This was one of the strongest Meta Quest 3S bundles reported during Black Friday 2024—not a live offer to assume is available today. Amazon and Target listings put the 128GB Quest 3S at about $299–$300, with Batman: Arkham Shadow, a three-month Meta Quest+ trial, and $75 in retailer credit. The credit was generally for future use, not an instant $75 price cut, and the promotion has expired.

The headset cost roughly $300 before tax. Tom’s Guide reported an Amazon offer involving the code QUEST75 or an on-page redemption step, while Target’s offer was described as including a $75 Target gift card. Was it really a good deal?
For a buyer already planning to purchase a Quest 3S and shop at the participating retailer, it was a particularly attractive bundle: the normal entry price came with a major game, a short subscription trial, and useful future spending credit. Contemporary coverage called it one of the strongest Quest 3S offers of that Black Friday period. That is a time- and comparison-specific judgment, not a claim that it was the best Quest deal ever.

- Conditional effective cost: about $225 if you would otherwise spend the entire $75 credit on a qualifying purchase. This is not the checkout price.
- Game value: Batman: Arkham Shadow was a substantial included benefit, but a stated retail value is not cash savings or resale value.
- Quest+ value: count it as three months of subscription access, not as permanent ownership of a library of games.
So the soundest way to assess the offer is to value each part according to how you would actually use it. The $75 is worth close to face value only if the retailer is one you shop with anyway; the game is valuable if you want to play it; and the subscription trial may be worth little if you do not plan to use Quest+.

What Quest+ and the included game mean
Batman: Arkham Shadow was the headline permanent-game benefit, subject to the promotion’s eligibility and redemption terms. Quest+ was different: it offered access to subscription titles during the trial, rather than giving you permanent ownership of every game described in promotional coverage. Tom’s Guide referred to access to additional games through Quest+, but that should not be read as six permanently owned games. Engadget reported that continuing Quest+ cost $8 per month at the time; that historical price should not be treated as a current subscription quote.
After setting up the headset, use the correct Meta account to check and redeem the included game and trial. Do not assume either benefit will appear automatically or that an account, region, or redemption deadline is irrelevant; confirm the terms attached to the eligible offer.

Quest 3S: the budget choice in the Quest 3 generation
The Quest 3S is a standalone mixed-reality and VR headset with color passthrough, Touch Plus controllers, and the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 platform. It supports the broad Quest software ecosystem and can also be used for PC VR streaming. Its lower price comes with a less capable optical system than the Quest 3: the 3S uses lower-cost Fresnel-style lenses, while Quest 3 uses pancake lenses and offers a clearer image across more of the view.
That makes the 3S a sensible first headset for families, casual players, budget-conscious buyers, and people keen to play Batman. It is a less natural fit for readers who are sensitive to blur or a small clear “sweet spot,” or who expect to read, work, or spend long sessions in virtual environments. Engadget’s coverage of the offer also highlighted the screen and lens compromises behind the lower price.

Road to VR reported that the Quest 3 512GB was about $500 in the same 2024 sale period, with a $75 Best Buy gift card, Batman, and three months of Quest+. That made the 3S roughly $200 cheaper, but not equivalent: better optics and much more storage are meaningful reasons to choose Quest 3 if the budget allows. Is 128GB enough?
It can be enough for a newcomer who keeps a modest selection of games installed and is willing to uninstall and redownload titles. It is less appealing if you want a large library ready to play: the operating system uses some capacity, and large VR games can take substantial space. A buyer who dislikes managing storage should compare the 256GB Quest 3S or Quest 3 rather than choosing the lowest sticker price by default.

In 2024, the 256GB Quest 3S was listed around $400, and a later Best Buy holiday offer bundled that model with Batman, Quest+, and a $75 gift card for $399.99. That was a different configuration and offer, not an upgrade included in the $300 128GB deal. The later promotion was marked expired by 9to5Toys.
How the promotion worked—and what to check on a live offer
The 2024 promotion is over, and QUEST75 is a historical code, not a current coupon to rely on. If you are comparing a new Quest deal, use this checklist before checkout:

- Confirm the exact model and capacity: Quest 3S 128GB is not Quest 3 or Quest 3S 256GB.
- Check that the listing explicitly includes Batman: Arkham Shadow and review its eligibility and redemption deadline.
- Identify exactly what “$75” means: retailer promotional credit, a digital or physical gift card, or another benefit. Do not assume it is Meta store credit.
- Read the seller and promotion terms. A marketplace seller, refurbished unit, open-box product, or different regional listing may not qualify.
- For a reported Amazon-style code offer, verify that the code is accepted at checkout or that the product page provides the stated redemption step. Do not assume a historical code still works.
- Save the order confirmation and terms, and check when the credit is issued, where it can be spent, and when it expires.
- After setup, confirm that Batman and the Quest+ trial are attached to the Meta account you intend to use. Check the trial’s end date and decide whether to cancel or continue before it expires.
A promotion can end even while a product page remains available. Credit may be delayed until shipment or delivery, may have restrictions, and may not be useful if you do not shop with that retailer. These are reasons to judge the actual checkout terms, not just a headline promising a gift card.
How it compares with later promotions
The 2024 offer was strong for its time, but later promotions show why “top deal” needs a date. Road to VR reported a 2025 Costco Quest 3S 128GB offer at $200 for members or $215 for nonmembers with 12 months of Meta Horizon+. That was a different bundle—with a longer subscription benefit and no identical $75-credit-plus-Batman comparison. As of August 2026, the supplied reporting does not verify that the 2024 promotion has returned. Anyone shopping now should compare current listings and terms rather than use the old price or code as a live offer. Official product pages can help identify models: Meta Quest 3S and Meta Quest 3.
The Bottom Line
Verdict: At about $300 in Black Friday 2024, the 128GB Quest 3S bundle was a standout for first-time buyers who wanted Batman and could use the $75 retailer credit. The credit was not an instant discount, Quest+ was temporary, and the 128GB model and softer optics were real trade-offs. The promotion has expired; verify any current offer independently.
