Malwarebytes blocks ufiler.pro because it says the domain was associated with a Trojan and that uFiler has been abused in malware campaigns. Do not continue through the warning, download ufiler.exe, or add the domain to an allow list.
A blocked page alone does not prove that your Windows PC is infected. The correct next step depends on whether Malwarebytes stopped navigation, a file was downloaded, or a downloaded program was executed.
What is the ufiler.pro Malwarebytes alert?
The warning is a genuine Malwarebytes threat-reputation alert. In its official detection entry, Malwarebytes says that ufiler.pro was blocked because it was associated with a Trojan. It describes uFiler as Russian file and download-management software whose distribution has been abused in malware campaigns.

The entry does not identify a specific malware family, file hash, campaign, command-and-control server, or forensic signature. It establishes that Malwarebytes considers the domain unsafe; it does not prove that every file ever distributed through it is malicious or that every blocked visitor has an active infection.

Is uFiler itself malware?
The uFiler website presents the product as a free Windows file and download manager. Its instructions tell users to download and run ufiler.exe, and it says the program can operate without a conventional installation.
Malwarebytes, however, says the software has been abused in malware campaigns. The safest conclusion is not that every legitimate uFiler build is universally malicious, but that downloads from ufiler.pro should be treated as unsafe in this alert context. A polished website, a privacy policy, or a program’s stated purpose is not independent proof that its executable is safe.
The site’s privacy policy describes the collection of information such as IP address, cookies, browser and device details, software information, access time, and requested pages. Those are data-practice disclosures, not malware-safety validation.
What does “Trojan” mean here?
A Trojan is software that appears legitimate or useful but performs malicious actions or delivers malicious components. The available Malwarebytes entry does not say which Trojan behavior triggered this particular classification.
Malwarebytes block pages can represent different categories, including malware, Trojan, riskware, suspicious download, phishing, and reputation blocks. The distinction matters:

What should you do now?
If Malwarebytes blocked the page and nothing was downloaded
- Close the tab or use the browser’s Back button.
- Do not click through the warning or disable Browser Guard.
- Do not add
ufiler.proto Malwarebytes’ allow list. - Check your browser’s recent downloads and delete any partial file.
- Review unexpected browser notifications, extensions, or redirects if the alert appeared without an obvious reason.
- Keep Malwarebytes and your browser updated.
This is normally a prevention event, not evidence that a Trojan is already running. You can run a scan for reassurance, but do not describe the alert alone as proof of infection.

If a file was downloaded but not opened
- Do not double-click it, extract it, or open it from the browser’s download bar.
- Record the exact filename and extension if you may need to report it.
- Delete it from the Downloads folder, then empty the Recycle Bin if appropriate.
- Run a Malwarebytes threat scan.
- Run a scan with Windows’ built-in security protection for an independent check.
- Check whether the download also created a shortcut, script, archive, or installer.
Do not upload confidential files to public scanning services without considering privacy, company policy, and whether the file contains sensitive information.
If you ran ufiler.exe or another downloaded file
- If suspicious activity is ongoing, disconnect the PC from the internet.
- Do not sign in to banking, email, work, or other sensitive accounts from that device.
- Run Malwarebytes’ threat scan and follow quarantine or restart instructions.
- After restarting, scan again if requested.
- Review installed applications, startup entries, scheduled tasks, browser extensions, proxy settings, administrator accounts, and unexpected antivirus exclusions.
- From a known-clean device, change important passwords and enable multifactor authentication.
- For a work computer, contact your administrator or security team instead of attempting an informal cleanup.
Ransomware, disabled security tools, repeated reinfection, unexplained outbound traffic, or suspected credential theft are reasons to seek professional incident-response help. Preserve relevant logs before deleting evidence when a serious compromise is suspected.
Should you add ufiler.pro to Malwarebytes’ Allow list?
Normally, no. Allow-listing defeats the protection that produced the warning. Malwarebytes says an item should be added only when you are absolutely certain it is harmless.

In the Windows Malwarebytes application, the documented path is generally Detection History → Allow list → Add item. You can then choose a website, application, file, or folder and confirm the security warning. Labels can vary by product release and platform.

If you need a download manager, obtain software from a well-established vendor or the operating system’s normal software ecosystem. Do not pay for security software merely to bypass this warning, and do not disable protection to run the file.
Do not confuse ufiler.pro with ufiler-pro.ru
These are different domains:
ufiler.proufiler-pro.ru
Malwarebytes has a separate detection entry for ufiler-pro.ru. It describes that domain as likely mimicking the URL for a free Windows file and download manager and says it hosts malware. Similar names may indicate related distribution or impersonation activity, but evidence about one domain should not automatically be presented as proof about the other.
Could the alert be a false positive?
A false positive is possible in principle, and a website can remain blocked after its risk changes. But the available detection entry does not provide enough evidence to declare this particular alert false.

If you believe the block is incorrect, Malwarebytes recommends contacting support or reporting the suspected mistake rather than disabling protection. A clean result from another antivirus does not automatically invalidate a domain-reputation block; compare the exact URL, file, hash, publisher, and detection names.
How to evaluate a specific downloaded file
If you must investigate a file, use several signals together:
- Exact file: Confirm the filename, extension, size, and where it came from. Be wary of double extensions such as
document.pdf.exe. - Publisher signature: In Windows, open the file’s properties and inspect its digital signature. A valid signature and recognizable publisher are useful evidence, but a signature does not guarantee safe behavior.
- Hash: Calculate the file’s SHA-256 hash and compare it with a hash published by a verified vendor through an independent, trusted channel.
- Acquisition path: Search-ad redirects, unsolicited pop-ups, bundled installers, and email attachments deserve more caution than a verified vendor distribution channel.
- Multiple reputable scans: Compare results for the same file and hash. A clean scan is not an absolute guarantee, especially for new or evasive malware.
Never disable antivirus protection just to make an executable run. If the file is work-related or potentially sensitive, ask an administrator or security professional to examine it in an approved environment.
Bottom line
Treat the Malwarebytes warning for ufiler.pro as credible and do not bypass it. If Malwarebytes only blocked navigation, you are not automatically infected. If you downloaded or executed a file, escalate your response from deletion and scanning to device isolation, account protection, and professional assistance when necessary.
