Yes—MAINGEAR’s MG-1 can be configured with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series graphics and AMD Ryzen 9000 processors. But the $1,999 starting price often attached to this news belongs to the March 2025 launch, not the current lineup: MAINGEAR now lists an “all-new MG-1,” with preconfigured systems priced from $2,449 to $7,899 on its U.S. store. The catalog also includes Intel and Radeon options, so neither RTX 50 graphics nor Ryzen 9000 is standard in every configuration.
What MAINGEAR announced in 2025
On March 31, 2025, MAINGEAR announced four preconfigured MG-1 tiers with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50-series graphics, alongside AMD Ryzen 9000-series or Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor options. The launch prices below are historical announced prices, not a guide to today’s catalog. MAINGEAR’s 2025 announcement also described a Boost package that doubled RAM and SSD capacity and upgraded Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Pro.

Those launch configurations are useful history, but they should not be mistaken for current prices or a complete picture of what MAINGEAR sells now.

MAINGEAR’s current New MG-1 collection lists preconfigured systems across RTX 50-series, Radeon RX 9000-series, Intel, and AMD platforms. The prices and specifications below were displayed on the U.S. store on August 18, 2026; stock labels and prices can change.

The collection page’s broader custom-system starting-price signal differs from the least expensive preconfigured listing: the current collection advertises custom MG-1 systems from $2,577, while its preconfigured Ruby system is listed at $2,449. These are different buying paths, so compare the actual parts and checkout total rather than treating either figure as a universal MG-1 starting price. The older $1,999 Platinum launch price is not the current starting price.
Which graphics and processors are available?
The current collection advertises NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, 5070, 5070 Ti, 5080, and 5090 graphics options. MAINGEAR also lists Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT options, so the MG-1 range is not NVIDIA-only.

“Ryzen 9000 available” describes a platform choice, not every system in the catalog. Listed Ryzen 9000-family choices include the Ryzen 5 9600X, Ryzen 7 9700X, 9800X3D and 9850X3D, and Ryzen 9 9900X, 9900X3D, 9950X and 9950X3D. MAINGEAR also lists a Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition under that exact product name. Some preconfigured MG-1s instead use the older Ryzen 7 7800X3D or an Intel Core Ultra processor. The collection shows component options and preconfigured systems; that does not mean every possible CPU-and-GPU pairing is offered as a ready-to-ship tier.
How to choose a configuration
- For a more restrained high-end gaming build: the $2,949 Platinum pairs an RTX 5070 with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB RAM, and 2TB storage. It is not a Ryzen 9000 system; choose it for the listed combination, not because of the headline’s processor generation.
- For an RTX 5080 and a current Ryzen X3D option: the $3,999 Elite pairs an RTX 5080 with the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, 32GB RAM, and 2TB storage. It is a straightforward enthusiast configuration on paper, but the listing alone does not establish its gaming performance or value against other PCs.
- For more memory and storage with an RTX 5080: the $4,999 Legend keeps the Ryzen 7 9850X3D and RTX 5080, while moving to 64GB RAM and 4TB storage. Those capacities are most useful if your applications, projects, or game library need them.
- For an RTX 5090 gaming-focused build: the $6,399 Champion combines it with a Ryzen 7 9850X3D, 32GB RAM, and 2TB storage. The extra GPU tier may matter for demanding display and graphics workloads, but a high price does not guarantee a proportional benefit in every game or resolution.
- For heavier creation or multitasking as well as gaming: the $7,899 Ultimate adds a Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition, 64GB RAM, and 4TB storage alongside the RTX 5090. Its extra CPU, memory, and storage capacity may be more relevant to demanding non-gaming work than to ordinary gaming alone. - If you want an AMD graphics alternative: the listed $3,299 Diamond pairs a Radeon RX 9070 XT with a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB RAM, and 2TB storage. Choose between Radeon and GeForce based on your software, features, and independent comparisons for the games you play; the product listing does not establish a performance-per-dollar winner.
There are no independent benchmarks in the cited product information to prove a particular tier is “best” for 1440p or 4K. Results depend on the game, resolution, settings, ray tracing, upscaling, and whether the processor or graphics card limits performance. Likewise, 32GB is the listed baseline on most configurations; whether you need more depends on your applications and workload, not just the PC’s tier name.

What the MG-1 platform offers—and what “up to” means
MAINGEAR’s technical page describes the MG-1 Mk. II chassis as 475mm wide, 498mm deep, and 230mm high. It lists platform options including up to 128GB of RGB DDR5-6000 memory, one 4TB Gen5 NVMe SSD, up to five 4TB Gen4 NVMe SSDs, and up to 8TB of hard-drive capacity across two bays. Cooling options include 360mm all-in-one liquid coolers; AMD motherboard choices include B850 and X870E chipsets. An optional MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk MAX WiFi PZ reverse-connection motherboard is listed for MG-RC builds.
Other listed platform options include power supplies up to 1600W 80 Plus Titanium, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and up to 10Gb Ethernet. Front connections include USB-A at 5Gbps, USB-C at 20Gbps, and a combined 3.5mm audio jack. These are platform maximums and options, not the specification of every preconfigured PC. Check the specific build for its motherboard, PSU, cooling, memory, and storage before ordering. Is a prebuilt MG-1 worth the price?
A prebuilt can be worth paying more for if you want assembly, component compatibility selection, system testing, cable management, Windows installation, and one company to contact for support. MAINGEAR advertises lifetime technical support, but read the warranty policy before treating that as free, end-to-end service: after the first 30 days, customers generally pay shipping to MAINGEAR, and supported upgrade service requires parts sourced directly through MAINGEAR. Service restoration may erase data from the primary drive, so maintain a backup.
The trade-off is less freedom to select every individual component and a price that may exceed sourcing parts yourself. The dossier does not provide a same-spec DIY build or competitor comparison, so there is no defensible exact premium to quote. Compare the complete specification—including power supply, motherboard, cooler, memory, storage, warranty terms, and shipping—rather than matching only the CPU and GPU. Financing is also advertised, but monthly-payment estimates are subject to qualification and checkout terms.

Availability and buying checks
MAINGEAR’s listings may show Quickship labels, but stock and component availability can change. Before ordering, confirm the exact processor and graphics card, memory capacity, SSD generation and size, operating-system edition, cooling, power supply, and any substitutions shown at checkout. For a custom system, verify the configurator’s final combination rather than assuming every component in the broader catalog can be paired with every other component.
The key distinction is date and product generation: March 2025’s four launch tiers explain the original RTX 50-series news, while the current store’s all-new MG-1 collection is the relevant reference for advertised 2026 configurations and prices.
