Lymow’s current retail mower, the Lymow One Plus, combines dual rotary mulching blades, tank-style tracked propulsion and wire-free RTK/VSLAM navigation. That makes it a substantially different proposition from small razor-blade, wheeled robot mowers—especially on steep or rough lawns. It is also a heavy, expensive machine whose headline ratings remain manufacturer claims and whose installation, positioning and support requirements deserve careful checking.
What Lymow unveiled—and which model matters now
The name “Lymow” covers several announcements rather than one unchanged mower. The company previewed its first boundary-wire-free robot at CES 2024, presented the upgraded Lymow One at CES 2025, and promoted the newer One Plus around CES 2026.

- CES 2024: Lymow previewed a tracked, wire-free robotic mower using RTK-VSLAM positioning and obstacle sensors. Lymow’s announcement described 45-degree slope capability and clearance of obstacles up to 2 inches.
- CES 2025: The Lymow One was described with an upgraded front mulching deck, LySee navigation and improved terrain adaptability. Power Progress’ report covers that generation.
- CES 2026: The One Plus became the newer retail-facing model, adding the dual rotary-blade and cyclone-airflow positioning described on Lymow’s product page.
The original Lymow One page currently shows the US and Canadian model as sold out and directs shoppers toward One Plus. Specifications below refer to One Plus unless explicitly identified otherwise.
Why rotary mulching blades are the central innovation
Most robotic mowers use several small razor-style blades. Lymow instead uses two conventional rotary blades made from SK5 steel. The One Plus lists blade speed of up to 6,000 rpm, a 16-inch (400 mm) cutting width and a floating deck.

What that design is intended to do
- Cut taller, denser or coarser grass more aggressively than a light razor-blade deck.
- Reduce clippings more finely through rotary cutting and the company’s claimed cyclone airflow, which is intended to lift flattened grass and improve consistency.
- Shred some fallen leaves during normal mowing. This is a capability claim, not a promise that the machine replaces a leaf vacuum: deep, wet or heavily layered leaves can overwhelm a low-clearance robot and may require several passes or manual cleanup.
The maintenance and safety consequence
Rotary blades can encounter hard debris with more serious consequences than small disposable blades. Owners should remove branches, toys, stones and other objects before operation, follow the service instructions and confirm the replacement-blade procedure and cost for their region. Lymow advertises a blade deck that lifts for cleaning and an off-ground shutoff system, but those safeguards do not make an unattended mower safe in an uncontrolled area. Wet grass can clump under the deck, increase motor load and reduce cut quality; an overgrown lawn may need an initial manual cut.
What tracked treads add—and what they cost
The One Plus uses continuous tracks rather than ordinary wheels. Lymow rates it for slopes up to 45 degrees (a 100% incline) and obstacle crossing up to 50 mm (2 inches). Tracks can spread contact over soft ground and maintain traction across wet grass, roots, gravel transitions and uneven surfaces.
Why the rating is not a universal slope guarantee
A maximum incline normally describes a favorable direction and test condition. A side hill can behave very differently from a direct uphill climb, particularly when the turf is wet or the edge drops away. Turning, braking, mud, loose soil and the mower’s approach to an obstacle all affect stability. Treat “45 degrees” as Lymow’s limit, not a blanket recommendation for every 45-degree section of property.
Track-specific trade-offs
- Tracks add weight, friction, cost and mechanical complexity.
- Grass, mud, roots and stones can collect around sprockets, idlers and track tensioners; cleaning access and adjustment instructions matter.
- Tight turns may be less gentle on soft or wet turf than a wheeled mower.
- At 77.6 lb (35.2 kg), the machine is substantial to carry, recover from a ditch or move between areas.
How wire-free navigation works in practice
“Wire-free” removes the buried perimeter cable, not the installation work. One Plus combines RTK satellite positioning with VSLAM (visual simultaneous localization and mapping), AI vision, ultrasonic sensing, bumper sensors and cliff detection. Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 4G provide local setup and connectivity options.

RTK and VSLAM dependencies
RTK can provide highly precise location when the reference station has a clear view of the sky and a reliable signal. Trees, buildings, terrain and poor station placement can create dead zones. Lymow’s specifications say mowing without RTK is limited to a small area and roughly 10 minutes, so dependable positioning is a prerequisite for many installations. VSLAM and vision can help the mower understand its surroundings, but they do not make a blocked satellite signal irrelevant.
Installation checklist
- Place the RTK base station where it has the clearest practical sky view and stable power.
- Align the charging dock as instructed and verify that the approach is unobstructed.
- Connect the app, Wi-Fi or 4G, grant required permissions and install firmware updates.
- Map every lawn section, boundary and no-go zone rather than assuming the mower will infer them safely.
- Run each zone while supervised, including transitions between areas, docking and recovery from a positioning interruption.
- Only then schedule unattended mowing, with toys, hoses, branches and pet waste removed first.

Daily coverage is not the same as single-charge coverage. Mowing speed, charging time, overlap, grass density, terrain, obstacle avoidance and time spent navigating can all reduce the area completed in a day.
What independent coverage has found
Tom’s Guide found the One Plus effective on its test lawn and noted the benefit of tracks on rough terrain, while also saying the reviewer was not ready to abandon a riding mower. That is a useful distinction: good robotic performance on one lawn does not establish that the machine replaces every large-mower use case.

T3 reported the One Plus’ availability after its CES appearance and highlighted the 45-degree claim, dual SK5 rotary blades, 40-cm deck and dedicated blade motors. Those are reported product details, not evidence that every property will achieve the advertised result. Long-term reliability, parts supply and service performance remain separate ownership questions.

Current retail signals
On the US One Plus page, Lymow lists approximately $2,999 for the 5A version and $3,199 for the 10A version. The page has displayed an estimated US shipping window of 1–3 business days, but inventory, promotions and regional delivery dates can change; confirm the exact configuration and total at checkout.
The original One page lists $2,999 but currently indicates that US/Canada stock is sold out. That makes One Plus the practical current purchase path rather than an interchangeable name for the earlier model.
Warranty and service questions
Purchase materials contain three-year warranty language, while the warranty update should be checked for the exact model, region, exclusions and covered components. Before ordering, ask whether tracks, blades, motors and battery receive equal coverage; what replacement parts cost and how quickly they ship; whether 4G remains included; and whether local repair exists or the mower must be sent overseas. App-store feedback and community posts mention setup, connectivity, positioning, track adjustment and support responsiveness, but these are anecdotal reports rather than a measured defect rate. It is a plausible fit when
- The lawn is large enough for autonomous mowing to save substantial time.
- Slopes, wet ground, roots or gravel transitions make wheeled robots unreliable.
- You specifically want rotary cutting for taller grass and some leaf shredding.
- The property can support a clear RTK installation and reliable Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity.
- You are comfortable maintaining a newer, mechanically complex smart-yard product.
Use caution when
- The lawn is small and flat, making the premium difficult to justify.
- Dense trees, buildings, disconnected strips, narrow passages, ponds or steep drop-offs complicate mapping.
- Toys, hoses, pet waste and loose branches are frequently left on the lawn.
- Peak-season downtime is unacceptable or you require a mature dealer and service network.
- You expect the maximum acreage, slope or obstacle figures to apply unchanged to your conditions.
- Children, pets or members of the public can enter the mowing area without supervision.
Questions to answer before ordering
- Is the exact 5A or 10A configuration in stock in your country, rather than a preorder or estimated shipment?
- What warranty applies to your region and purchase channel, and which components are excluded?
- What are the delivered price and lead time for blades, tracks, chargers and batteries?
- Where can the RTK station be placed with unobstructed sky visibility?
- Can the mower handle the property’s side slopes and transitions, not only a straight uphill test?
- What happens if RTK lock, Wi-Fi or 4G is lost?
- Can it move between your mapped zones without manual relocation?
- What is the return policy after installation and use?
- Does Lymow recommend mowing leaves only when they are dry and shallow?
Verdict
Lymow’s meaningful innovation is the combination of a genuine rotary cutting deck and tracked traction, not merely a different shell around a conventional robot. The One Plus is a credible high-interest option for large, uneven or sloped properties where traction and tougher cutting matter more than compact size. Its $2,999–$3,199 US price, 77.6-pound weight, RTK installation and newer support ecosystem make it a poor choice for buyers seeking a completely hands-off appliance. Treat the impressive slope, acreage, leaf and battery figures as manufacturer claims, test every mapped area before unattended use, and verify parts, warranty and regional service before paying.
