Lenovo used MWC 2026 to demonstrate two unusual pieces of hardware: the Yoga Book Pro 3D Concept, a glasses-free 3D creator laptop, and the Legion Go Fold Concept, a foldable gaming handheld. Neither is a retail product with a confirmed price or release date. They were shown alongside announced Yoga, IdeaPad, Legion and tablet products, plus Lenovo Qira, the company’s cross-device personal ambient intelligence system.
Lenovo’s announcements were made in Barcelona on March 2, 2026, according to the body of its MWC announcement. The company’s press-kit listing labels the release March 1, so the date is best understood as Lenovo’s MWC 2026 announcement window rather than evidence of a product launch.
Lenovo’s MWC 2026 lineup falls into three groups

- Announced consumer products: new Yoga, IdeaPad, Idea Tab and Legion devices intended for regional release.
- Software and ecosystem: Lenovo Qira, designed to connect supported PCs, tablets, smartphones and wearables.
The two headline devices are demonstrations of possible future products, not newly available laptops or handhelds. Lenovo’s consumer announcement explicitly uses “Concept” and “proof of concept” language for them.

Yoga Book Pro 3D Concept: a glasses-free 3D creator laptop
The Yoga Book Pro 3D Concept is more than a conventional laptop fitted with a stereoscopic display. Lenovo is presenting it as a complete 3D workflow combining a glasses-free display, a second touch surface, AI-assisted content conversion and gesture-based controls.
How the two-screen design works
The upper half has a glasses-free 3D display. Below it is a second touch display intended to keep controls separate from the main visual workspace. Lenovo says the concept uses two Lenovo PureSight Pro Tandem OLED displays and is built around an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU.
Lenovo says its AI software can convert 2D material into 3D and generate a surrounding environment for a converted object. That could help a creator move from a photograph, illustration or other 2D reference toward a rough 3D presentation without starting every asset from scratch. However, the announcement does not establish whether those conversions are suitable for production work, which applications are supported, or which file formats are compatible.

Gestures and snap-on controls
An RGB camera enables what Lenovo calls “zero touch” interaction. The company describes gestures for actions such as zooming and rotating objects. Snap-on control pads are intended for adjustments including lighting, viewing angle and tone.
That combination could reduce the need to move between the canvas and traditional controls. It could also be useful when a creator wants to manipulate a model without touching a surface. But Lenovo has not supplied data on gesture accuracy, latency, lighting conditions, accessibility, or what happens when the camera cannot see a user’s hands. For precise modelling, a mouse, keyboard, pen or dedicated 3D controller may still be more predictable.
What problem is Lenovo trying to solve?
Lenovo positions the concept for professional and recreational 3D creators. Its intended advantages are clear:
- Preview depth without dedicated 3D glasses or an external 3D display.
- Keep a model on the upper screen while controls remain on the lower screen.
- Turn 2D references into an initial 3D representation using Lenovo’s AI software.
- Adjust selected scene properties without obscuring the main canvas.
Those are Lenovo’s intended use cases, not independently measured productivity gains. Glasses-free 3D can depend on viewing position, eye tracking, content format and ambient lighting. The concept’s two OLED panels and discrete GPU could also bring trade-offs in weight, heat, battery life and price.

Important unanswered questions
Lenovo has not announced whether the 3D effect works for multiple viewers, whether eye tracking is required, whether the display can operate normally in 2D mode, or whether the AI conversion runs locally, in the cloud or through a hybrid system. The release also does not provide a complete processor model, GPU power limit, cooling design, battery capacity, sustained-performance figures or benchmark results.
For now, the Core Ultra 7 and RTX 5070 specifications describe the demonstrated concept configuration. They should not be treated as specifications for a confirmed retail Yoga laptop.
Legion Go Fold Concept: a handheld that changes shape
The Legion Go Fold Concept is a foldable gaming PC designed to change between handheld, split-screen, large-screen and desktop-style use. It combines a foldable POLED display with detachable Legion Go-style controllers.
The screen expands from 7.7 inches to 11.6 inches. Lenovo lists a 48 Wh battery, 32 GB of RAM and an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor for the concept. The announcement does not identify a GPU, display resolution, refresh rate, brightness, storage capacity, operating system, weight or price, so gaming performance cannot be inferred from the processor and memory figures alone.

- Standard Handheld Mode: The device uses its 7.7-inch display with the controllers attached for conventional portable gaming.
- Vertical Split-Screen Mode: The display folds upward so one area can show a game while another displays a stream, guide, chat or walkthrough.
- Horizon Full Screen Mode: The screen rotates 90 degrees and expands to 11.6 inches for a larger gaming view.
- Expanded Desktop Mode: The device works with an included wireless keyboard and touchpad for gaming, browsing, streaming or work.
Controllers and desktop interaction
The right controller can operate as a vertical mouse. It also includes a small display and touch surface for metrics, settings and a customizable hotkey. That could be useful for first-person shooters or for navigating a Windows-style interface without carrying a separate mouse.
It should not automatically be considered a replacement for a full-size mouse. The announcement provides no input-latency, compatibility or ergonomics data, and precision work may still favour a conventional mouse. Detachable controllers also create additional points to manage: pairing, charging, storage and connection reliability.
Why the design is promising—and difficult
A foldable panel could provide a much larger screen without requiring the user to carry a permanently large tablet. Split-screen mode is particularly interesting for players who want a game and a guide, stream or chat visible at the same time. The keyboard could also make the concept more useful for short trips where a laptop would otherwise be required.

The trade-offs are just as important. Folding hardware introduces hinge, crease, durability and repair questions. The 11.6-inch configuration could become awkward or top-heavy in handheld use. A 48 Wh battery may face significant demands from a PC-class processor and a larger, potentially high-refresh display, but Lenovo supplies no battery-life estimate. The announcement also does not say how many hinge cycles the design is rated for, whether the screen folds flat in both directions, or whether the controllers can be used while detached and charging.
Most importantly, this is a proof of concept. Lenovo has not announced retail availability, a launch date or a standard purchase path.
Lenovo Qira is the software layer connecting the portfolio
Lenovo also introduced Qira, which it describes as Personal Ambient Intelligence. Rather than presenting Qira as an ordinary standalone assistant app, Lenovo says it is integrated at the system level and intended to work across supported PCs, tablets, smartphones and wearables.
Lenovo says Qira can maintain continuity between tasks and devices, use context from applications and workflows when users grant permission, and suggest actions during active sessions. The company announced an initial rollout across more than 20 Lenovo PC devices through updates and preloads, with support for six languages across nine regions. Lenovo also said that support would expand to additional devices and Motorola smartphones during 2026.
This is a staged rollout, not universal availability. The announcement does not independently establish how well cross-device context works in practice, what permissions are required for every workflow, or whether processing is local, cloud-based or hybrid. Users should also check the supported-device list, language availability and privacy controls before assuming that a particular Lenovo product includes the full Qira experience.

Alongside the concepts, Lenovo announced a broad consumer lineup. Regional launch timing and pricing vary, and the cited releases primarily provide estimated EMEA information rather than universal U.S. availability.

Products worth checking by buyer type
- Premium convertible buyers: The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 Aura Edition is the closest announced commercial product to the Yoga concept’s creator-oriented direction, although it does not offer the concept’s glasses-free 3D system.
- Creators and power users: The Yoga Pro 7a is the relevant announced option for an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ laptop, but the cited material does not establish U.S. pricing or independent sustained-performance results.
- Tablet buyers interested in Qira: The Idea Tab Pro Gen 2 is the first announced tablet host for Qira, but Lenovo says it is arriving later in 2026 and the available announcement does not provide a verified current U.S. price.
- Gamers: The Legion 7a and Legion Tab are announced gaming products. The Legion Tab is the nearer commercial category match for portable gaming, but it does not provide the foldable screen or four-mode design shown by the Legion Go Fold Concept.
For current configurations, prices and regional availability, check Lenovo’s official U.S. store rather than treating estimated regional pricing in the MWC release as a U.S. launch promise.
What Lenovo’s showcase suggests
Lenovo’s MWC presentation points toward three connected ideas: hardware that adapts to different tasks, AI integrated into the operating experience, and devices that blur the boundaries between gaming, productivity and content creation.
The Yoga Book Pro 3D Concept adapts the creator workflow around depth and touch controls. The Legion Go Fold Concept changes its physical layout depending on whether the user is gaming, viewing content or working. Qira is intended to make the experience continue across devices.
That strategy is interesting precisely because the most ambitious examples are not finished products. Lenovo is showing possible directions before committing to mass-market hardware. The practical test for either concept would be less about the headline specification and more about the details Lenovo has not yet disclosed: comfort, software compatibility, repairability, battery life, durability, input precision, privacy controls and final pricing.
Bottom line: Lenovo showed compelling prototypes at MWC 2026, not a retail Yoga 3D laptop or foldable Legion Go. Readers can investigate the announced Yoga, IdeaPad, Idea Tab and Legion products now, subject to regional availability, but the Yoga Book Pro 3D and Legion Go Fold belong on a watchlist until Lenovo confirms commercial hardware.
