Si la limite d’une application Family Link n’est pas respectée, vérifiez d’abord quatre points : l’appareil de l’enfant doit être compatible, l’application ne doit pas être réglée sur Durée illimitée, le bon compte supervisé doit être utilisé et l’appareil doit être connecté à Internet. Une modification n’est pas toujours instantanée : le blocage ou le déblocage peut prendre environ cinq minutes ou attendre la reconnexion de l’appareil.
1. Vérifiez que Family Link peut appliquer cette limite
Les limites par application sont prises en charge sur un appareil sous Android 7.0 ou version ultérieure, ainsi que sur un Chromebook sous ChromeOS 83 ou version ultérieure. Les applications système ne peuvent pas toujours être limitées comme les applications téléchargées.
Sur le téléphone de l’enfant, contrôlez la version depuis Paramètres > À propos du téléphone > Version Android. Les intitulés peuvent varier selon la marque et la version du système.
Family Link ne fournit pas les mêmes fonctions lorsque l’enfant utilise un iPhone ou un iPad. L’application peut être installée sur l’iPhone du parent, mais les limites de temps, l’activité des applications et plusieurs restrictions ne s’appliquent pas de la même manière à l’appareil Apple de l’enfant. Utilisez plutôt Temps d’écran d’Apple pour limiter cet appareil.

Enfin, vérifiez que l’enfant utilise bien l’application concernée. Une limite appliquée à l’application officielle ne couvre pas nécessairement l’accès au même service dans Chrome, via un raccourci Web ou dans un navigateur intégré.

2. Recréez correctement la limite d’application
Dans l’application Family Link du parent, ouvrez :

- Sélectionnez le compte de l’enfant.
- Appuyez sur Temps d’écran.
- Ouvrez Limites de temps.
- Appuyez sur Limites pour les applications.
- Sélectionnez l’application.
- Appuyez sur Définir une limite.
- Choisissez la durée, puis appuyez sur OK.
Les noms des menus peuvent légèrement changer selon la langue, la version de Family Link et l’appareil. Après l’enregistrement, assurez-vous que l’application n’est pas simultanément réglée sur Durée illimitée ou Bloquée.

Pour corriger un réglage incertain, supprimez la limite existante, recréez-la avec la durée voulue, puis testez directement sur l’appareil de l’enfant.

3. Ne confondez pas les différents types de restrictions
- Limite quotidienne : durée totale autorisée sur l’appareil.
- Limite d’application : durée réservée à une application précise.
- Durée illimitée : l’application peut rester accessible même lorsque la limite quotidienne est atteinte.
- Temps de déconnexion : plage horaire pendant laquelle l’appareil est restreint.
- Heures d’école : programmation distincte pour les périodes scolaires.
- Verrouillage manuel : blocage déclenché immédiatement par le parent.
- Bonus de temps ou temps supplémentaire : prolongation temporaire accordée sans modifier la programmation permanente.
Une application autorisée sans limite peut donc rester disponible après l’atteinte de la limite quotidienne. En revanche, un verrouillage manuel peut aussi rendre ces applications indisponibles, selon les paramètres de verrouillage.
4. Les huit vérifications à effectuer si l’application reste accessible
- Le bon enfant est-il sélectionné ? Dans Family Link, vérifiez le compte affiché avant de modifier la limite.
- Le bon appareil est-il concerné ? Si l’enfant possède plusieurs appareils Android ou ChromeOS, vérifiez chacun d’eux.
- La limite est-elle active aujourd’hui ? Contrôlez le jour et la programmation hebdomadaire.
- L’application est-elle illimitée ? Ce réglage explique fréquemment pourquoi elle reste utilisable.
- L’appareil est-il en ligne ? Activez le Wi-Fi ou les données mobiles et vérifiez que la connexion fonctionne réellement.
- Le délai de synchronisation est-il écoulé ? Attendez environ cinq minutes après une action de blocage ou de déblocage.
- Un autre profil est-il utilisé ? Un profil invité ou un profil utilisateur auquel le compte supervisé n’est pas connecté peut ne pas recevoir les paramètres Family Link.
- La date et l’heure sont-elles correctes ? Un réglage inhabituel peut perturber l’interprétation des horaires ; ne le considérez toutefois pas automatiquement comme la cause.
Les paramètres Family Link s’appliquent au compte supervisé connecté à l’appareil. Ils ne s’appliquent pas aux nouveaux profils utilisateur auxquels ce compte n’est pas associé.

5. Contrôlez les horaires et le verrouillage
Dans Family Link, sélectionnez l’enfant, ouvrez Temps d’écran, puis Programmations. Vérifiez les horaires de Temps de déconnexion et d’Heures d’école, notamment l’heure de début, l’heure de fin et le jour sélectionné.
Pour examiner les applications accessibles pendant un verrouillage, ouvrez :
Family Link > compte de l’enfant > Paramètres > Appareils connectés au compte > appareil de l’enfant > Paramètres de l’écran de verrouillage > Applications sans limite de temps.

Sur plusieurs appareils, vérifiez la limite sur chacun et testez le comportement réel. La documentation Google explique l’application des limites aux appareils Android et ChromeOS, mais le calcul du temps entre plusieurs appareils peut être difficile à interpréter ; ne présumez donc pas qu’il sera toujours agrégé de façon identique.

- Connectez l’appareil de l’enfant à Internet.
- Ouvrez Family Link sur le téléphone du parent et vérifiez que la modification est toujours enregistrée.
- Ouvrez ou fermez l’application concernée sur l’appareil de l’enfant.
- Verrouillez puis déverrouillez l’appareil depuis Family Link.
- Attendez quelques minutes.
- Redémarrez l’appareil de l’enfant.
- Si nécessaire, désactivez puis recréez la limite.
Google indique qu’une action de blocage ou de déblocage peut prendre environ cinq minutes ou être appliquée dès que l’appareil retrouve une connexion. Pour les autres modifications, ce délai est une précaution pratique, pas une garantie universelle.
Vous pouvez également mettre à jour Family Link, Google Play Services, Android et ChromeOS, puis redémarrer les appareils. Cette séquence est un dépannage général, pas une solution garantie à une cause précise.

7. Accorder seulement quelques minutes supplémentaires
Si le blocage est volontaire mais que l’enfant a besoin d’un délai ponctuel, utilisez Bonus de temps ou Temps supplémentaire :

- Ouvrez Family Link.
- Sélectionnez l’enfant.
- Appuyez sur Temps d’écran.
- Sous l’appareil de l’enfant, appuyez sur Bonus de temps ou Temps supplémentaire.
- Définissez la durée et confirmez avec OK.
C’est préférable à la désactivation complète de la supervision lorsque l’autorisation ne doit être que temporaire.
8. Si le problème persiste
Après avoir vérifié la compatibilité, le compte, le profil, la connexion, les horaires et la limite recréée, contactez l’assistance Google si le problème continue. Préparez le modèle de l’appareil, la version Android ou ChromeOS, la version de Family Link, le nom de l’application, des captures des réglages et la date et l’heure d’un test précis.
Évitez de supprimer le compte enfant ou la supervision en premier recours : cette mesure est lourde et ne corrige généralement pas une limite mal configurée, un appareil incompatible ou un problème de synchronisation.
Quelle solution si Family Link ne correspond pas à vos appareils ?
Sur Android, Bien-être numérique et contrôle parental peut compléter le diagnostic ou fournir un contrôle local. Sur iPhone et iPad, Temps d’écran d’Apple est généralement plus adapté. Les applications tierces peuvent convenir à un foyer multi-plateforme ou à un besoin de filtrage Web et de rapports avancés, mais elles peuvent être payantes, plus complexes et ne résoudront pas une incompatibilité fondamentale de Family Link.
Le diagnostic le plus fiable consiste donc à commencer par la plateforme et le compte utilisés, puis à vérifier le réglage Durée illimitée, les horaires, le navigateur, la connexion et le délai de synchronisation avant d’envisager une autre solution.
