Verdict: The KYY K3 is a convenient, low-power 15.6-inch Full HD portable monitor for documents, terminals, dashboards and travel multitasking—but its measured 67% sRGB coverage makes it a poor choice for color-sensitive work. It is worth considering when discounted, or when its detachable magnetic case and included power adapter matter to you. If a similarly capable MNN M156F01 is still substantially cheaper, the KYY is harder to recommend.
This assessment is based on ServeTheHome’s March 13, 2026 review. Prices cited below are the review’s historical observations, not current quotes.
Who the KYY K3 makes sense for
The K3 is aimed at people who need more screen space without carrying a conventional desktop monitor: laptop users on the move, travelers, temporary workstations, or anyone who wants a basic display for a server or homelab. Its 1920×1080 resolution is useful for text and general productivity, and its two full-function USB-C ports and Mini HDMI input cover common connection setups.

Design and basic specifications
The KYY K3 has a 15.6-inch IPS panel with a 1920×1080 resolution. The tested unit can be used in landscape or portrait orientation and comes with a foldable magnetic case that doubles as a stand. With the stand, the monitor measures approximately 14.48 × 0.35 × 8.85 inches. A control wheel and power/back button handle monitor controls such as brightness.
The magnetic case is detachable, which is useful if you want to separate the display from its cover. That convenience comes with a trade-off: ServeTheHome found the KYY’s attachment less sturdy than the screw-mounted case on the MNN M156F01. Choose the KYY for easy removal; favor the MNN if a more secure physical attachment matters more.

Connections: USB-C can carry video and power; Mini HDMI cannot power the monitor
The K3 has two full-function USB-C ports, a Mini HDMI input and a 3.5 mm audio jack. Its USB-C video input uses DisplayPort Alt Mode. A compatible laptop, tablet, phone or handheld may therefore connect with one USB-C cable carrying video and power—but the host’s USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode. A USB-C connector by itself does not guarantee video output.

If a USB-C connection produces no picture, check that the host supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and that the cable supports video. The host may also be unable to provide enough power, in which case a separate USB-C power connection or the included adapter may help. The review does not provide a device-by-device compatibility list, so check the source device’s specifications rather than assuming compatibility.

Display quality: fine for text, weak for accurate color
In ServeTheHome’s testing, the reviewed K3 measured 67% sRGB coverage and approximately 3.83 dE average color accuracy. Grayscale results were more respectable, with grayscale-patch dE below 3, but that does not make the display suitable for color-critical work. The limited gamut particularly affected cyan, red and green reproduction.

“IPS” describes the panel technology, not a guarantee of full sRGB coverage or accurate color. Buyers should weigh the measured gamut more heavily than the comparatively good grayscale result if image fidelity matters.
Measured power draw
ServeTheHome measured the following power use at different brightness settings:

These measurements suggest modest power use, but they are not a battery-life guarantee. Actual drain depends on brightness, the cable and power arrangement, and the source device. A one-cable USB-C setup may draw power from the host; with HDMI, the monitor needs separate USB-C power.

How it compares with the MNN and Arzopa

The KYY was under $70 in ServeTheHome’s March 2026 review, compared with roughly $49 for the MNN and $109 for the Arzopa. These are historical reference prices, not live offers. The K3 and MNN were broadly comparable in color performance, so the KYY’s premium is difficult to defend unless its detachable case or included adapter is valuable to you. The Arzopa offers a more performance-oriented feature set, but it costs more and is not a like-for-like budget replacement.
Buying advice
- Consider the K3 if it is near or below the review’s sub-$70 reference, you mainly need a second screen for text and general work, and you value the detachable case or bundled adapter.
- Compare the MNN first if it is substantially cheaper and its more secure case attachment suits you.
- Look at a higher-refresh model such as the reviewed Arzopa if gaming smoothness or better color is worth a larger budget.
- Skip the K3 for color-sensitive work or if you expect an HDMI cable alone to power it.
Before buying, verify the live price, exact bundle and return terms with the seller, and confirm that your source device provides a compatible video output. The review does not establish current stock, seller reliability or listing terms.
