KTC’s CES 2025 presentation pointed beyond conventional monitors: the company showcased AI interactive glasses, OLED and curved gaming displays, and portable smart screens. The clearest takeaway is a shift toward a broader smart-display portfolio—not a set of fully documented retail launches. KTC’s public recaps do not establish final specifications, prices, or availability for every item it showed.
What KTC showcased at CES 2025
In its January 2025 CES recap, KTC said its booth brought together AI interactive glasses, OLED gaming monitors, and portable smart screens. It also described curved gaming monitors with high refresh rates, fast response, ergonomic designs, and what it called adaptive AI synchronization.
That is a company-reported overview, not a complete independent inventory of the booth. KTC did not publish a comprehensive CES product list with model numbers, specification sheets, launch dates, and retail prices. Its language establishes what it said it presented; it does not establish that every demonstration was a finished product available to buy.

AI glasses: AI and capture, but not necessarily augmented reality
KTC’s Chinese-language CES recap says the interactive glasses incorporated the Zhipu AI large model and offered image stabilization and livestreaming. Taken together, those features suggest a wearable aimed at AI-assisted use and hands-free content capture.

They do not, by themselves, show that the glasses projected images into the wearer’s field of view. The available description does not establish whether they had an optical display, or whether they functioned primarily as camera-and-audio glasses. Nor does it specify camera resolution, audio hardware, connectivity, privacy controls, prescription-lens support, battery runtime, or whether AI processing was local or cloud-based. The role of Zhipu AI may also depend on regional service availability.
For a buyer, those omissions matter more than the “AI” label. Practical value would depend on how well the glasses capture video, how long they last during livestreaming, what account or network access they require, how camera use is signaled, and whether the hardware can be serviced. KTC’s recap does not answer those questions or confirm a U.S. launch, price, or final retail model.
OLED and curved gaming monitors: promising categories, limited CES specifications
OLED is a meaningful gaming-display direction because each pixel controls its own light. That can produce deep blacks and strong contrast, while OLED pixels can change state quickly. These are general properties of OLED technology, not verified measurements for the monitors KTC showed at CES.
KTC highlighted OLED gaming monitors alongside curved, high-refresh displays. A high refresh rate can make motion look smoother and reduce the time between displayed frames, but the benefit depends on a compatible graphics card, connection, and game. Curvature can make a large or ultrawide screen feel more enveloping, though it is a matter of preference and may be less suitable for work that depends on straight-line geometry.

KTC’s phrase “adaptive AI synchronization” is not accompanied in the CES recap by a technical explanation. It should not be treated as proof of a new synchronization standard or assumed to work differently from established variable-refresh-rate approaches. Before buying any monitor marketed with this feature, look for the exact supported standards, input-specific refresh limits, and behavior across frame rates.
The recap does not provide the CES monitors’ panel sizes, resolutions, refresh rates, peak brightness, HDR certifications, panel generation, or burn-in warranty. Those details are essential to compare displays. OLED buyers should also check the warranty’s image-retention terms and any panel-care features; gamers considering curved displays should verify input bandwidth and variable-refresh behavior at the resolution and refresh rate they intend to use.
Portable smart screens: a larger-screen portability idea
A portable smart screen sits between a tablet, a conventional portable monitor, and a television. Its appeal is a larger viewing area that can be moved around a home or workplace, potentially without staying plugged into an outlet. KTC included portable smart screens in its CES presentation, but its CES recap does not specify their software platform, battery life, weight, display brightness, or supported inputs.
A later KTC report about its Global Sources 2025 display showcase described a portable-screen concept with a 24.5-inch ultra-HD panel, a high-capacity built-in battery, an adjustable all-in-one mount, a carrying handle, and processing hardware. That is useful evidence of KTC’s subsequent direction; it is not confirmation that those specifications belonged to a CES 2025 unit or that the screen was a shipping product.

Anyone evaluating such a device should confirm what “smart” means in practice: whether it runs a named operating system, supports the desired streaming apps, and handles their content-protection requirements. Also check actual battery runtime, weight, USB-C video support (not just charging), stand stability, speaker quality, and whether the battery can be replaced. A large screen with a handle may be movable without being comfortable to carry far.

KTC’s later 2025 announcements offer a clearer view of its wider display ambitions, but they should be kept separate from the CES showcase. In its COMPUTEX 2025 report, KTC listed the U3282SEL as a 4K OLED monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate, 98.5% DCI-P3 coverage, and a 0.03 ms GTG response claim. The same report described the U2720SUQ as a 4K Mini-LED display with 2,304 dimming zones, 160 Hz refresh, 90 W USB-C, HDMI 2.1, and KVM.
These are later company-published specifications, not evidence that either model was shown at CES or independently measured performance. They do illustrate the range KTC was pursuing: OLED and Mini-LED, gaming-oriented refresh rates, and connectivity features useful for switching between devices.

What was innovative—and what CES did not prove
The notable move was breadth. KTC, a company many monitor buyers encounter through gaming displays, used its CES messaging to connect monitors with wearable AI and mobile large-screen use. Pairing a portable-screen concept with a battery and movable stand could address situations that a desktop monitor or tablet does not. The glasses similarly represent a move into a wearable category where camera capture and AI assistance might complement display hardware.
But a broad product direction is not the same as a demonstrated technical breakthrough. The public CES material does not explain what the glasses’ AI does in specific tasks, how “adaptive AI synchronization” works, whether the screens were prototypes or production units, or when consumers could buy them. It also offers no independent testing of image quality, latency, battery life, reliability, or software support. CES presence alone is not evidence that KTC’s products outperform competing OLED, Mini-LED, wearable, or portable-display products.
How to use the CES news if you are shopping
- Gamers: Compare a shipping model’s resolution, refresh rate, response behavior, variable-refresh support, input limits, and warranty. Do not rely on “fast” or “AI sync” without a specification sheet and independent testing.
- Creative and Mac users: Prioritize text clarity, color coverage and accuracy, scaling, and USB-C power delivery. A gaming refresh-rate claim does not establish suitability for color-critical work.
- Portable-screen buyers: Confirm battery runtime, weight, software and app support, video inputs, and repair options before treating a screen as a practical tablet or TV replacement.
- AI-glasses early adopters: Wait for a retail specification sheet and support terms. Check account or subscription requirements, regional AI access, camera privacy controls, prescription options, battery serviceability, and software-update commitments.
KTC’s U.S. monitor collection is a place to check which conventional monitors it currently lists; listings and prices can change. A monitor available through a store is not necessarily one of the products shown at CES. The CES recap alone is not enough to recommend the glasses or portable screens for purchase.
