IHG One Rewards can have login, booking, or account-service problems, but the available evidence does not confirm a single outage affecting every user right now. IHG’s sign-in page has displayed “Our system is temporarily unavailable,” and third-party trackers have recorded intermittent user reports. Those reports do not establish the current scope or a restoration time. If you have a stay soon, verify it with IHG or the hotel rather than repeatedly submitting a booking.
Is IHG One Rewards down right now?
IHG problems can affect one function without taking down everything. The official IHG sign-in page has displayed “Our system is temporarily unavailable.” That confirms this is a possible IHG-side failure message, but an indexed page is not a live incident notice and does not prove that all services are down at this moment. Third-party outage reports have included intermittent complaints about the app, website, and login. Such reports can indicate a pattern, but cannot verify severity, cause, or geographic reach.
There is no confirmed universal outage or public restoration time established by that evidence. Check the specific function you need: hotel search, sign-in, points, reward-night availability, checkout, “My Stays,” or changes and cancellations. IHG’s customer-care page provides separate routes for reservations, account recovery, missing points, and other help.

- Open IHG’s official website in a private or incognito window.
- Try another browser, then switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data.
- Try the IHG One Rewards app if the website fails, or the website if the app fails.
- If possible, test a second device. Also check whether hotel search works even if you cannot sign in.

Fix the IHG website
- Make sure JavaScript is enabled for IHG. A “site requires Javascript” message may point to disabled scripts, a content blocker, privacy setting, or broken session—not necessarily a full outage.
- Temporarily pause script blockers or aggressive privacy extensions for the IHG site, then restore your protections after testing. Permit essential cookies.
- Clear IHG site data, close and reopen the browser, and sign in again. A private window or different browser is a useful quick comparison.
- Temporarily disconnect a VPN or proxy, or try a non-corporate network. Do not leave security protections disabled.
- Set your device date and time automatically; an incorrect clock can interfere with secure sessions.
“Your session has expired” may simply mean the sign-in session timed out. Start a fresh session. If you see an account lock, password-reset loop, or verification problem, use the official account recovery and customer-care options.

Fix the app
Use only the official Apple App Store or Google Play listing. IHG describes the app as a way to search and book hotels, manage reservations, and earn or redeem points; see its mobile support page.
On iPhone or iPad
- Force-close the app and reopen it, then restart the device if needed.
- Check the App Store for an update and confirm the device has available storage.
- Reinstall only if simpler steps fail and you know the email, password, and any verification details needed to sign in again.
On Android
- Force-close the app and reopen it; restart the device if necessary.
- Check Google Play for an update.
- Clear the app cache first. If you consider clearing app data or reinstalling, make sure you have your sign-in and verification details first.
An update or reinstall may help with a local app fault; neither can repair an IHG server-side problem. App requirements and releases can vary by country and device, so check the live store listing rather than relying on an old version number.

If a booking or payment seemed to fail
Do not immediately submit the same booking again. A checkout error, missing confirmation email, or pending card authorization does not by itself establish whether the reservation completed. Check your email (including spam), the app, the website’s “My Stays” area, and your payment account. Then:
- Note the hotel, dates, guest name, rate, and approximate time of the attempt.
- Look for a confirmation number and check whether the card shows a pending authorization. A pending authorization is not proof of a completed reservation.
- Contact IHG or the hotel and ask them to check whether a reservation exists before trying again.
- If you must make a second booking, ask the agent to verify the first attempt first. Keep screenshots of errors and payment activity.
The absence of an email is not conclusive proof that no reservation exists. Conversely, a card authorization alone is not confirmation of a room.

If points, status, or a reservation are missing
A blank or stale points balance may be a display problem, a posting delay, or a genuine crediting issue. Keep receipts, hotel folios, booking confirmations, and partner transaction records before opening a missing-points case through IHG customer care. Check that the reservation used the right loyalty number and an eligible booking channel.
Some partner points have their own processing windows. For example, IHG Dining & Earn support says dining points may take up to five days to appear in the dining account and one to two weeks in the broader IHG One Rewards account. Those timings apply to that dining program; they should not be assumed for every points transaction.

Booking search can fail for a particular date, hotel, rate restriction, or lack of reward inventory even while other IHG services work. An unavailable reward night is not proof that points or the entire system are broken.

For a stay in the next 24–48 hours, call IHG reservations or customer care and contact the hotel directly using contact details from its official page. Keep any existing confirmation number and ask the hotel to verify the booking by guest name and dates. Do not cancel just because a stay is absent from “My Stays”; first ask IHG or the hotel to confirm its status. Hotel staff’s ability to see or change a reservation can vary.

IHG’s sign-in page displays the U.S. reservations number 1-877-834-3613. Confirm the appropriate number and availability for your country through IHG’s official customer-care page; phone availability and charges may vary by location.
Watch for fake support
When a service is failing, scammers may pose as customer support. Start from IHG’s official website, customer-care page, hotel page, or verified app-store listing. Do not share your password, one-time code, or full card details in response to an unsolicited message. Avoid lookalike domains, unofficial APK downloads, remote-support tools, and browser extensions advertised as outage fixes.
