Only conditionally. The HONOR Magic6 Pro still has high-end hardware, especially its large LTPO display, 180MP periscope camera and 5,600mAh battery. But ₹89,999 was its Indian launch price in August 2024—not a confirmed current street price—and surfaced Indian listings show it out of stock. In 2026, buy only if you can verify a sealed India-market unit, valid HONOR India warranty and a useful return policy. At the full launch price, most buyers should compare newer flagships first.
The short answer
The Magic6 Pro is still fast and unusually well-equipped, but it is a two-year-old flagship. Its case rests on hardware that remains distinctive: a 6.8-inch 1–120Hz LTPO OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 180MP periscope telephoto camera, 5,600mAh battery, 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging. Those are meaningful advantages if you value a big screen, battery capacity and still-photo zoom.
The counterweight is ownership risk. HONOR’s current global security bulletin puts the Magic6 Pro on a quarterly security-update schedule. The phone is also difficult to find through surfaced Indian listings, so a ₹89,999 offer needs scrutiny: it could be old stock, an import, an open-box device or a seller-warranty listing rather than a straightforward current HONOR India retail purchase.
| Buyer priority | Verdict |
|---|---|
| Large, bright display and long battery life | Strong fit, if the unit and warranty check out |
| Travel, portrait and daylight zoom photos | Worth considering; do not buy on the 180MP figure alone |
| Latest software support and frequent patches | Look at a newer phone |
| Video-first camera, compact size or strong resale | Likely a poor fit |
| ₹89,999 listing with unclear seller or warranty | Skip it |
First, what does “₹89,999” actually mean?
₹89,999 was the reported Indian launch price on August 15, 2024, for the 12GB RAM/512GB storage configuration. It should not be presented as a verified 2026 market price. The surfaced HONOR-linked product listing shows that amount but is marked sold out, and 91mobiles reports no current online-store availability. Stock and listings can change, so check the live offer rather than assuming that an old price page means the phone is in stock.
#1 Best Overall
Before paying, establish whether the offer is for a new India-market handset with HONOR India warranty. An imported unit may have different firmware, band support, accessories and service eligibility. A seller’s warranty is not interchangeable with a manufacturer’s local warranty. If the seller cannot state the exact model number, region and warranty terms in writing, do not treat the price as a bargain.

What you still get for the money
A large, premium display
The 6.8-inch LTPO OLED has a 2,800 × 1,280 resolution and adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. HONOR advertises peak HDR brightness up to 5,000 nits and 4,320Hz PWM dimming. Peak brightness is a specified maximum, not a promise that the whole screen sustains that brightness in every situation, but the panel is one of the phone’s strongest reasons to buy: it is large, sharp and designed to stay smooth while adapting its refresh rate.
The shape is not for everyone. The display is curved, and the pill-shaped front cutout is prominent. Curved edges can mean more accidental touches and make screen protection trickier; repairs may also be costly. If you prefer a flat screen or a phone that is easy to use one-handed, try it in person before committing. HONOR’s India product page lists the display specifications.

Performance that remains high-end
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 was a flagship processor at launch and remains capable of demanding games, multitasking and camera processing. The reported Indian configuration pairs it with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. There is no good reason to call it slow simply because newer chips exist; the practical question is whether you want excellent performance now or the newer platform and longer remaining support that a current-generation phone may offer.
Newer flagships can have an advantage in sustained efficiency and support runway. The Magic6 Pro’s age matters more to its ownership value than to whether it can handle ordinary heavy use today.
A large battery and unusually fast wireless charging
Its 5,600mAh silicon-carbon battery is a substantial capacity, paired with advertised 80W wired and 66W wireless charging. The wireless figure is especially notable, but full speeds depend on compatible HONOR charging equipment and the conditions of the specific regional bundle. Check whether a charger is actually included with the unit; do not assume the phone will reach its headline wired or wireless speed with any adapter or pad.

The capacity makes the phone appealing to heavy users and travellers, but it does not guarantee a specific number of hours or days. Also consider that a device manufactured or stored for a long time may have a battery that has aged before you buy it. A proper return window matters for testing charging, battery behaviour and the rest of the handset.

Durability and face unlock
The phone is IP68-rated for dust and water resistance, and HONOR advertises NanoCrystal Shield protection and SGS drop-resistance certification. IP68 is not the same as waterproof: resistance can be affected by wear or damage, and liquid damage may not be covered by the applicable warranty. Check the Indian warranty terms rather than relying on the rating as an assurance of free repair.
It also has 3D depth-sensing face recognition, a more capable hardware-based face-unlock approach than basic camera-only face recognition. The large body and curved glass remain practical trade-offs, not problems a durability claim removes.
Camera: a versatile still-photo system, not a megapixel guarantee
The rear system combines a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation and a variable f/1.4–f/2.0 aperture, a 50MP ultrawide with a 122-degree field of view and macro capability, and a 180MP periscope telephoto camera with 2.5× optical zoom and OIS. HONOR lists up to 100× digital zoom. The front camera is 50MP with autofocus; HONOR advertises 4K recording.
- Main camera: OIS and a variable aperture give the primary camera useful hardware flexibility, particularly across changing light. They do not by themselves settle how natural skin tones, motion or difficult indoor scenes will look.
- Telephoto: The periscope camera is the differentiator for distant subjects, travel details and portraits. The 180MP figure is a sensor specification, not a guarantee that every image contains more useful detail. 2.5× is the stated optical zoom; 100× is digital zoom and should be treated as an extreme reach feature, not a promise of consistently clean photos.
- Ultrawide: The high-resolution, autofocus-equipped camera offers framing flexibility and macro use. As with any multi-camera phone, check how well colour and exposure match between lenses if you often switch cameras in one scene.
- Video and action: A camera buyer should look beyond still photos: check stabilisation, camera switching, available 4K frame rates, moving-subject consistency and shutter response. The supplied specifications do not establish that the Magic6 Pro is a best-in-class video phone.
HONOR has promoted five DXOMARK 2024 Gold Labels for the phone. That is an attributed award claim, not a universal ranking or a substitute for judging the photos and video you care about. Its strongest camera case is versatility—especially telephoto reach—not a megapixel number or a claim that it wins every camera category. See HONOR’s global specifications for the camera and zoom claims.

Software support is the biggest long-term caveat
The phone launched with MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14, including features HONOR called Magic Capsule and Magic Portal. A pre-release feature list does not confirm which features, language support or services will be available on a particular Indian unit today. After setup, check the Android version, MagicOS version and security-patch date on the exact handset.
More importantly, HONOR’s current global security bulletin lists the Magic6 Pro in its quarterly update group. That is the concrete cadence to weigh for this model, not a general promise that it “gets updates.” Android-version upgrades, MagicOS feature releases and security patches are different things, and rollout timing can vary by region.
HONOR has announced seven years of Android and security updates for its Magic series beginning with EU-market flagships in March 2025. That announcement does not establish a seven-year commitment for every region or for an India-market Magic6 Pro. If software longevity is a top priority, ask HONOR to confirm the entitlement for the exact model and region in writing; otherwise, favour a newer device with a clearly stated local support policy. Check the security bulletin and HONOR’s update-policy announcement.
Imported variants need extra checking. Confirm Google Play certification and the compatibility you depend on, including banking apps, Android Auto, NFC, eSIM if needed, 5G bands and dual-SIM behaviour. Also ask whether firmware region affects updates or features. Do not assume every advertised AI feature works in India, in your language or on every variant.

How it compares with newer phones at the same real price
There is no verified live price comparison here, and prices and stock change quickly; compare current India offers rather than relying on old launch prices. The relevant question is whether the Magic6 Pro’s particular strengths compensate for buying an older model.
- Newer Android flagship: likely to offer a newer processor and more remaining support. The Magic6 Pro may still appeal for its large battery, fast wireless charging and periscope hardware.
- Samsung Galaxy S Ultra: compare if software longevity, the S Pen, ecosystem and service reach matter most. The Magic6 Pro’s counterpoints include battery capacity and charging speeds on paper.
- iPhone Pro or Pro Max: worth comparing if video, resale value, app ecosystem or long-term platform support lead your priorities. The Magic6 Pro offers Android flexibility and its own charging and camera-hardware trade-offs.
- Vivo X-series Pro or Google Pixel Pro: compare the actual camera output and video you value, not just sensor counts. The Magic6 Pro’s possible draws include wireless charging, battery capacity and telephoto resolution.
- Discounted previous-generation flagship: this is the closest comparison. Choose the Magic6 Pro only if its condition, local warranty and effective price beat the newer alternatives you can actually buy.
These are comparison categories, not claims that a particular alternative is currently available for a particular price. Check the live price, warranty and support commitment for each shortlisted model before deciding.
Buying checklist: do this before payment
- Get the exact model number and confirm it is the India-market version you intend to buy.
- Verify HONOR India warranty eligibility directly with the seller and, where possible, HONOR. Do not confuse seller-only coverage with manufacturer warranty.
- Ask for a GST invoice and check that the listing is for a new, sealed 12GB/512GB unit—not open-box, refurbished or activated stock.
- Confirm IMEI and activation status through the appropriate seller or manufacturer channel, and keep the invoice and packaging.
- Check supported 5G bands, SIM configuration, firmware region and Google Play certification, especially for an imported handset.
- Confirm whether the correct charger and cable are included and whether the seller supports the required charging speeds.
- Read the return terms. A return window is valuable for checking battery behaviour, screen condition, cameras, network features and software.
- After setup, check Android and MagicOS versions, the security-patch date, banking apps, Android Auto and other services you rely on.
So, should you buy the Magic6 Pro for ₹89,999?
At the full ₹89,999 launch price, it is not an easy recommendation in 2026. Consider it if you specifically want its big LTPO display, long-capacity battery, fast wireless charging, high-end performance and versatile zoom photography—and the offer is for a new, sealed India-market unit with verifiable HONOR warranty and a meaningful return policy. A genuine discount against newer, locally supported alternatives makes the decision easier.
