The leak’s broad picture was close, but it blurred two phones and used a chip name that did not make it to launch. iQOO’s standard Z10 Turbo has a MediaTek Dimensity 8400 and a 7,620mAh typical-capacity battery. The Snapdragon model is the Z10 Turbo Pro, which launched in China with a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and a battery iQOO describes as equivalent to 7,000mAh.
What the leak claimed—and what launched
Pre-launch reporting described a Snapdragon-powered iQOO Z10 Turbo variant, sometimes using the name “Snapdragon 8s Elite,” alongside a battery of about 7,000mAh and gaming-focused features. That chip name was leak terminology, not the final commercial name. The phones iQOO announced in China on April 28, 2025, were the Z10 Turbo and Z10 Turbo Pro. The reported Snapdragon specification belongs to the Pro, while the standard Turbo uses MediaTek silicon. Gadgets 360’s pre-launch report captured the expectation; iQOO’s standard-model specifications and Pro product page show the final split.

The standard model’s processor is an eight-core Dimensity 8400 platform, with a listed maximum CPU frequency of 3.25GHz and a Mali-G720 GPU. The Pro pairs its Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with LPDDR5X Ultra memory, UFS 4.1 storage and iQOO’s Q1 gaming chip. iQOO’s official Pro page calls it a fourth-generation Snapdragon 8s; contemporary launch coverage gives the full Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 name.
Why the battery figures are not interchangeable
For the standard Z10 Turbo, iQOO publishes electrical capacity figures: 7,620mAh typical and 7,485mAh rated, with energy listed as 28.88Wh typical and 28.37Wh rated. It is a single-cell design and supports 90W charging, according to the official specification sheet.

For the Pro, iQOO promotes a battery “equivalent to 7,000mAh” and 120W charging. Treat that as the manufacturer’s equivalent-capacity claim, not as confirmation that it has a conventional cell with a 7,000mAh rated or typical capacity. The two figures describe different things, so the Pro’s advertised equivalent capacity should not be compared directly with the standard model’s rated and typical electrical capacities.
What the gaming features do—and do not—promise
Both phones are positioned for gaming, with a 144Hz display and Q1 chip. The Pro adds the Snapdragon platform, faster charging and LPDDR5X Ultra memory. iQOO advertises frame interpolation at up to 144fps in more than 100 games for the Pro, but support depends on the title and the company’s implementation. A 144Hz panel does not mean every game renders at 144 frames per second.

Frame interpolation can make motion appear smoother, but it is not the same as a game natively rendering every frame at the advertised rate. Likewise, the claimed 7,000mm² vapor chamber is a cooling-area specification, not an independent measure of sustained performance. Actual frame rates, temperatures and battery life depend on the game, settings, ambient conditions and software; vendor feature claims should not be read as independent test results.

It launched with OriginOS 5 based on Android 15. Its official sheet lists Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 6.0, while noting that some Bluetooth functionality depends on later over-the-air updates. The page also cites IP65 testing but warns that this is not a professional waterproof device and that water resistance can decline with wear.

China pricing and availability
These are China-market phones. The Z10 Turbo Pro’s reported launch prices on April 28, 2025, were ¥1,999 for 12GB/256GB, ¥2,199 for 16GB/256GB, ¥2,399 for 12GB/512GB and ¥2,599 for 16GB/512GB, according to IT之家’s launch report. Those are historical China launch prices, not current worldwide retail prices.
The official Z10 Turbo specification page lists recommended China prices of ¥2,699 (12GB/256GB), ¥3,099 (16GB/256GB), ¥3,199 (12GB/512GB) and ¥3,599 (16GB/512GB). These figures are also market- and date-specific; they should not be treated as US prices or directly converted into a landed import cost.

The available sources establish China launch information, not an official US launch, US price or US warranty channel. If considering an imported unit, verify carrier bands and VoLTE/Wi-Fi calling support, Google services and banking-app behavior, OTA updates, language and preinstalled apps, charger compatibility, warranty and returns, and the exact memory/storage configuration. Those are checks to make before buying, not defects established for every imported phone.
Which one makes more sense?
- Consider the standard Z10 Turbo if the published battery capacity is your priority, you want the Dimensity 8400, and 90W charging is enough. It has the larger explicitly stated typical-capacity figure.
- Consider the Z10 Turbo Pro if you specifically want the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, the Pro’s gaming features or 120W charging. Its battery claim is expressed as an equivalent capacity, so do not assume it matches the standard model’s 7,620mAh figure.
- Look for an officially supported regional phone instead if local warranty, carrier certification, localized software or dependable Google-service support matters more than this China-market combination of battery, display and price.
At launch, iQOO’s series offered a straightforward distinction: the standard Turbo emphasized a very large specified battery, while the Pro brought Snapdragon branding and faster charging. The leak was directionally close about a gaming-oriented phone and a large battery, but it assigned the Snapdragon chip to the wrong model and used a name that was not the launched product name.
