Intel Arc driver versions 32.0.101.6458 and 32.0.101.6257 are official WHQL releases from January 16, 2025. They are now historical drivers, not the latest Intel Arc downloads. Intel’s official release notes remain available, but Intel has removed selected Arc packages older than 32.0.101.6987 from its Download Center. Most users should install the current Intel WHQL driver or their laptop and desktop manufacturer’s validated package instead.

Download status: what is still available
The original 32.0.101.6458/32.0.101.6257 installer may no longer be listed in Intel’s normal Download Center. Intel’s April 2026 availability notice says selected Arc drivers older than 32.0.101.6987 were removed, which includes both versions covered here.
The official release-notes PDF is still the best primary source for confirming the release date, supported products, fixes, known issues, and Intel’s installation notes. It does not necessarily mean that Intel still provides the original executable.

- Search for the exact paired release numbers:
32.0.101.6458and32.0.101.6257. - If Intel no longer lists the installer, check the computer manufacturer’s official support archive.
- Use the current Intel Arc driver unless an older version is specifically required.
Do not treat an unverified third-party driver mirror as an Intel download. If you cannot establish the file’s provenance and authenticity, do not install it.
What do 32.0.101.6458 and 32.0.101.6257 mean?
Intel lists these numbers together as one January 2025 WHQL release:
32.0.101.6458 WHQL32.0.101.6257 WHQL
They identify different hardware branches within the release rather than being two unrelated graphics-driver products. The release was particularly associated with Intel Arc B-Series launch hardware and Intel Core Ultra Series 2 mobile processors, code-named Arrow Lake-H. Depending on the graphics device detected in a system, Windows or the Intel package may show one version number rather than the other.

Verify the exact adapter name and use the package intended for that device. In Windows, open Settings → System → Display → Advanced display, or open Device Manager → Display adapters. After installation, the installed version is shown under Device Manager → Display adapters → Intel graphics → Properties → Driver.

Release date and supported hardware
Both versions were released on January 16, 2025 and were certified as WHQL. WHQL certification indicates Microsoft certification; it is not a promise that every game, application, or system configuration will be problem-free.
The release notes—not a search-result snippet—should be treated as the authoritative product list. Broadly, this driver family covers supported Intel Arc graphics, including Arc A-Series and B-Series products, and selected Intel Core processor graphics and Core Ultra processors with integrated Arc graphics. That does not mean every Intel integrated GPU is supported.
Pay particular attention to the difference between:
- Discrete desktop Arc: such as an Arc A-Series or B-Series graphics card.
- Integrated Arc: graphics built into certain Intel Core Ultra processors, including supported Arrow Lake-H systems.
- OEM laptop graphics: hardware that may require a manufacturer-customized package even when the generic Intel driver recognizes it.
For a laptop or prebuilt desktop, check Dell, HP, Lenovo, ASUS, Acer, MSI, or the relevant manufacturer before replacing its graphics package. Intel warns that its generic driver can overwrite an OEM driver and may not preserve platform-specific display switching, power management, brightness, sleep, firmware, or manufacturer utility behavior. What this release added
Intel described 32.0.101.6458/6257 as a launch driver for the Intel Arc B570 and for Intel Core Ultra Series 2 mobile processors using Arrow Lake-H integrated graphics.
Intel also reported gaming improvements on Core Ultra Series 2 systems compared with driver 31.0.101.6449. Its release notes claim up to a 6.8% average FPS increase in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at 1080p with Basic settings. That is Intel’s vendor test result, not an independent benchmark or a guarantee for every system.
Fixes and known issues
The release notes list fixes affecting supported Arc B-Series products, including:

A fixed issue is not a guarantee that every related problem is resolved. A known issue may depend on a particular GPU, graphics API, application version, or feature. Game and software updates can also change the result.

Should you install these drivers today?

| New Arc B-Series graphics card | Use the current driver rather than this January 2025 release. |
| Arrow Lake-H laptop | Use the OEM package first, or the current Intel package if appropriate. |
| A specific game or application worked on 6458/6257 | Try the historical release only if you obtain it from a trustworthy Intel or OEM source. |
| A newer driver introduced a repeatable regression | Roll back to a known-good version and test systematically. |
| Corporate or managed computer | Use the package approved by the OEM or IT department. |
For most readers, the safest starting point is Intel’s current Arc Windows page or Intel Driver & Support Assistant. The assistant is useful when you do not know the exact Intel graphics model, but it is not the right tool for intentionally pinning an old driver on an OEM or managed system.
How to install an Intel Arc driver
- Identify the graphics adapter in Device Manager → Display adapters and confirm the model in the release notes or Intel product listing.
- For an OEM laptop or prebuilt desktop, check the manufacturer’s support page first.
- Create a restore point or record the current driver version.
- Close games, browsers using hardware acceleration, video editors, monitoring tools, and other graphics applications.
- Run the Intel installer as administrator and follow its prompts. Use the normal installation unless troubleshooting requires a clean-install option offered by that package.
- Restart Windows.
- Confirm the result under Device Manager → Display adapters → Intel graphics → Properties → Driver.
The installer controls can vary between driver generations, so do not assume that screenshots from a different package use identical labels.

“The driver is incompatible”
Common causes include an incorrect product family, an unsupported Windows build, OEM restrictions, a missing device ID, an Arc Pro package being used for consumer Arc hardware, or an older Intel graphics device outside the supported generation.

- Check the system manufacturer’s support page.
- Try Intel Driver & Support Assistant for product identification.
- Do not force-install a mismatched INF unless you understand the recovery risks and have a working rollback plan.
Black screen, crashes, corruption, or lost laptop features
If the new driver causes problems, try Device Manager → Display adapters → Properties → Driver → Roll Back Driver when that button is available. If it is unavailable, uninstall through Windows Apps or use the Intel installer’s cleanup option if the package provides one.

For severe corruption, a reputable display-driver cleanup workflow may be necessary, but third-party cleanup utilities are not official Intel tools. Temporarily disconnecting from the internet during cleanup can prevent Windows Update from immediately replacing the driver; this is a troubleshooting measure, not a universal requirement. Reinstall the OEM package if brightness controls, display switching, sleep, power profiles, or manufacturer utilities stop working.
Windows Update replaces the driver
Windows Update may recommend or install a different graphics version. Follow Intel’s current driver guidance for that situation rather than relying on permanent blocking methods that may become outdated. The relevant guidance is linked from Intel’s Arc download page.
Performance becomes worse
- Restart the computer and confirm the actual installed version.
- Verify that the game is using the Arc GPU rather than an integrated fallback.
- Compare identical settings, resolution, graphics API, and game version.
- Review Intel’s known-issues list and the application vendor’s own patches.
- Reset a game shader cache only when supported by that game’s documentation.
- Roll back if the regression is repeatable.
- When reporting the issue, include the GPU, Windows build, driver version, application version, settings, and reproduction steps.
Operating-system and Intel Graphics Software notes
Do not automatically apply the current download page’s operating-system table to the January 2025 package. Use the historical release notes for the exact 6458/6257 requirements. Intel’s current Arc page lists Windows 10 64-bit 22H2 and supported Windows 11 releases, including 21H2, 22H2, 23H2, 24H2, and 25H2, but those current requirements may differ from the older package’s table.

Its stated basic requirements include an Intel 11th Gen or newer processor or an Intel Arc dedicated GPU, plus Windows 10 version 2004 or later or Windows 11 version 21H2 or later. A 6458/6257 installation may therefore install Intel Graphics Software on a qualifying system, but its appearance is not guaranteed on every supported configuration.
