The Intel Arc B570 is a real Battlemage desktop graphics card that can make sense for budget 1080p gaming and carefully configured 1440p—but only if it costs meaningfully less than the Arc B580. The B570 has 10GB of VRAM and fewer GPU resources than its 12GB sibling, while the two launched just $30 apart. There is no verified current street price here, so compare actual delivered prices for the exact cards before deciding.

Total board power 150W 190W
US launch starting price $219 $249

The B570 is more than a lower-clocked B580. It has fewer cores and processing units, a narrower memory bus, less bandwidth and 2GB less VRAM. At launch, the B580 cost $30 more—about 14%—for a substantially larger memory and compute configuration. That makes today’s price gap more useful than either card’s old launch price: if the B580 costs only a little more, it is generally the better-equipped choice and offers more headroom for demanding games.

In one 1440p Final Fantasy XIV test, GamersNexus measured about 75 FPS on the B570 and 86 FPS on the B580, a roughly 16% difference. That is one result in one game, not a promise of the same gap everywhere. The same review found B570 results that beat an RTX 4060 and RX 7600 in parts of its test suite, illustrating how rankings change with the game and test conditions. See the full review and benchmark context.

Gaming performance: capable, but workload-dependent

Launch testing put the B570 in a competitive budget-GPU range: it could outperform established alternatives in selected workloads, but no single result justifies calling it universally faster than an RTX 4060 or Radeon RX 7600. Game engine, graphics API, driver, CPU and settings all matter. The B570 is most attractive when the games you actually play perform well on Arc.

1080p

1080p is the straightforward target for the B570. Many games can run at high settings, but demanding releases may call for reduced settings or upscaling. At this resolution, a slow or older CPU can also constrain frame rates, particularly in CPU-heavy games, so graphics-card comparisons from a powerful test system may not translate directly to an older PC.

1440p

The card can handle 1440p, but “1440p capable” does not mean every new game will run at native resolution, high settings and a smooth frame rate. Expect to adjust settings in demanding titles; high-resolution textures and heavy ray tracing are especially likely to increase pressure on its 10GB memory. Intel announced XeSS 2 support for Arc B-Series cards, but upscaling and related features only help where the game supports them. Compare native-rendering results separately from XeSS results when evaluating benchmarks.

Ray tracing and older games

The B570 has 18 ray-tracing units, but their count alone cannot predict ray-tracing performance. The game, rendering implementation, driver and available upscaling options affect the result. Heavy ray tracing may require lower settings or upscaling for comfortable play. Performance in older DirectX 11 titles can also differ from performance in newer DirectX 12 or Vulkan games; check current reports for the specific games you care about rather than assuming either that every issue is fixed or that launch-era complaints describe the present driver.

Is 10GB of VRAM enough?

For 1080p gaming, 10GB is generally a workable capacity. It can also be enough for 1440p, especially with texture quality kept below maximum and ray tracing used selectively. It is not automatically obsolete, but it leaves less room than the B580’s 12GB for demanding textures, mods and future games.

Capacity is different from bandwidth: the B570 has 10GB available to store data and approximately 380GB/s of memory bandwidth to move it. Resolution, texture settings, ray tracing, mods and background applications all affect memory use. When a game pushes beyond the effective memory budget, the result may be stutter, texture-streaming issues or weak 1% lows—not just a lower average frame rate. If you specifically want long-term 1440p headroom, the B580 is the safer of these two on capacity alone.

Drivers and game compatibility in 2026

Intel’s B570 download page lists driver 32.0.101.8974 WHQL, dated August 14, 2026, for Windows 10 22H2 and Windows 11. That confirms active driver support; it does not establish that every game or application performs equally well. Intel’s B570 support page continues to provide troubleshooting material covering issues such as crashes, visual corruption, frame pacing and display configuration. Such documentation shows that support activity continues, not that the card is uniquely unreliable.

Before buying for a particular game or professional application, check recent release notes and reports for that workload. Keep the driver current, but do not assume that a new driver guarantees a fix. If you use Linux, assess Linux driver and application support separately: Windows control-panel features are not a proxy for Linux functionality.

Compatibility: check Resizable BAR before you buy

Intel says Resizable BAR should be enabled for optimal performance with Arc B-Series graphics. A card may produce a display without it, but that does not mean it will perform as intended. Intel’s Resizable BAR setup guidance calls for UEFI boot, disabled CSM or legacy boot, Above 4G Decoding enabled and Re-Size BAR enabled.

  1. Update your motherboard BIOS/UEFI if an appropriate update is available.
  2. In firmware setup, use UEFI boot mode and disable CSM or Legacy Boot.
  3. Enable Above 4G Decoding.
  4. Enable Re-Size BAR. Depending on the vendor, it may be called Smart Access Memory or Clever Access Memory.
  5. Install Intel’s current graphics driver and verify the setting in Intel’s graphics software or with Intel Driver & Support Assistant.

Menu names and availability vary by motherboard, firmware and OEM system. Some older PCs or prebuilt systems may not expose the necessary settings. The B570 also uses PCIe 4.0 x8: older PCIe platforms provide less interface bandwidth, but the performance effect depends on the workload and should not be assumed to be identical in every game. If your platform cannot enable ReBAR, or its firmware is locked down, the B570 is a riskier purchase.

Power, cooling and choosing a card model

Intel specifies 150W TBP for the B570 GPU, but that does not make every partner card identical. Check the exact model’s recommended PSU, required power connector, length, slot thickness, cooling, display outputs, warranty and return policy. Factory-overclocked models may cost more or use different coolers and power configurations. The $219 launch figure was a starting price, not a guarantee that each partner model would sell at that price.

Intel’s launch announcement named Acer, ASRock, GUNNIR, ONIX, MAXSUN and Sparkle as B-Series add-in-board partners. Warranty coverage is determined by the card maker and sales region, so confirm who handles a return or repair and whether the seller is authorized before ordering.

Streaming, video and AI workloads

The B570 can be more useful than a gaming frame-rate chart suggests if your software takes advantage of its media hardware. Intel’s B-Series reference guide lists hardware encode/decode support for AV1, HEVC and AVC. This can benefit compatible streaming and video workflows, but the application must expose and support the relevant codec and settings; a hardware feature list is not a guarantee about every editor or streaming tool.

The 144 XMX engines and listed peak 203 INT8 TOPS may also matter for supported AI tasks. Actual results depend on software, operating system, framework, drivers and model. Ten gigabytes of VRAM can restrict local model size or image-generation settings. Treat compatibility and performance in your own AI application as something to verify, not as an automatic benefit implied by a TOPS figure.

Who should buy the Arc B570?

  • Consider it if it is substantially cheaper than the B580, your main games run well on Intel, you target 1080p or adjustable 1440p, and your system supports ReBAR.
  • Prefer the B580 if the price gap is small or you value the extra 2GB of VRAM, bandwidth and GPU resources for demanding games and a longer upgrade interval.
  • Look elsewhere or verify first if you cannot enable ReBAR, rely on older titles or a specific professional app, need more than 10GB of VRAM, or want heavy 1440p ray tracing without upscaling.

Also compare any similarly priced card with more VRAM or better support for your software. Radeon RX 7600-class and GeForce RTX 4060-class cards were relevant launch-era competitors, but their current prices and the availability of newer or discounted alternatives are not established here. Compare today’s total delivered price, warranty, power needs and performance in your own workloads rather than relying on old MSRP comparisons.
