What does the 108MP camera actually do?
Full resolution is a shooting mode, not the default promise
The 108MP specification refers to the main sensor’s maximum resolution. Huawei says actual photo resolution depends on the selected shooting mode and that full-resolution images require High-Res mode. Its product material also describes 9-pixel binning, a technique that combines data from neighboring pixels and normally produces a lower-resolution image. The practical trade-off is between a very large image with more scope for cropping and a binned image intended to gather light more effectively; neither mode guarantees a better result in every scene.
In good light, a steady phone and subject can let High-Res mode record fine texture and preserve room to crop. It is most useful when detail matters and there is enough light. For routine snapshots, movement, dim scenes or quick sharing, megapixels alone cannot predict sharpness: lighting, focus, lens performance, processing and camera movement all matter. - Huawei lists rear video recording up to 1920 × 1080, so the published specification does not support a 4K-video claim.
- The front camera is 8MP. A high megapixel count on the rear camera does not describe selfie detail or video quality.
- Huawei lists Portrait, Night, High-Res, Panorama, Aperture, Pro, Video, Time-Lapse, Audio Control, Smile, Timer and Watermark modes. A mode’s presence does not establish how well it performs.
The available specifications do not establish sensor size, optical image stabilization, detailed autofocus behavior, file sizes or independently tested night performance. Treat claims about those qualities as unverified rather than inferring them from “108MP.”
Display and design
The 6.7-inch FHD+ LCD gives video, reading and social apps a generous canvas, but its size may make one-handed use less comfortable. It is an LCD, not an OLED panel; the specification alone does not establish how its contrast or color compares with a particular rival. Huawei lists an adaptive 30/60/90Hz refresh rate, so 90Hz is the maximum rather than a fixed rate in every situation. The cited regional specifications give the phone dimensions of 163.3 × 74.7 × 8.4mm and an approximate weight of 199g. Huawei promotes a narrow-bezel design and shows Blue and White finishes on its regional product material.

Performance and gaming expectations
The Snapdragon 680 is a 4G chipset suited to messaging, browsing, social apps, streaming and light multitasking. It is not evidence of flagship performance, and the available sources do not provide benchmarks or game-specific frame rates. Casual games are a more reasonable expectation than consistently smooth play in demanding 3D titles at high settings. Buyers who prioritize gaming or want a newer performance platform should compare current alternatives at the same local price.
Battery and charging
Huawei specifies a 5000mAh battery and 40W Huawei SuperCharge. Capacity does not translate into a guaranteed runtime: screen brightness and refresh rate, mobile signal, gaming, streaming and camera use all affect endurance. The cited official specification does not establish wireless charging. Before buying, confirm that the regional retail box includes a compatible charging adapter; bundles can differ by market and seller.

Software, apps and regional hardware checks
Huawei lists EMUI 14.2 for the cited variant. That specification does not, by itself, establish whether Google Mobile Services are included, which app store ships on a particular regional model, or whether an individual banking app will work. Nor does it state a guaranteed number of future software upgrades. Confirm those points for the exact country and model before purchase, especially if a particular app or service is essential.
Connectivity and other practical features also need market-level confirmation. A Malaysian retailer listing reports dual SIM, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C and a side-mounted fingerprint reader, but those details should not be assumed for every regional variant.
