JustWatch reported no free-streaming option for the 2010 film in its U.S. check, while Tubi displayed a free live-TV listing. Those results are not necessarily contradictory: one may describe current on-demand availability while the other describes a scheduled channel presentation. Streaming catalogs can change quickly.

Rent for the most predictable one-time viewing
If the movie is unavailable on Tubi or Netflix, a digital rental is usually the simplest legal fallback. Sony’s official page links to major digital retailers. A U.S. JustWatch listing checked August 2, 2026 showed rental pricing around $7.99 and purchase pricing up to approximately $14.99, but prices can change by retailer, format, taxes and promotions.
Buy a digital or physical copy for longer-term access
A digital purchase keeps the film in a retailer-linked library, while Blu-ray or DVD avoids dependence on a particular streaming catalog. Digital “ownership” remains subject to the retailer’s account and licensing terms, and physical media requires storage and compatible hardware.

Is Karate Kid: Legends free too?
Not according to the U.S. availability information checked for this article. Sony lists Legends on digital and physical formats, including Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango, DirecTV, Xfinity and Sony Pictures Core. That status can change, so verify the title directly on the service. A subscription listing also should not be confused with free access.
