Copy this exact sequence: Õ° Õú ñ Õ°. It is a string of separate Unicode characters—not one standard symbol or a verified, universally recognized piece of keyboard art. The space between ú and ñ is a non-breaking space, which looks like an ordinary space but has a different code point.
What each character is
Unicode assigns a code point to each character. In this sequence, the letters are accented Latin characters, the small circle is a degree sign, and the spaces are not all the same:

The full sequence is Õ + ° + ordinary space + Õ + ú + non-breaking space + ñ + ordinary space + Õ + °. The Unicode chart lists these characters in its Latin-1 Supplement chart.

Is it keyboard art, a phrase, or corrupted text?
There is no verified standard meaning, established phrase, or universal keyboard-art name for the exact sequence. It could be decorative text, a stylized username, characters copied from an image, or text affected by a font, rendering, or encoding problem. The visible characters are valid Unicode; that alone does not establish that they were intended.

Mojibake is text that appears as the wrong characters because its original bytes were decoded with the wrong character encoding. Do not assume this sequence is mojibake—or try to translate it into a phrase—without the original source and context. If it came from a broken webpage or document, the original bytes, encoding, or surrounding text may be needed to determine what the author meant.
Type it on Windows
Fastest: copy and paste
For the exact version, copy this line rather than rebuilding it: Õ° Õú ñ Õ°. Copying is quick, but it also preserves the non-breaking space. If a form, search, or program expects an ordinary space, use the alternative shown below.
Use Character Map
- Open Start or Windows Search and type Character Map.
- Open the app and choose a font that contains the characters.
- Find and select
Õ,°,ú, andñ, then use the app’s copy control and paste them where needed. - Insert the spaces separately. Use a non-breaking space between
úandñonly if you need an exact match to the supplied sequence.
Character Map is a useful visual fallback when a key is unavailable; Microsoft’s Windows text and keyboard tools guidance describes it as a way to view and copy characters.

Use Alt codes with a numeric keypad
On a conventional Windows keyboard, turn on Num Lock, hold Alt, and enter the code on the numeric keypad—not the number row above the letters:

Alt-code behavior depends on Windows input and the application. Laptop keyboards may require an embedded keypad or a Num Lock function, and the number-row keys generally do not substitute for a numeric keypad. Microsoft documents the keypad requirement and the degree-sign shortcut in its Windows keyboard tips. For a one-off character, Character Map or copy and paste is often less troublesome.
In compatible Microsoft Office apps: Unicode then Alt+X
In Word, enter the hexadecimal code and press Alt+X to convert it:

Build the full sequence by converting each code, inserting ordinary spaces where shown, and using U+00A0 for the space between ú and ñ. This conversion is an Office input method, not a universal Windows shortcut. See Microsoft’s instructions for inserting ASCII and Unicode characters in Office.

In a text field, press Windows key + . (period), open the Symbols section, and browse or search. It can help with individual symbols such as the degree sign, but assembling this full string may be slower than pasting it. Available symbols and layout can vary.
Type it on a Mac
Use the accent menu for the letters
Press and hold O, U, or N to show available accented variants, then select Õ, ú, or ñ. Apple notes that the accent menu can be selected with the mouse or keyboard, though behavior can vary by app. See Apple’s guide to entering accented characters.

Use Character Viewer for the degree sign or exact characters
- Place the insertion point where the character should go.
- Press Control–Command–Space to open Character Viewer.
- Search for “degree sign,” “O with tilde,” “u with acute,” or “n with tilde.”
- Double-click a result to insert it. Add the spaces as needed; use a no-break space for exact reproduction.
Character Viewer is useful when a character is not obvious on the active keyboard. Apple’s Pages guide to accents and special characters explains character selection and search.
If you want to inspect shortcuts for your selected layout, enable Show Input menu in menu bar in Keyboard settings, open the Input menu, and choose Show Keyboard Viewer. The available keys depend on the active input source; Apple’s Keyboard Viewer guide explains how to inspect alternate characters.

On iPhone or iPad, press and hold O, U, or N and choose the accented form if it appears on the active keyboard. On Android, press and hold the relevant letter; exact choices depend on the keyboard app, language, and device. For °, switch to the numbers or symbols view and look for the degree sign. Its location varies, so copy and paste is the most dependable method for reproducing the whole sequence exactly.

Ordinary space or non-breaking space?
The two forms look almost identical:
Ordinary space (U+0020): Õ° Õú ñ Õ°
Non-breaking space between ú and ñ (U+00A0): Õ° Õú ñ Õ°
A non-breaking space generally prevents the text on either side from wrapping onto separate lines. The distinction can also matter when software compares strings, validates form input, or stores and searches text. If a pasted string fails to match, check whether the space is U+0020 or U+00A0; in code or data work, inspect the code points rather than trusting the appearance.
Troubleshooting
- You see a box or blank space instead of a character: The font may lack the glyph, or the app may have limited character support. Try a font with broader Latin-character coverage or insert the character in a different text editor. Microsoft notes that font choice affects symbol display in its Word symbol guidance.
- You get the wrong character or accent: Check the active keyboard input source and app. A physical key layout and selected layout can differ; use Character Map, Character Viewer, or paste the character.
- An Alt code does nothing: Confirm that you are using a numeric keypad and Num Lock, and remember that behavior varies by app and keyboard. Use Character Map as a fallback.
- Alt+X does not work: It is intended for compatible Office apps, not every Windows text field. Use Character Map or copy and paste outside Office.
- The sequence looks right but does not compare equal: Check for U+00A0 versus U+0020. Also note that accented text can sometimes be represented as a precomposed character or as a base letter plus a combining mark; the two may look the same but compare differently in some software.
- A webpage shows unrelated characters: This may be an encoding mismatch, but a font or rendering problem is also possible. Reopen the original with the appropriate encoding if known, and retain the source context before attempting to interpret it.
For exact reproduction, keep the original sequence intact. For troubleshooting, paste it into a plain-text editor and inspect the individual code points and spaces.
