Udio currently disables audio, video, and stem downloads during its transition period, so use it for composing and refining when you do not need an immediate downloadable file. Suno’s Free Plan does not include commercial rights or stem separation, while Eleven Music’s free plan is for personal use and browse-only Marketplace access. Check each vendor’s current terms before publishing.
Step 1: Turn A Brief Into A Cloud Prompt
Write one prompt that describes musical decisions rather than a vague request for “good music.” For a phone-made background track, try: “45-second instrumental for a budget travel vlog, relaxed electronic beat, warm electric piano, light bass, no vocals, clear intro and gentle ending.” For a vocal demo, try: “Indie pop song about taking the last bus home, intimate lead vocal, two verses, pre-chorus, memorable chorus, mid-tempo drums, bright guitar.”
- State whether you need vocals, an instrumental, or both.
- Name the main instruments and the energy level.
- Describe sections such as intro, verse, chorus, bridge, and ending.
- Give a duration only when the tool exposes duration or track-length controls; otherwise ask for a concise arrangement and inspect the result.
- Use your own lyrics when you need particular words or a specific story.

Eleven Music
Use Eleven Music when you want producer-style control. Start with a vocal, lyric, or instrumental request, then use section editing, inpainting, genre transitions, or an audio reference. For a quick phone idea, open Beatbot, enter a prompt or lyrics, set genre, mood, and tempo, and regenerate until the vocal, beat, or instrumental fits. Step 4: Shape The Arrangement And Stems
- Keep the version with the clearest hook and the fewest unwanted sounds.
- Use Suno’s section replacement or extensions, Eleven Music’s inpainting, Udio’s transformation tools, or SongIntent’s line-level revisions for targeted changes.
- For an instrumental, open Soundverse AI Beat Maker and request drums, basslines, melodies, and an arrangement. Export a WAV mix, separated stems, or MIDI for later edits in a compatible music app.
- Use Loudly to remix uploaded audio, export separated stems, apply mastering and effects, or prepare distribution. Free generated tracks are limited to 30 seconds; paid licensing rights depend on the plan.
- Name each cloud export with the date, version, tempo, and key so a phone download folder remains understandable.
Step 5: Check The File Before Sharing
- Play the start, chorus, and ending on phone speakers and headphones.
- Confirm that the downloaded format meets the destination’s requirements. Boppy lists MP3 downloads; Soundverse AI Beat Maker lists WAV mixes, stems, and MIDI; Eleven Music lists MP3/WAV and stems.
- Check that the vocal says the intended words and that no uploaded reference contains someone else’s protected performance.
- Save the prompt, lyrics, source recordings, and plan name with the exported file.
Rights And Consent For Cloud Music
Obtain consent before cloning or transforming a person’s voice, uploading a performance, or using a cover or sample. Follow the platform’s current license for commercial use: Suno Free excludes commercial rights; Eleven Music’s commercial rights vary by plan; Loudly’s paid licensing depends on plan terms; Beatbot publishing depends on in-app licensing; and Geyune, if you use it for Chinese or English songs, requires careful review of its commercial-use terms. Udio’s current download restriction also affects how you can deliver a finished file.
The U.S. Copyright Office says a work generated entirely by AI is not copyrightable, prompts alone do not make someone the author, and only human-authored parts of a mixed work can be protected. If a registration includes more than a minimal amount of AI-generated material, applicants must disclose it and describe the human contribution. Read the U.S. Copyright Office AI report for the applicable explanation.
