The official Microsoft Store listing for Sysinternals Suite is Microsoft’s Sysinternals Suite, product ID 9P7KNL5RWT25. Open the Microsoft Store, search for Sysinternals Suite, verify that the publisher is Microsoft Corporation, and select Get or Install. If the Store is unavailable, install it with WinGet using winget install --id Microsoft.Sysinternals.Suite -e, or download the official ZIP archive.
What is Sysinternals Suite?
Sysinternals Suite is Microsoft’s bundled collection of Windows troubleshooting, diagnostic, administration, monitoring, and security utilities. It is a selected bundle, not every Sysinternals program.
Commonly used tools include:
- Process Explorer: detailed process, handle, DLL, and system-activity inspection.
- Process Monitor: real-time file-system, Registry, process, and network tracing.
- Autoruns: analysis of programs configured to start automatically.
- TCPView: visibility into TCP and UDP connections.
- RAMMap: analysis of physical-memory usage.
- Sysmon: event-based system activity monitoring.
- ProcDump: process dump and crash-data collection.
- ZoomIt: screen zooming, annotation, and presentation tools.

- Open Microsoft Store in Windows.
- Search for
Sysinternals Suite. - Select the result published by Microsoft Corporation.
- Choose Get, Install, or the equivalent current Store button.
- After installation, open the Start menu and search for a utility such as Process Explorer, Process Monitor, Autoruns, or ZoomIt.
You can also open the direct Microsoft Store listing using product ID 9P7KNL5RWT25. Always verify the publisher before installing; similarly named third-party pages and unofficial mirrors are not equivalent to Microsoft’s package.

Install it with WinGet
WinGet is usually the fastest option for power users, scripts, and repeatable workstation setup. First check how the package appears in the catalog:
winget search Sysinternals
winget show --id Microsoft.Sysinternals.Suite -eThen install it with an exact package ID:
winget install --id Microsoft.Sysinternals.Suite -eThe --id option selects the package ID and -e requests an exact match. This is preferable to relying only on the older, less specific command winget install sysinternals.

winget install --id Microsoft.Sysinternals.Suite -e --source msstoreSource availability depends on the WinGet client, configured catalogs, Windows configuration, and organizational policy. Microsoft documents the current WinGet syntax and options on its WinGet installation page.
What happens after installation?
The Store edition is delivered as an MSIX package. It does not necessarily create a conventional folder such as C:Sysinternals containing browsable executables.
For normal use, launch utilities from Start-menu search. Windows may also expose commands through app execution aliases. Do not manually alter protected MSIX package directories. If you need a directly addressable executable path for scripts or administration tools, the ZIP edition is generally more predictable.
Some utilities inspect processes, handles, drivers, Registry activity, or system-wide events. Those tools may require Run as administrator for particular functions. Installation itself does not mean that every tool always requires elevation.

Microsoft also provides an official file-based distribution from the Sysinternals Suite download page. As of Microsoft’s August 12, 2026 page update, the listed archive sizes are:

The direct full-suite download is SysinternalsSuite.zip. Extract it to a controlled folder, then launch the required utility from that folder. The ZIP is often the better choice when you need:

- Offline installation.
- Scripted extraction or software distribution.
- Access without Microsoft Store dependencies.
- Manual control over when files are replaced or updated.
Unlike Store delivery, ZIP updates require downloading and replacing the archive, unless your organization automates that process.
Store vs. WinGet vs. ZIP

The Store can service newer package versions through Microsoft Store distribution, but that does not guarantee that every individual utility updates immediately when its standalone release changes. Update timing can also be affected by Store and organizational policies.
Troubleshooting installation problems
The Store search shows no result
- Open the direct listing using product ID
9P7KNL5RWT25. - Update Windows and Microsoft Store.
- Sign out of and back into the Store if it requests authentication.
- Check whether your Windows edition, region, account, or organization policy restricts Store access.
- Repair or reset Microsoft Store through Windows Settings if the application is malfunctioning.
- Use WinGet or the official ZIP if Store access is intentionally blocked.
WinGet reports ambiguity
Search for the package and install it by exact ID:
winget search Sysinternals
winget show --id Microsoft.Sysinternals.Suite -e
winget install --id Microsoft.Sysinternals.Suite -eWinGet cannot find the package
Inspect and refresh configured sources:
winget source list
winget source update
winget search SysinternalsIf the package is listed in the Microsoft Store source, try --source msstore. If that source is unavailable or blocked, use the official ZIP archive.

Installation succeeds but a tool is not visible
Search the Start menu for the individual utility rather than looking for a traditional installation folder. If a script cannot find the command or you require a fixed executable path, use the ZIP edition. Also check that you are not launching an older copy extracted elsewhere.
Enterprise and Intune deployment
Enterprise deployment depends on your tenant, Windows edition, Store integration, device policies, and supported Intune capabilities. Validate the package and available deployment controls in your organization rather than assuming every tenant presents the same options.
Common approaches include:
- Deploying the Store package through your organization’s supported Microsoft Store and Intune integration.
- Packaging the official ZIP as a Win32 application.
- Distributing only selected utilities instead of the full Suite.
- Using scripts or configuration-management tools to extract and update the ZIP package.
Older instructions referring to Microsoft Store for Business, including synchronization workflows from earlier deployment guides, should not be treated as a current standard procedure. Enterprise administrators should use the capabilities available in their current Microsoft management environment and test deployment on representative devices.
Security and authenticity
Download Sysinternals only from Microsoft’s Store listing, Microsoft Learn, or the official download.sysinternals.com domain. Sysinternals utilities interact deeply with Windows, so antivirus or SmartScreen may scrutinize some files. Do not disable security controls simply to force installation.
For administrative deployments, verify the downloaded files’ Microsoft digital signatures and follow your organization’s approval and malware-handling procedures. Keep one documented installation source where possible; mixing an updated Store copy with an older ZIP-extracted copy can lead to confusing results when shortcuts or scripts launch different versions.
Which installation method should you choose?
- Choose the Microsoft Store for the simplest individual Windows installation.
- Choose WinGet for command-line setup, repeatable provisioning, and automation.
- Choose the official ZIP for offline use, a predictable folder, portable administration, or controlled enterprise packaging.
The historical 2021 Store instructions and their approximately 63.5 MB size estimate are no longer reliable descriptions of the current package. Use Microsoft’s current listing and download page for availability and archive details.
