Open your Pinterest profile, choose Share, and select Copy link. On a computer, you can also copy the address from your browser’s address bar. The resulting link should lead to your profile, typically in the form https://www.pinterest.com/username/.
Find your Pinterest URL in the mobile app
Pinterest’s labels and icon positions can vary between iPhone and Android, app versions, and personal versus business accounts. The general path is:

- Open the Pinterest app and sign in.
- Tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner.
- Open View profile if that option appears.
- Tap the share icon or the three-dot menu.
- Choose Copy link.

- Make sure you are viewing the profile page, not a board or Pin.
- Open the three-dot menu if the share icon is absent.
- Open Pinterest in your phone’s browser and copy the address-bar URL.
Find your Pinterest URL on a computer
- Go to Pinterest.com and sign in.
- Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Select View profile.
- Copy the complete URL from your browser’s address bar.
Pinterest confirms this desktop route in Find your profile. You can also open the profile, click Share, and choose Copy link, as described in Invite people to follow you.

What you should see
The copied address should open the intended profile rather than Pinterest’s homepage. A trailing slash or harmless sharing parameter can appear; minor formatting differences do not necessarily indicate a bad link.
What a Pinterest profile URL looks like
A normal public profile URL is usually based on the account’s username:
https://www.pinterest.com/username/
Pinterest says the username creates the profile’s unique web address and gives www.pinterest.com/Pinterest as an example in Edit your profile.
Username versus display name
Your display name is the visible name on the profile. Your username is the account identifier used in the web address, so the two do not have to match. Pinterest’s stated username rules are:
- Letters, numbers, and underscores are allowed.
- The username must be 3–30 characters long.
- Spaces and punctuation are not allowed.
- The username cannot consist only of numbers.
If you know the username, you can generally reconstruct the link by replacing USERNAME here:
https://www.pinterest.com/USERNAME/
Do not add an @ unless Pinterest included it in a copied link. Copying the actual profile URL remains safer because Pinterest can apply redirects or account-specific formatting.
How to check the username
On the web, the username is generally the path after the Pinterest domain. For example, in https://www.pinterest.com/exampleusername/, exampleusername is the username. Pinterest also describes this address-bar method in its law enforcement guidelines.
To inspect or change it, use Settings → Edit profile on desktop, or Profile → Edit profile → Username in the app. Because the username forms the profile address, changing it can make an old shared URL obsolete.
Find someone else’s Pinterest profile URL
On desktop
- Search for the person’s name or Pinterest username.
- Filter results to Profiles when that option is available.
- Open the correct profile.
- Copy the browser address-bar URL, or choose Share → Copy link.
In the app
- Tap Pinterest’s search control.
- Enter the person’s name or username.
- Filter results to profiles.
- Open the matching profile.
- Use the share control and tap Copy link.

Profile URL, board URL, Pin URL, or website URL?
“Pinterest URL” can refer to several different destinations. Select the one that matches what you want people to see:

The external address in your profile’s Website field is not your Pinterest profile URL. Pinterest places that field under Settings → Edit profile → Website on desktop and Profile → Edit profile → Website in the app. See Add your website to your profile. Both personal and business profiles have profile URLs, and you do not need to convert to a business account just to find or share yours. Pinterest provides sharing instructions for standard and business account interfaces; the menu labels may differ slightly.
Private profiles and invite links
A private profile is an exception to the normal public-link workflow. Pinterest documents a unique invite link that the owner can share with trusted people. That invite link expires after three days or after it has been used by five people, so it is not suitable as a permanent website bio, business-card link, or public campaign URL. Private profiles also cannot normally be discovered through search. Use the owner’s Pinterest invite mechanism instead of assuming the public profile address will grant access.
Check that your Pinterest link works
- Paste the copied link into a private or incognito browser window, or send it to someone who is not signed in to your account.
- Confirm the profile name and picture are the intended ones.
- Test it on both desktop and mobile if you plan to publish it in a bio, application, or campaign.
A signed-out visitor may see a login prompt, an app-open prompt, or a different view from a signed-in visitor. Those behaviors do not automatically mean the profile URL is wrong.
Troubleshoot an incorrect or unavailable link
The link opens the wrong account
- You copied a board or Pin instead of the profile.
- You mistook the display name for the username.
- The username was recently changed.
- Search returned a similarly named account.
- A share sheet or redirect was copied without checking its destination.
Reopen the intended profile, verify its name and image, copy the address bar or use Copy link again, then test the result while signed out.

Open Edit profile and inspect the Username field. The visible display name is not necessarily the URL segment.
The URL contains extra parameters
If the link still opens the correct profile, Pinterest’s added sharing or tracking parameters may be harmless. For a cleaner public reference, you can use the usual username form, https://www.pinterest.com/username/, after confirming the username and destination.
The profile cannot be found
Check whether the account is private, whether the username changed, and whether you are searching the exact username. A private account may require an expiring invite link rather than a normal publicly discoverable profile link.
