If K7 is still installed, check its notification-area icon: open Support and copy Serial no. K7 uses “serial number” for this license credential in its current renewal instructions, even though customers may also call it a product key or license key. If the app is unavailable, check your purchase records, K7 account, or contact official support.
Find the serial number in the K7 app
- In Windows, find the K7 icon in the notification area near the clock. If it is hidden, select the up-arrow to show hidden icons.
- Open the K7 icon or its context menu.
- Choose Support.
- Copy the displayed Serial no. and save it somewhere secure, such as a password manager.
This is the retrieval path described in K7’s US renewal instructions. Menu names and placement can vary by product and version. If you do not see Support, look for license information under labels such as License, Activation, About, Subscription, or Product information—but treat these as possible variations, not guaranteed paths.
The app may show only part of a serial number, or it may not open or display the full credential. Do not assume the complete key is always visible. Copy any information shown, then try the other recovery options below. Avoid trying to extract a key from program files or the Windows Registry; K7’s current guidance does not establish that as a reliable recovery method.

Search your email and purchase records
Search every email account you might have used to buy or register K7. Try terms such as K7, K7 Computing, K7 Antivirus, K7 Total Security, K7 Premium, K7 Ultimate Security, product key, license key, serial number, activation, renewal, order, and invoice.

Check spam and junk folders, archived messages, attachments such as PDF invoices, payment receipts, download emails, and retailer order history. For a boxed copy, check the card or activation-code insert inside the package and the printed invoice. If you bought from an authorized reseller, search its confirmation email and account records too. K7 says its products may be sold through its website, retail outlets, and authorized e-commerce partners; it does not document one universal email-recovery process.
Check your K7 account
If you registered or purchased the license through a K7 account, visit the official renewal page for your region and look for the account sign-in option. K7’s India renewal page offers account login as an alternative to entering a key. Availability and the information displayed can vary by region, product, and how you purchased the license. Try the email address used at checkout or registration; a different address may not show the license.
Signing in may help you access license information or proceed with renewal, but it is not a guaranteed way to reveal every key. The US renewal page separately documents copying the serial number from the installed app.

If K7 is no longer installed
After uninstalling K7 or reinstalling Windows, the notification-area method is no longer available. Work through these options: search the original email and attachments, check your retailer account and invoice, sign in to the relevant K7 account, and look for the activation card or packaging. Reinstalling K7 does not necessarily restore a lost key; whether a license is associated with an account, device, email address, or manually entered serial depends on the license and purchase.
Contact K7 support if you still cannot find it
Use the official K7 support portal or contact details published on K7’s own US support/contact page. K7 lists [email protected] and the US phone number +1 302 440 1497; its contact page also lists [email protected]. Contact details can change, so check the official site before calling. Make sure the website is on the k7computing.com domain.
To help support verify the purchase, gather your name, purchase or registration email, K7 product and edition, approximate purchase date, order number or invoice, retailer name, and any partial serial number or screenshot of the license screen. Share payment details only through a channel K7 identifies as secure, and provide only the information requested. Support may be able to help after verifying ownership; a replacement key is not guaranteed.

If the key is correct but activation fails
Finding a key and activating the product are separate steps. K7’s FAQ says activation requires an active internet connection and recommends checking the key’s accuracy and contacting support if activation still fails. Also try these general checks:

- Confirm the key is for the K7 edition you installed, and check whether the license has expired.
- If activation reports that the device limit has been reached, contact K7 about reassignment rather than assuming the license transfers automatically.
- Check that Windows has the correct date and time, then retry using a stable internet connection.
- If the problem continues, note the exact error and contact K7 support.

Avoid key generators, cracked installers, shared keys, “lifetime” keys from unknown sellers, registry hacks, and downloads claiming to reveal your license. K7’s End User License Agreement treats the license key as confidential and prohibits giving the activation code or key to third parties. Unofficial tools and sellers can expose you to malware, stolen credentials, invalid or revoked licenses, or tampered security software. Avoid phone numbers found on unrelated sites or social posts; use contact details published on K7’s own domain.

Key, serial number, and device limits
“Product key,” “license key,” “activation key,” and “serial number” are often used to mean the credential that identifies a K7 license. K7’s current renewal page labels it Serial no. Its EULA describes a license key as a unique 21-character value, but do not assume every current K7 product or regional license uses the same length or format. The example format on the renewal page is illustrative, not a universal rule.
K7’s FAQ lists plans for 1, 2, 3, or 5 devices, but those options are not necessarily available for every product, edition, or region. Reinstalling on the same computer, moving a license to a replacement, and adding another device are different cases. Check the allowance attached to your purchase; if K7 says the limit has been reached or you need to move a license, ask K7 support about the applicable process.

K7 also provides an offline activation form. It asks for information including a serial number, system ID, email, and product, so it is an activation option—not a way to recover a forgotten serial number.
