You can’t view your existing Activision password in your account. If you’ve forgotten it, reset it through Activision; the reset link goes to the email address on the account. If you don’t know that email, try signing in with a linked PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Battle.net, or Ubisoft account, then check Basic Info. If your email or password changed without your permission, use Activision’s hacked-account recovery process instead.
If you forgot your Activision password
Activision does not show you an existing password. A password saved in your browser or password manager may be viewable on that device, but Activision’s official recovery route is to create a new password.

- Open Activision’s password-reset page.
- Enter the email address registered to your Activision account and select Submit.
- Check your inbox, spam, junk, promotions, and any filtered or quarantine folders for Activision’s message.
- Open the message and select Reset Your Password.
- Choose a new password, then sign in with the account email and new password.
The reset link is valid for 24 hours and can be used only once. Activision’s current instructions list a password length of 8–30 characters, at least one letter and one number, no spaces, and no sequential or repeated-character patterns. Requirements can change, so follow the rules shown on the reset page.

Use only an official Activision page for the reset. Don’t give your password, verification codes, backup codes, or email access to anyone offering to “find” it.

If you don’t know which email is on the account
An in-game display name, Activision ID, or console gamertag is not necessarily the email used to sign in. Try these steps:
- Search every email inbox you use for “Activision,” “Call of Duty,” “password reset,” “verify your email,” and messages from
activision.com. - Check your browser’s saved passwords and your device’s password manager for an Activision login. A saved entry may show the username or email, even if you choose not to reveal its password.
- Try the email addresses you commonly used when creating gaming accounts.
- On the Activision sign-in page, choose a linked platform account—PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, Battle.net, or Ubisoft—and authenticate with that service.
- If you reach the Activision account, open the account menu from your display name and select Basic Info to inspect the email field.
Activision documents linked-platform sign-in as an access route, but it does not guarantee that everyone can discover a forgotten email this way. You need a platform account linked to the Activision account you intend to recover. Check the account’s display name and linked accounts before making changes; a platform login can lead to a different Activision account than the one you expected.

- Sign in to your Activision account.
- Open the account menu from your display name and select Basic Info.
- Select Edit beside the email address.
- Complete the requested account verification, enter an accessible email address, and provide your Activision password if prompted.
- Confirm the message sent to the new email address.
Menu wording or layout can change. Activision requires verification, and the new email must be confirmed. Being signed in through a linked platform may help you reach the account, but it does not guarantee that you can change the email without completing the required checks.

- Use your Visa Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, including online.
If you no longer have access to the old email
First contact the email provider and try to recover the mailbox. Activision sends password-reset and account-verification messages to the registered email, so restoring that mailbox is often the most direct solution.
If a platform account is linked, try signing in with it and then review Basic Info. If neither route works, contact Activision Support Options and choose the issue that best matches your situation. Activision says privacy and security restrictions may prevent Support from changing account information; support is not a guaranteed way to reveal or replace the account email.

If the password-reset email never arrives
- Check that you entered the email address correctly.
- Look in spam, junk, promotions, filtered folders, and quarantine.
- Search the mailbox for Activision and Call of Duty; the message may be in a different folder.
- Consider whether the account uses another email address.
- Wait briefly before submitting another request, especially if you may already have an active reset link.
If it still doesn’t arrive, use Activision Support Options and select I didn’t get a password reset email or I forgot my Activision account password, as appropriate.

If someone changed your email or password
Unexpected credential changes, an unfamiliar linked platform account, or login and verification notices you did not request may indicate unauthorized access. Don’t keep trying routine password resets if you’re locked out or the account details have changed. Start with Activision’s Hacked Account Recovery process. Activision says requests can take up to two days to process; its workflow may require a temporary account created with a verifiable, non-disposable email. Follow the recovery page’s instructions rather than creating another account on your own.

Protect the account after recovery
- Set a unique Activision password that you do not reuse on other sites.
- Review linked platform accounts and investigate or remove any you don’t recognize.
- Enable two-factor authentication (2FA).
- Secure the email account too; change its password if you think it may have been exposed.
- Never share your password or verification codes.
Activision also recommends a unique password, reviewing linked accounts, and enabling 2FA. See its account-security guidance. Avoid unlinking or moving a console or PC account casually: Call of Duty cross-progression is associated with the Activision account, and progress or content may become unavailable if a platform account is linked elsewhere. Verify that you have the original account before changing links.
