Capture a full webpage in Microsoft Edge

- Open the webpage in Edge and wait for the content you need to appear.
- Right-click an empty part of the page and choose Screenshot. Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+S.
- Choose the selected-area option if you only need part of the page, or choose the full-page capture option to include content below the fold.
- Use the markup tools if you want to annotate the capture.
- Choose the option to copy or save the screenshot.
If the right-click menu is over a link, image, or form control, its options may differ. Right-click an empty area instead. Microsoft also says Screenshot can be found in the Edge Settings menu, but the exact menu placement may change between versions.
Capture a full webpage in Firefox
Firefox lets you save the full page, the visible portion, a region, or an automatically detected part of a page. Mozilla documents saving the capture as an image or copying it. Firefox Take Screenshot
- Open the page in Firefox.
- Right-click an empty area and select Take Screenshot. You can also press Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows or Linux, or Command+Shift+S on macOS.
- Choose Save full page for a scrolling capture, or select Save visible for only the portion currently shown.
- To capture a smaller part, select a region or a detected page element.
- Choose Download to save a PNG image, or Copy to put it on the clipboard.
A full-page image may be much taller than the screen. If you intend to share it, check that text and page details remain legible at the recipient’s viewing size.

Take a screen, area, or window screenshot on a Mac
macOS shortcuts capture what is on the display, rather than automatically scrolling through a long webpage. Apple says screenshots are saved to the desktop by default; Screenshot controls can change the destination and other options. Apple’s Mac screenshot instructions
- Whole screen: Press Shift-Command-3.
- Selected area: Press Shift-Command-4, drag the crosshair over the area, then release.
- Window or menu: Press Shift-Command-4, press Space, then click the window or menu.
- Screenshot controls and timer: Press Shift-Command-5. Apple documents this Screenshot app shortcut for macOS Mojave 10.14 or later.
Use the selected-area shortcut when you need a quick crop without opening an editor. Use the controls when you want to set a timer or change where files are saved. To capture an entire scrolling webpage, switch to the page’s full-page capture command in Edge or Firefox instead.

- The shortcut does nothing: Confirm you are in Edge or Firefox and try the browser’s right-click menu. Keyboard shortcuts and commands can vary by browser version, device, or market.
- You only captured what was visible: Choose the full-page option in Edge or Firefox instead of a selected region or visible-page capture. macOS’s built-in shortcuts capture a screen, area, or window, not a documented full-page webpage.
- The browser menu does not show the command: Right-click an empty part of the page, check the browser’s settings menu where applicable, and confirm the browser is up to date. Exact labels and availability can change.
- The copied capture is missing when you paste: In Firefox, choose Copy to use the clipboard or Download to save a file. In Edge, use the overlay’s copy or save option; check that the destination application accepts images from the clipboard.
- The screenshot is hard to read: Capture only the needed region, increase browser zoom before capture, or use a full-page capture and inspect the saved image at a readable scale.
- A page element is absent from a full-page capture: Wait for the page to finish loading and check whether the site loads content only after interaction or scrolling.
