NVIDIA confirmed the current US monthly prices for Performance and Ultimate in its August 2025 announcement. Prices outside the US depend on location and payment region.
What does the Free plan include?
The Free plan lets you stream supported games you own and supported free-to-play games without a monthly subscription. The trade-off is that free users can face queues and receive up to two minutes of sponsored video messages before each gaming session. The ads do not interrupt gameplay.

What does Performance cost?
Performance costs $9.99 per month. It provides faster access than Free, higher supported resolutions and frame rates, ray tracing, DLSS, Reflex, Install-to-Play access, and 100GB of single-session cloud storage. It is generally the best-value paid option for players using an ordinary monitor or TV.

Performance is not unlimited. Standard members receive 100 hours of playtime per month, with up to 15 unused hours rolling into the next month.
What does Ultimate cost?
Ultimate costs $19.99 per month. It provides the fastest access to Ultimate servers, longer sessions than Free, and first access to RTX 5080-class cloud gaming rigs, subject to availability. NVIDIA advertises support for up to 5K at 120 frames per second and up to 360 frames per second at 1080p in supported circumstances. Your game, device, display, and network must support those settings.

Ultimate also includes features such as DLSS 4 and 100GB of single-session cloud storage. It still has the same 100-hour monthly allowance, with up to 15 hours of rollover.
RTX 5080 access is not guaranteed for every title or every session. NVIDIA says capacity limitations can result in an RTX 4080 connection, and some games have hardware exclusions. See NVIDIA’s RTX 5080 support information.

GeForce NOW does not usually include the games
GeForce NOW is primarily a cloud gaming service, not a subscription catalog that gives you every game. You generally pay NVIDIA for access to cloud hardware but must separately own or purchase the game.
Supported storefronts include Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox, Ubisoft Connect, EA app, Battle.net, and GOG, subject to each title’s availability. A game may be unavailable because of publisher support, region restrictions, store version, or content-rating rules. NVIDIA lists current requirements in its GeForce NOW FAQ.

What happens after 100 hours?
Performance and Ultimate members can check their reset date in the GeForce NOW Account Portal. After using the monthly allowance, you can:
- Buy additional premium playtime through the Account Portal.
- Continue with the basic free-user experience until the allowance resets.
- Wait for the next monthly reset.
NVIDIA does not expose a stable current hourly price in the referenced FAQ, so check the live Account Portal rather than relying on an old price. Install-to-Play access remains available after the premium allowance is exhausted, according to NVIDIA’s current FAQ.

The 100-hour limit is separate from a per-session time limit. Paid plans offer longer individual sessions than Free, but every session still has a maximum duration. NVIDIA’s exact session-duration rules can vary by plan and should be checked in the current membership comparison.

Games
You may need to buy the games separately from a supported store.
Persistent cloud storage
Performance and Ultimate include 100GB of single-session storage. Optional persistent storage is listed by NVIDIA at:
- 200GB: $2.99 per month
- 500GB: $4.99 per month
- 1TB: $7.99 per month
Persistent storage can retain Install-to-Play installations and relevant data between sessions. Without it, an installed game may need to be downloaded again. Save continuity also depends on features such as Steam Cloud. Moving persistent-storage locations can erase saved Install-to-Play data.

Internet and equipment
A subscription does not include internet service, a controller, a display, or networking equipment. Streaming quality depends on bandwidth, latency, Wi-Fi stability, data caps, and distance from a supported server.
What are GeForce NOW Day Passes?
Day Passes provide premium access for 24 consecutive hours. They offer ad-free sessions, faster server access, and higher-performance rigs without a recurring subscription. The pass starts at checkout, cannot be stacked, and may be credited toward a premium membership if you upgrade within NVIDIA’s stated credit window.

- Choose Free if you are testing the service, play rarely, and can tolerate queues and pre-session ads.
- Choose Performance if you want the least expensive paid plan, faster access, RTX features, and Install-to-Play without needing the highest-end cloud hardware.
- Choose Ultimate if you have a high-refresh-rate or high-resolution display and will benefit from RTX 5080-class access, higher frame rates, longer sessions, and the fastest Ultimate-server access.
- Choose a Day Pass if you need premium cloud gaming for one day or want to test your network before subscribing.
Ultimate is harder to justify on a 60Hz display, an unreliable connection, or a light gaming schedule. If you regularly exceed 100 hours per month, calculate the cost of additional premium hours before subscribing; a local gaming PC or another service may be more economical.

Important exceptions
Qualifying legacy Founders members may retain grandfathered benefits, including unlimited playtime, while maintaining the required membership. Those benefits can change if the account is upgraded or downgraded and do not apply to ordinary new Performance or Ultimate subscriptions.
Annual and promotional pricing can differ from the monthly figures above. NVIDIA announced Ultimate at $199.99 for 12 months, but confirm the current US checkout for annual Performance pricing, taxes, promotions, and the final amount charged.

Bottom line
For US customers, GeForce NOW is free to try, $9.99 per month for Performance, and $19.99 per month for Ultimate. Performance is the sensible paid starting point for most players; Ultimate is for users who can actually take advantage of premium resolution, frame rates, and RTX 5080-class hardware. In both cases, remember that the games are usually purchased separately and paid memberships now include a 100-hour monthly allowance.
