Link Twitch to the EA Account you use to play the relevant game. Rewards sent to a different EA Account cannot be transferred.
- Sign in to your EA Account.
- Open Connected Accounts.
- Select Twitch, then Continue.
- Sign in to Twitch and authorize Electronic Arts.
- Verify the Twitch username shown on both services.

What linking EA to Twitch does
Linking your accounts allows eligible EA games and promotions to associate Twitch Drops or other stream-based rewards with your EA profile. It does not automatically grant every item shown on Twitch. The stream must be part of an eligible campaign, you must meet that campaign’s requirements, and you may need to claim the reward manually.

Before you start
- An EA Account.
- A Twitch account.
- Access to the EA Account that contains the game progress you use.
- Access to the intended Twitch account.
- The correct game and platform account signed in, where applicable.
- Access to EA security or identity-verification prompts if they appear.
Some underage EA Accounts may not be able to connect to certain streaming or social accounts. EA’s account-linking guide lists the current restrictions and labels.
How to link EA to Twitch from EA’s website
- Open EA Account settings and sign in.
- Open Connected Accounts.
- Find Twitch and select it.
- Select Continue.
- Sign in to the Twitch account you want to use.
- Review the authorization request and approve the connection.
- Return to EA Account settings and confirm that Twitch appears as connected.
EA may ask you to verify your identity before showing or changing connected accounts. The exact interface can change, but the current EA process is documented in its linking instructions and official linking video.
Can you start the link from Twitch?
Yes, EA also provides the direct route at ea.com/twitchlinking. For third-party connections such as EA, Twitch’s guidance generally points users to the developer’s own website or account settings rather than relying on Twitch’s Recommended Connections list. The EA-side method above is therefore the clearest route.

How to verify the connection
Do not rely only on the redirect after authorization. Check both accounts and confirm the username.
Check EA
Go to EA Account settings → Connected Accounts → Twitch. Confirm that Twitch is listed and that the displayed Twitch username is the one you intended to authorize.
Check Twitch
Open Twitch account settings and review the authorized or connected applications. Look for Electronic Arts. Twitch allows users to inspect and revoke third-party access from its connection settings; see its account-settings guidance.

This two-sided check can reveal a common browser mistake: authorizing a second Twitch account that was already signed in in another tab or saved by password-manager autofill.

How to claim EA Twitch Drops
After linking, watching an eligible stream and claiming the reward are separate steps:
- Sign in to the linked Twitch account.
- Watch an eligible EA stream with Drops enabled for the required period.
- Open your Twitch profile menu.
- Select Drops & Rewards.
- Check the campaign’s progress.
- Select Claim when the reward becomes available.
- Launch the game using the same EA Account that you linked.
Merely watching is not always enough. EA’s Twitch Drops instructions explain that a manual claim may be required.

How long do EA Twitch Drops take to arrive?
EA says some rewards may take up to 24 hours to appear in-game after you claim them. That is a possible delivery delay, not a guarantee that every reward will arrive within exactly 24 hours.
Some promotions are also drawings rather than guaranteed rewards. In those campaigns, meeting the viewing requirement may enter you into a selection process without guaranteeing that you receive the item.
Reward missing? Follow this order
- Check the EA Account. Confirm it is the account used to play the game and that it contains your expected progress.
- Check the Twitch username. Make sure the authorized Twitch account is the one where you watched the stream.
- Check the claim status. Open Twitch’s Drops & Rewards page and confirm that you selected Claim.
- Check campaign eligibility. Confirm that the stream was Drop-enabled and that you met its time, region, platform, or other requirements.
- Check the in-game account. The game must be signed in to the same EA Account linked to Twitch.
- Restart the game and platform. Fully close and relaunch both where applicable.
- Allow the delivery window. Wait up to 24 hours when the campaign and EA guidance indicate that delay may apply.
- Contact EA. If the reward is still missing, use EA’s missing-content support route.
Content awarded to the wrong EA Account generally cannot be transferred. Verify the account before authorizing the connection rather than trying to correct the mistake after claiming.

If Twitch says the account is already linked
This message can mean that Twitch is connected to another EA Account, that the wrong Twitch account is open in your browser, that an old authorization remains on Twitch, or that you are trying to switch again before EA allows the change.
- Sign out of both EA and Twitch.
- Open the EA Account’s Connected Accounts page and check the current Twitch connection.
- On Twitch, review authorized applications and disconnect Electronic Arts if the old authorization remains.
- Open a private or incognito browser window if cached credentials keep returning the wrong account.
- Sign in again to the intended EA and Twitch accounts.
- Restart the process from EA or ea.com/twitchlinking.
Checking password-manager autofill can also help if it repeatedly selects the wrong login. Complete EA identity verification or Login Verification if prompted.
Unlinking from both sides can be a practical escalation step in a stuck connection, but it is not a guaranteed fix. If the connection remains stuck, contact EA support. Twitch’s guidance generally directs users to the third-party service for connection problems involving that service.
How to unlink or switch the Twitch account
EA allows a Twitch account to be unlinked and associated with a different EA Account in applicable cases, but switching may not be available immediately. Do not unlink the account simply to refresh it unless you understand the risk.
Future rewards are associated with the EA Account linked when the Drop is earned and claimed. Rewards already sent to another EA Account cannot be moved to the account you intended to use.
EA documents a specific 12-month restriction for switching Steam accounts. Do not apply that Steam rule universally to Twitch; the Twitch guidance instead warns that switching may not be immediately available.

Important account and promotion limits
- Not every EA game supports Twitch Drops.
- Not every stream featuring an EA game is eligible.
- Watching time alone may not guarantee a reward.
- Some rewards require manual claiming.
- Delivery is not always instant.
- Rewards cannot be transferred between EA Accounts.
- Relinking may not be available immediately after a switch.
