Gladiator II began streaming on Paramount+ on January 21, 2025—not January 17, according to Paramount+’s own published streaming guide. The sequel is currently listed on Paramount+ in the U.S., although catalog availability can vary by market and change over time.
When did Gladiator II come to Paramount+?
Paramount+’s streaming guide, published January 21, 2025, said that Gladiator II was streaming “starting today.” That is the strongest official evidence for the film’s U.S. subscription-streaming date.

The January 17 date may have referred to an earlier report, a different release window, a digital rental or purchase date, or simply an error. It should not be treated as the confirmed Paramount+ streaming date without a separate contemporaneous source.

The film opened in U.S. theaters on November 22, 2024, before moving to Paramount+ roughly two months later. Theatrical, digital-rental and subscription-streaming dates are separate release windows and should not be conflated.

How to watch Gladiator II
The subscription-streaming destination confirmed by Paramount+ is Paramount+’s official movie page. Watching it through that route requires a Paramount+ subscription or eligible access through a supported Paramount+ platform.
Paramount+ supports viewing through web and mobile browsers, its iOS and Android apps, smart TVs, streaming devices and game consoles, including platforms such as Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, LG, Samsung, Vizio, Xbox and PlayStation. Should you watch the original first?
It is recommended. Paramount+’s guide to the Gladiator movies says both films can be streamed on the service and presents the original Gladiator before Gladiator II in chronological viewing order.
The sequel can be approached on its own, but watching the 2000 film first provides useful context for the characters, legacy and political world that Gladiator II revisits.

If you are looking for the confirmed Paramount+ date, use January 21, 2025. Paramount+’s official guide supports that date, while January 17 is not confirmed by the available official Paramount+ material. The film is currently listed on Paramount+, but availability is not guaranteed permanently or across every country.
