GALAX’s RTX 50-series lineup is easier to understand than the launch shorthand suggests: the RTX 5080 is offered in both EX Gamer and standard 1-Click OC versions, while the RTX 5090 model listed in GALAX’s catalog is the separate RTX 5090 1-Click OC. No RTX 5090 EX Gamer model appears in the official catalog checked.
That distinction matters because EX Gamer is primarily the larger, feature-rich cooler design, while 1-Click OC is both a product-family name and GALAX’s software-assisted overclocking feature.
GALAX’s actual RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 lineup
GALAX’s official catalog lists these relevant models:

GALAX may use EX Gamer, Extreme Gamer, or EXG branding depending on the regional site. GALAX and KFA2 can also use different names and model numbers in different markets, so the local distributor page and exact part number should take priority when you are ready to buy.

EX Gamer versus standard 1-Click OC
The two names should not be treated as simple speed grades. They describe different board-partner approaches.
EX Gamer: larger cooler and more visual hardware
GALAX’s documented EX Gamer design uses a triple-fan WINGS 3.0 cooler, fan-stop behavior at idle, an expanded backplate opening for airflow, custom PCB power delivery, and front- and side-facing ARGB lighting. On the cited EX Gamer product page, the fan arrangement is two 92 mm fans surrounding a larger 102 mm fan.
GALAX describes the revised design as improving air pressure, noise, and temperature compared with its predecessor. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent measurements. The EX Gamer’s practical advantages are therefore its cooling hardware, potential thermal and acoustic headroom, appearance, and factory-overclock support—not a different GPU class.

The standard 1-Click OC cards are not merely EX Gamer cards with their clocks reduced. They use a different chassis and positioning strategy, with the RTX 5080 versions described in launch coverage as being designed around NVIDIA’s SFF-READY requirements.
That can make the standard 1-Click OC more attractive for cases with strict GPU clearance. However, SFF-READY does not mean universal small-form-factor compatibility. Length, thickness, side-panel clearance, cable bend space, radiator interference, and airflow still have to be checked against the exact card and case.
The available product names do not establish that every EX Gamer and standard 1-Click OC model has identical fan layouts, dimensions, clocks, memory specifications, or power limits. Check the individual regional product page or manual before ordering.
What “1-Click OC” actually does
“1-Click OC” has two related meanings. It appears in the model name, and it identifies a selectable software overclocking profile.

- Install the supported GALAX Xtreme Tuner software.
- Connect the PC and mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network if using the mobile-control feature.
- Use the application to apply the one-click overclock profile.
- Use the same utility for supported monitoring, GPU information, and ARGB controls.
The one-click profile is not a separate GPU chip and does not guarantee a fixed performance increase. The precise clock varies by model and region. A factory boost clock is the card’s default advertised target; a 1-Click OC clock is an optional software profile; manual overclocking gives the user direct control over frequency, voltage, power, and fan behavior.
Real-world gains depend on temperature, power limits, GPU Boost behavior, silicon variation, resolution, game engine, and workload duration. Do not assume that a card with “1-Click OC” in its name will outperform every reference-clock RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 by a meaningful percentage.
RTX 5080 EX Gamer models
The RTX 5080 EX Gamer 1-Click OC and EX Gamer 1-Click OC White are the choices for buyers who want a larger triple-fan design, ARGB lighting, and a more substantial cooler.

- Best suited to: spacious gaming desktops, high-resolution gaming, visually themed builds, and buyers who value cooling headroom.
- Potential drawbacks: greater case-clearance demands, more occupied space around the PCIe area, and potentially higher pricing than a simpler RTX 5080 design.
- White version: primarily a color and aesthetic choice unless the local product page identifies a separate specification.
Do not copy the dimensions of GALAX’s documented RTX 5070 EX Gamer onto the RTX 5080. The cited RTX 5070 page specifies 334 × 144 × 52 mm with the bracket, 322 × 130 × 52 mm without the bracket, and a 2.5-slot requirement. Those figures are verified for that RTX 5070 model only, not automatically for the RTX 5080 EX Gamer.

RTX 5080 standard 1-Click OC models
The RTX 5080 1-Click OC and 1-Click OC White are the more compact-oriented alternatives in the lineup. Launch coverage described these cards as designed with NVIDIA’s SFF-READY requirements in mind.
That positioning is useful for compact builds, but buyers should not interpret it as a promise that the card will fit every small case. Confirm:
- maximum GPU length with front radiators and drive cages installed;
- slot thickness and adjacent-slot obstruction;
- side-panel clearance;
- space for the 16-pin power cable and its bend radius;
- front-intake obstruction and case airflow;
- whether a support bracket is included or recommended; and
- clearance for other PCIe expansion cards.
The compact design may be the better choice when physical fit is the deciding factor. The EX Gamer is more appropriate when the case has room and cooling, acoustics, and lighting matter more than minimum size.
RTX 5090 1-Click OC: why the name matters
GALAX’s checked official catalog lists the RTX 5090 as 1-Click OC, not as EX Gamer. It should therefore not be described as an RTX 5090 Extreme Gamer unless a separate regional product page confirms that exact designation.
This is the flagship option in the listed group and is aimed at systems built for the highest performance tier represented here. Its power, heat, case, and airflow requirements are correspondingly more demanding. It is a poor match for a modest gaming PC, a constrained chassis, or a system designed around minimal power consumption.
Regional availability is also important. BenchLife reported that the RTX 5090 1-Click OC was intended for markets outside China and certain other regions. That is a regional report, not a universal statement about every country. Confirm local stock, warranty coverage, distributor support, and the exact model number before purchase.
Power, connectors, and system compatibility
GALAX guidance cited in its RTX 50-series product material gives these minimum PSU signals:

For either GPU:
- Prefer a reputable ATX 3.x/PCIe 5.x PSU with a native 16-pin cable.
- Insert the connector fully until it is seated.
- Avoid a sharp bend immediately at the plug.
- Use the supplied adapter only as directed by the manual.
- Never reuse modular PSU cables from a different PSU brand or model unless the manufacturer explicitly confirms compatibility.
- Leave additional headroom for a high-end CPU and sustained rendering, AI, or compute workloads.
Do not treat “850 W minimum” as proof that every 850 W unit is appropriate for every RTX 5080 build, or that all 1,000 W PSUs are equally suitable for an RTX 5090.

The cited GALAX RTX 50-series product page lists three DisplayPort 2.1b outputs, one HDMI 2.1b output, PCIe 5.0 support, and a single 16-pin power connection with an adapter for compatible 8-pin PCIe leads.
Those details are verified for the cited EX Gamer product page, but should not automatically be applied to every RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 regional SKU. Check the exact product page and manual for outputs, dimensions, slot thickness, memory configuration, clock speeds, power limits, and included accessories.
Performance expectations
The board-partner model does not turn an RTX 5080 into an RTX 5090. GPU class remains the primary performance distinction. The choice between GALAX models mainly affects:
- cooling design and potential noise behavior;
- physical dimensions and case compatibility;
- default and selectable clock profiles;
- lighting and appearance;
- warranty and local support; and
- price and availability.
For gaming, compare the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 at the resolution and settings you actually use. Separate native rendering from DLSS 4 and frame-generation results, and distinguish rasterization from ray tracing. For AI, rendering, video production, and compute, memory capacity, application support, sustained thermals, and power delivery may matter more than a small factory-clock difference.
Independent thermal, noise, and benchmark testing is required to quantify any advantage from the EX Gamer cooler or the 1-Click OC profile. GALAX’s design claims alone do not establish a universal temperature, noise, or frame-rate improvement.
Which GALAX card should you choose?
Choose the RTX 5080 EX Gamer if:
- your case has room for a large triple-fan card;
- cooling headroom, lighting, and appearance matter;
- you want a selectable factory-OC profile; and
- the price premium over a simpler RTX 5080 is acceptable.
Choose the RTX 5080 1-Click OC if:
- GPU size is a major constraint;
- you are building around an SFF-oriented case;
- you still want GALAX’s software-accessible one-click overclock mode; and
- you prefer compactness over the largest cooler and most elaborate lighting design.
Choose the RTX 5090 1-Click OC if:
- you need the highest performance tier in this listed lineup;
- your case, PSU, cooling, and airflow are designed for it;
- the local price and availability make sense; and
- you understand that 1-Click OC is a selectable profile, not a guaranteed large performance uplift.
Availability and regional buying checks
The official catalog confirms the listed product names but does not establish a universal retail price, US stock status, or worldwide availability. Before buying, verify the following on your local GALAX or KFA2 page, distributor listing, or retailer page:
- exact model number;
- GPU length, height, thickness, and required slots;
- clock speeds and power limits;
- connector and adapter contents;
- warranty provider and region;
- included support bracket, if any; and
- current stock and return policy.
Regional branding can change, and a product shown on GALAX’s global catalog may not be distributed in every country.
Bottom line
GALAX’s lineup is best understood as two RTX 5080 paths and one distinct RTX 5090 path. The RTX 5080 EX Gamer models prioritize a larger triple-fan cooler, ARGB styling, and cooling headroom. The RTX 5080 standard 1-Click OC models target a more compact, SFF-oriented design while retaining the software feature. The RTX 5090 listed by GALAX is the separate RTX 5090 1-Click OC—not a verified RTX 5090 EX Gamer.
