No. PlayStation Plus does not include an EA Play membership in Essential, Extra, or Premium. EA Play is a separate subscription. Individual EA games sometimes appear in PS Plus, but access to one game does not unlock EA Play’s full Play List, trials, rewards, or discount.

Does any PS Plus plan include EA Play?
No. None of the three US PS Plus plans includes an EA Play membership. Sony’s plan comparison describes different PS Plus benefits; EA Play is sold separately. Premium’s game trials are PlayStation benefits, not EA Play’s selected new-release trials.

PS Plus and EA Play do different things
PS Plus is Sony’s subscription service. Its catalog and benefits depend on the tier, and catalog titles can rotate or have end dates. EA Play is EA’s separate membership. On PlayStation, it provides access to eligible games in the current EA Play List, trials of selected new releases (up to 10 hours for eligible trials), selected in-game member rewards, and a 10% discount on eligible EA digital purchases such as games, points packs, Season Passes, and DLC. Not every EA game or new release is included. The Play List and offers can change. EA’s FAQ explains the membership benefits.

EA Play Pro is a different, higher-priced EA membership; it is not a PS Plus tier or the standard EA Play option described here.
Why is an EA game in the PS Plus catalog?
Sony can add individual EA titles to PS Plus. For example, the US PS Plus pages show Madden NFL 26 in the Game Catalog; other EA games have appeared in PS Plus offerings at different times. That means a particular game is available through a particular PS Plus benefit—not that EA Play is included.

The distinction matters: an EA game in the Game Catalog generally requires Extra or Premium, while an EA title offered as a Monthly Game must be claimed during its offer period and requires an active PS Plus membership to play. An EA Play title that is not separately available through your PS Plus plan still requires EA Play or a separate purchase. Check the current regional PS Plus catalog rather than relying on an old list; availability changes over time and by region.
Do you need PS Plus to use EA Play?
No. You can subscribe to EA Play on PlayStation without PS Plus. But EA Play does not provide the online-multiplayer entitlement that PS Plus supplies for most paid PS4 and PS5 games. Whether you need both depends on the game and how you play it.

- Single-player EA Play game: EA Play alone is generally enough, subject to that game’s own requirements.
- Paid game with online multiplayer: You will usually need EA Play for subscription access to the game and PS Plus for online multiplayer.
- Free-to-play game: PS Plus is generally not required for online play in free-to-play games, though an EA account or other game-specific requirements may still apply. PlayStation lists free-to-play exceptions.
EA’s terms note that PS Plus is required for online features in certain Play List games. Check EA’s terms and the game’s current requirements if online access is the deciding factor.
Which subscription should you buy?
- You mainly need online multiplayer: Choose PS Plus Essential. It does not include EA Play or the Extra Game Catalog.
- You want a broad rotating PlayStation catalog: Consider Extra. It may include EA games, but the selection changes and it does not provide EA Play’s full benefits.
- You want Classics, cloud streaming, or PlayStation trials: Premium may suit you. Do not buy it just to get EA Play; it is not included.
- You want several EA games, eligible EA trials, rewards, or the EA digital-purchase discount: Consider EA Play. At the US prices checked August 16, 2026, its annual plan is $39.99. It does not replace PS Plus for most paid online multiplayer.
- You want both EA games and paid online multiplayer: You may need EA Play plus at least PS Plus Essential.
- You only want one game or want to keep it after a subscription ends: Compare buying that game outright with subscription access. A subscription download is not permanent ownership.

- Open the PlayStation Store on your PS5 or PS4.
- Search for EA Play, or find a game listing that offers the membership.
- Choose the monthly or annual plan shown in the Store and complete the purchase.
- Find an eligible EA Play game or trial in the Store and download it.
EA says PlayStation members can download eligible games and trials directly from the PlayStation Store. Store screens and labels can change.
How to cancel EA Play on PlayStation
EA’s documented PlayStation route is Settings → Account Management → Account Information → PlayStation Subscriptions → select EA Play → Turn Off Auto-Renewal. Menu labels may vary as Sony updates its interface. Turning off renewal stops the next charge; access generally continues through the paid period. If an EA game asks you to subscribe or pay again
Check the game’s current Store listing and the entitlement you expect to use. Common explanations include:

- The game has left the PS Plus Game Catalog or is not available in your region.
- Your plan is Essential, which does not include the Extra/Premium Game Catalog.
- The game is in EA Play but not currently in PS Plus, or vice versa.
- You are seeing a separate EA Play offer rather than a PS Plus entitlement.
- The game, add-on, or online feature has a separate requirement, such as an EA account or PS Plus for paid online multiplayer.
Likewise, downloading a game through EA Play does not mean you own it. When EA Play access ends, you need to own it or have another active entitlement to keep playing.

Is EA Play included in PS Plus Premium?

Are EA Play games permanent?
No. Play List access lasts only while the membership is active and the title remains eligible. You retain access if you own the game separately or qualify through another active service.
Does EA Play transfer from PlayStation to PC or Xbox?
No. EA says membership benefits are tied to the platform where the membership was purchased.
Is EA Play Pro available on PlayStation?
