These are historical Cyber Monday 2025 deals, not current prices. The best overall offer was the 13-inch MacBook Air with M4 at about $749, while the 15-inch Air was the best large-screen value and the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M5 chip was the better choice for demanding workloads.
Cyber Monday 2025 fell on December 1, 2025. Prices below were reported in the U.S. around Black Friday and Cyber Monday and should be treated as archived deal benchmarks. Retailer inventory, configuration, tax, seller, and condition affected the final price.

Deal reports from TechRadar, 9to5Toys, and MacPrices recorded the 13-inch Air around $749. Some trackers briefly showed approximately $738. That was not necessarily the same universal configuration or price: retailer, storage, memory, color, seller, and short-lived price changes could all matter.
Best overall: 13-inch MacBook Air M4
The 13-inch M4 Air was the strongest deal for most people. At around $749, it combined strong everyday performance, a compact design, silent fanless operation, and Apple’s claimed battery life of up to 18 hours. The M4 Air launched with 16GB of unified memory, which made it a more sensible long-term purchase than older entry-level models with less memory.

It was a good fit for schoolwork, office apps, web browsing, streaming, general programming, video calls, and frequent travel. Apple also equipped the M4 Air with a 12MP Center Stage camera and support for up to two external displays in addition to its built-in screen. The main compromise was the 256GB SSD on many discounted base models. That is adequate for cloud-first users, but 512GB is the safer choice for anyone keeping the Mac for several years, storing photos or video locally, or installing large development environments. Apple silicon MacBook memory is integrated, so choose 16GB, 24GB, or 32GB at purchase rather than assuming it can be upgraded later.

Best large-screen value: 15-inch MacBook Air M4
The 15-inch M4 Air was the better option for split-screen work, spreadsheets, editing timelines, and anyone who wanted more workspace without paying Pro prices. Reported Cyber Monday pricing was around $949 for selected configurations.

It retained the Air’s quiet design and portability advantages relative to a Pro, but it was less convenient for frequent travel. If its price moved close to a discounted 14-inch Pro, the Pro’s brighter display, extra ports, active cooling, and sustained performance could justify the difference.

Best premium deal: 14-inch MacBook Pro M5
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the base M5 chip was the premium choice, not the default recommendation. It launched at $1,599 in the U.S., and reported Cyber Monday discounts of roughly $250–$300 brought some configurations to approximately $1,349–$1,399.
Choose it when you regularly need sustained performance for video exports, large software builds, virtual machines, 3D work, or local AI workloads. Its advantages also included a Liquid Retina XDR display, more ports, active cooling, and broader memory and storage options than discounted Air configurations.

Apple claimed up to 24 hours of battery life and improvements in AI, graphics, and storage performance; those are Apple’s claims rather than independent test results. The launch details are in Apple’s October 2025 announcement.
Do not buy the M5 Pro merely because its chip is newer. For everyday work, the M4 Air was considerably cheaper and already capable. WIRED reached a similar value conclusion during the sale period.

Which configuration should you buy?
- 16GB/256GB: Suitable for light users who rely on cloud storage or an external drive.
- 16GB/512GB: The best default for long-term ownership and most professional users.
- 24GB/512GB: Better for large creative projects, development, virtual machines, and heavier multitasking.
- 32GB/1TB or more: Justified for demanding local workloads, video libraries, photo catalogs, games, or users who do not want external storage.
Compare the complete configuration rather than the headline price. A $749 Air with 256GB is not automatically the better buy than a $949 model with 512GB if replacing the storage later would be expensive or inconvenient.
Was Cyber Monday better than Black Friday?
Not reliably. The $749 13-inch M4 Air was already appearing around Black Friday and continued into Cyber Monday. For MacBooks, inventory and configuration often mattered more than the calendar day. The practical rule was to buy when the desired model reached its target price rather than wait for midnight on December 1 and risk depleted stock. 9to5Mac’s holiday coverage also illustrates how pricing continued to move after Cyber Monday.
Are older M2 or M3 MacBooks worth considering?
Only when they were substantially cheaper than the M4 Air or offered a materially better memory and storage configuration. Avoid paying near-M4 pricing for an M2 or M3 model. Check whether the product is new, refurbished, open-box, or used, and verify battery condition, warranty, return policy, and seller identity.

Cyber Monday MacBook buying checklist
- Confirm the exact chip: M4 Air or base-M5 Pro, not a similarly titled listing.
- Check unified memory and SSD capacity in the specifications, not just the product title.
- Confirm that the item is new retail stock rather than open-box, refurbished, or used.
- Review the “sold by” and “shipped by” fields when buying through a marketplace.
- Compare the return window, warranty, and AppleCare+ eligibility.
- Add sales tax and shipping before comparing final prices.
- Compare an Apple gift-card offer with an immediate retailer discount; they are not equivalent.
Final ranking
- 13-inch MacBook Air M4 at about $749: best value for most buyers.
- 15-inch MacBook Air M4 at about $949: best large-screen Air deal.
- 14-inch MacBook Pro M5 at about $1,349–$1,399: best premium option when sustained performance or Pro features matter.
- Older M2 or M3: worthwhile only at a steep, clearly documented discount.
