Battery life will depend on lighting, wireless mode, and usage, so do not treat any quoted estimate as universal.

Best cheap mechanical keyboard: Lemokey X1
The Lemokey X1 reached an unusually low documented price of $20.71, compared with a listed $36.99. It was the clearest entry-level mechanical bargain in Tom’s Guide’s Cyber Monday coverage.

Best budget 75% keyboard: Redragon K673 Pro
The Redragon K673 Pro cost $37.35, down from a listed $64.99. Its 75% layout offers function-row access and arrow keys in less space than a full-size board, making it a stronger choice than a tiny 60% keyboard for general use.
It was a reasonable low-cost way to try a compact mechanical layout. However, budget boards can vary by switch, layout, connectivity, and seller. Confirm the exact US ANSI variant and included accessories before buying.

Best office keyboard: Logitech MX Keys Mini
The Logitech MX Keys Mini was $79, down from $99. It is the right kind of recommendation for office workers and typists who prefer a compact, laptop-style keyboard rather than a loud or highly customizable mechanical board.
Its low-profile, non-mechanical design is better suited to buyers prioritizing a familiar productivity feel and a compact desk footprint. The trade-off is important: there is no numpad, no mechanical switch selection, and no reason to choose it if gaming-focused features are your priority.
Skip it if: you want mechanical switches, keycap customization, or frequent numeric entry.
Best general-purpose mechanical keyboard: Keychron K2 V3
At $71 versus a listed $84, the Keychron K2 V3 was a sensible middle-ground mechanical keyboard. Its 75% format retains the function row and arrow keys while reducing desk width, which suits programming, writing, and casual gaming.
It is a better general recommendation than a specialized competitive board for people who divide their time between work and play. Check the exact switch, layout, operating-system support, and connection modes because keyboard families often have multiple variants.
Skip it if: you need a numpad or specifically want adjustable actuation and rapid-trigger controls.
Best Hall-effect deal: Meletrix Boog75
The Meletrix Boog75 fell to $125.99 from $199.99. Its magnetic, Hall-effect switches are the reason to buy it: this technology can support adjustable actuation and rapid-trigger behavior, features aimed primarily at competitive gaming.
Hall-effect does not automatically make a keyboard better for everyone. The benefits matter most to players who will tune actuation and use rapid-trigger controls. For office work, a conventional mechanical or scissor keyboard may be quieter, simpler, and more comfortable.

Best competitive gaming deal: Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL
The Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL was listed at $147.99, down from $219.99. Those features can offer useful control for some players, but they do not guarantee better performance.
TKL removes the numpad and leaves more room for a mouse than a full-size keyboard. That is useful for many FPS setups, but less convenient for spreadsheet-heavy work. Software and feature support should be checked for the operating system you use.

Best wireless option with a numpad: ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless
PC Gamer reported a $130 price and an $80 saving for the ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless. A 96% layout keeps nearly all full-size keys, including a numpad, while using less space than a traditional full-size arrangement.
This is the strongest fit for gamers who want wireless functionality but cannot give up numeric entry. It is not as compact as a TKL or 75% board, and buyers should verify whether the listing includes the correct wireless receiver and regional layout.
Skip it if: maximum mouse space or a small travel footprint matters more than the numpad.

Best premium low-profile keyboard: Corsair K100 Air Wireless
The Corsair K100 Air Wireless was $179.99, down from a listed $329.99. The large advertised reduction looked impressive, but the keyboard remained a premium purchase and its low-profile design makes it a specialist recommendation.

Choose it because you specifically prefer low-profile keys and premium wireless features—not simply because the percentage discount was large. The cited “was” price may be a list or comparison price rather than a typical street price.
Skip it if: you want maximum value or do not care about low-profile typing.
Best premium TKL: SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3
The SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 was reported at $189.99, down from $239.99. It is aimed at buyers who want a premium compact gaming keyboard with adjustable-switch features.

Pick the layout before the brand
- Full-size: best for spreadsheets and frequent numeric entry, but uses the most desk space.
- 96%: keeps a numpad and nearly all full-size keys in a more compact arrangement.
- TKL or 80%: removes the numpad and creates more mouse room.
- 75%: keeps the function row and arrow keys while saving space; often the best all-round enthusiast layout.
- 65% or 60%: saves the most room but moves or removes navigation, function, and arrow keys.
Compact boards can require function-layer shortcuts for Home, End, Page Up, Page Down, Insert, Print Screen, media controls, and other editing commands. If you work with numbers all day, a 96% or full-size board is usually the safer choice.
Mechanical, membrane, optical, or Hall-effect?
Mechanical keyboards offer distinct key feels, switch choices, and often more customization. Membrane keyboards are commonly cheaper and quieter and can be perfectly adequate for office work or casual gaming.
Optical switches use light-based actuation, but the implementation differs between manufacturers. Hall-effect or magnetic switches measure key movement magnetically and can enable adjustable actuation and rapid-trigger behavior. They are most valuable to competitive players, not automatically superior for typing.

Wired versus wireless
Wired USB is simple and avoids charging. For wireless gaming, 2.4GHz is generally the mode to prioritize; Bluetooth is useful for laptops, tablets, phones, and multi-device workflows. Do not assume a universal latency advantage without model-specific testing.
Before buying, confirm that the package includes the receiver, whether the keyboard supports Bluetooth and 2.4GHz, whether it charges over USB-C, whether it works while charging, and how RGB affects battery life.
Hot-swappable does not mean universally compatible
Hot-swap sockets let you replace compatible mechanical switches without soldering. They do not accept every switch automatically, so check the supported switch style and pin configuration. Tom’s Guide described the Razer BlackWidow V4 as Razer’s first hot-swappable gaming keyboard and gave it a 4.5-star review; that score is the publication’s assessment, not an objective industry standard.
Check software and compatibility
Verify Windows and macOS support for the exact model. Configuration software may offer different functionality on macOS, Linux support may be limited, and onboard memory—when available—can determine whether lighting, macros, or actuation settings persist without software running.
How to judge whether a keyboard deal is genuinely good
- Identify the price reference. “Was” may mean MSRP, list price, recent price, typical street price, or a retailer’s comparison value. These are not equivalent.
- Match the exact variant. Check ANSI versus ISO, wired versus wireless, switch type, generation, color, and whether the product is fully assembled or barebones.
- Check the seller and return policy. Marketplace listings may have different warranties, shipping, and support from retailer-sold stock.
- Confirm included accessories. Look for the wireless receiver, charging cable, wrist rest, replacement parts, and receiver storage.
- Compare the feature you actually need. A 45% discount on a premium low-profile keyboard is not better value than a smaller discount on the layout and switch type you will use.
The 2025 roundups also mixed Black Friday, Cyber Week, and Cyber Monday. PC Gamer noted that deals began before December 1 and continued afterward, so the dates attached to these prices matter.

Tom’s Guide also reported the Gamakay LK75 at $58 from $69, the NuPhy Halo75 V2 at $103 from $139, the Razer BlackWidow V4 at $129.99 from $179.99, the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro at $189.99 from $249.99, and the SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL at $189.99 from $239.99.
PC Gamer listed the Gamakay x NaughShark NS68 at $46, the Logitech G Pro at $85 with a $36 saving, and the ASUS ROG Strix Scope II 96 at $130 with an $80 saving. These are historical figures, not current offers.

The Logitech Ergo K860 was documented at £59.99 in the UK. It should not be presented as a US Cyber Monday deal. An ergonomic keyboard may change posture or wrist position for some users, but it is not a guaranteed treatment or prevention for a medical condition.
Who should wait or choose something else?
- Wait for a different offer if the price is only marginally below the keyboard’s normal street price.
- Choose a numpad-friendly board if spreadsheets and numeric entry are central to your work.
- Choose a quiet scissor or membrane keyboard if you share a workspace.
- Avoid Hall-effect pricing if you will not use adjustable actuation or rapid trigger.
- Check Mac and Linux requirements before buying a board dependent on proprietary software.
- Be cautious when a discount appears alongside a newer generation, changed switch type, or a seller with limited support.
Bottom line by budget
- Under $40: Lemokey X1 for the lowest-cost mechanical entry, or Redragon K673 Pro if you specifically want a budget 75% layout.
- Around $70–$80: Keychron K2 V3 for general-purpose mechanical use, or Logitech MX Keys Mini for quiet office work.
- Around $125: HyperX Alloy Rise 75 for wireless gaming, or Meletrix Boog75 for Hall-effect features.
- Around $150–$190: Razer Huntsman V3 Pro TKL for competitive gaming, Corsair K100 Air Wireless for premium low-profile use, or SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL Gen 3 for premium TKL gaming.
