Colorful launched its EVOL P15 gaming-laptop series in India on September 20, 2023, with 12th-generation Intel processors, GeForce RTX 4050 or RTX 4060 graphics, and a 15.6-inch 165Hz display. The reported launch prices were ₹64,990 for the RTX 4050 model and ₹79,990 for the RTX 4060 model. Those are historical 2023 prices, not confirmed current offers.
Price and availability
At launch, the Core i5-12450H configuration with 16GB RAM, a 512GB SSD and RTX 4050 6GB was reported at ₹64,990. The Core i7-12650H model with the same memory and storage, plus RTX 4060 8GB, was reported at ₹79,990. Gizbot’s launch report gives these September 2023 prices; they should not be treated as current pricing.
Availability is uncertain. Later listing pages have shown different specifications and prices, with some marked out of stock. As of August 18, 2026, the available information does not establish a reliable current price for the original Indian 12th-generation models. Check an in-stock retailer listing and its warranty and return terms before considering a purchase.

Colorful’s launch announcement confirms the processor and graphics choices, QHD 165Hz display and G-SYNC support. The i5-12450H has 8 cores and 12 threads; the i7-12650H has 10 cores and 16 threads. The two configurations should not be conflated: the RTX 4060 was paired with the i7 in the reported launch lineup, while the lower-priced model used the i5 and RTX 4050.

What the 165Hz QHD screen means for gaming
A 165Hz panel can refresh up to 165 times per second, but that does not mean a game will run at 165 frames per second. Actual frame rates depend on the game, resolution, graphics settings, ray tracing, upscaling, GPU power limit, cooling and memory configuration.
QHD gives a sharper image than 1080p, but it also asks more of the graphics processor. The RTX 4060’s 8GB of VRAM makes that configuration the more suitable of the two for native QHD gaming. The RTX 4050’s 6GB model is better understood as an entry-level option: expect to lower settings or use upscaling in demanding games at the panel’s full resolution. No performance figures should be inferred without testing the exact laptop configuration.

G-SYNC support can help reduce visible tearing when the game’s frame rate varies. Color coverage is less clear-cut: launch-era listings report either 72% or 100% NTSC depending on configuration or source. Confirm the exact panel specification rather than assuming every P15 has the wider gamut.

The laptop was listed with a 180W power adapter. That describes the supplied power brick; it does not establish USB-C Power Delivery support, 180W USB-C charging, or the laptop’s continuous power draw. Nor does the adapter rating reveal the RTX GPU’s configured total graphics power (TGP), which affects performance. Battery life will vary with workload and display settings, and the 54Wh capacity alone is not enough to predict runtime.

Mind the EVOL P15 name and display discrepancy
EVOL P15 is a product name used for more than one specification. The original Indian launch lineup used 12th-generation processors, while Colorful’s current EVOL P15 product page lists a newer Core i7-13620H configuration and a display specified as 2560×1660, 165Hz and 100% sRGB. That page does not establish that those details apply to the 2023 Indian launch units; it may describe a later or different SKU. The QHD/2560×1440 figures in launch coverage and the later product-page resolution should not be silently treated as interchangeable.
Colorful also announced the larger EVOL P16, with a 16-inch display and versions described as 144Hz or 165Hz with G-SYNC compatibility. It is a related alternative, not another P15 configuration.

What to verify before buying a listed unit
- Get the complete model or SKU code, not just the EVOL P15 name.
- Confirm the processor, GPU model and VRAM directly on the seller’s specification sheet.
- Verify the panel’s resolution, refresh rate and color coverage for that exact SKU.
- Ask for the GPU TGP if it is not listed; the 180W adapter rating is not a substitute.
- Check that the listing is in stock and confirm the final price, warranty provider, return window and included adapter.
Verdict
On paper, the 2023 launch offered an appealing combination of a high-refresh QHD screen and RTX graphics at its reported prices, especially in the RTX 4060 configuration. In 2026, the older processors, uncertain stock and inconsistent listings make it a conditional buy rather than a straightforward recommendation. Consider one only if the exact SKU and warranty are clear and its verified price compares favorably with newer laptops available locally.
