Claro Brazil currently advertises Claro Sync with no additional monthly fee for eligible postpaid customers. The service lets a compatible LTE smartwatch share your phone’s number and mobile plan, so it can make calls and use data away from the phone. You still need an eligible Claro postpaid line, a supported phone and watch, and successful eSIM activation. The policy is specific to Brazil; Claro Sync pricing differs in other countries.
What Claro Sync does
Claro Sync connects a compatible cellular smartwatch to your existing Claro mobile line. The watch shares the phone’s number and plan, allowing calls, mobile data and supported apps to work when the watch is away from the phone’s Bluetooth connection, subject to Claro coverage. It is not a separate phone number or an independent data plan. Claro Brazil’s service page describes the shared-number setup and its use away from the phone.
What changed—and what “free” means
Claro Brazil’s current pages say Claro Sync has no additional monthly charge for eligible customers. The change is a pricing-policy shift, not the end of the service: customers still need a qualifying line, compatible cellular hardware and carrier activation. Historical Brazilian terms documented a separate recurring charge, while Brazilian coverage reported the fee’s removal in December 2024. Claro’s current pages confirm the no-additional-cost position, but do not clearly publish the exact effective date or explain whether every legacy customer was migrated automatically. Claro’s current FAQ and historical 2022 terms reflect the difference; the timing was reported by TudoCelular in December 2024.

Watch usage draws on the customer’s existing plan rather than creating a separate allowance. Claro Brazil also says the service is not compatible with international roaming, so do not assume the watch will have cellular service abroad. Claro’s service page states the plan-sharing and roaming limitations.

Who is eligible?
- You have an eligible individual Claro Brazil postpaid line. Current material does not establish eligibility for every prepaid, control or postpaid plan.
- Your watch has cellular/LTE capability and eSIM; a GPS-only model cannot connect to the mobile network.
- Your phone and watch combination, exact model and Brazilian-market variant are supported by Claro.
- Claro coverage is available where you intend to use the watch.
Claro describes a separate offer for business customers, including up to four Apple Watches on one mobile number. That business detail should not be assumed to apply to personal lines. Claro’s business page specifies that segment.
Which watches may work?
Apple Watch
Claro’s current guidance lists cellular versions from several generations, including Series 3 through Series 11, Apple Watch SE and SE 2022, SE 3, Ultra and Ultra 2. This is not a guarantee for every retail variant: confirm the exact model identifier and cellular capability before buying, because GPS and GPS + Cellular versions can look similar. Samsung Galaxy Watch
Claro lists LTE versions of Galaxy Watch, Active2, Watch 3, Watch 4 and 4 Classic, Watch 5 and 5 Pro, Watch 6 and 6 Classic, Watch 7, and Watch Ultra. A Galaxy Watch name alone does not establish cellular compatibility; check the exact supported variant. See Claro’s Samsung guidance.
Huawei and imported models
Claro Brazil links to Huawei activation guidance, but that does not establish that every Huawei LTE watch is supported. Verify the exact model on Claro’s Brazilian compatibility information before purchase. Imported watches also need to be supported in Brazil; general eSIM capability is not enough.

How to activate Claro Sync
Apple Watch
- On the paired iPhone, open the Watch app.
- Tap Celular, then Configurar celular.
- Tap Configurar celular again and wait for Claro’s login page.
- Enter the requested Claro credentials, review and accept the terms, then select Claro Sync and continue.
- Wait for the activation confirmation SMS. Claro’s documented flow requires a GPS + Cellular Apple Watch, not a GPS-only model.
The menu names may vary with iOS version and language. The steps above follow Claro’s Apple Watch instructions.
Samsung Galaxy Watch
- Obtain the Claro eSIM activation information or QR code through Claro.
- Open Galaxy Wearable on the paired phone.
- Choose Redes Móveis, then Configurar um Plano Móvel.
- Select Usar código and scan the Claro eSIM QR code.
- Tap Usar plano, then Concluir.
Menu names can differ by software, phone language and watch model. Follow Claro’s Samsung activation guide if your screens differ.

If Claro Sync is still on your bill
Current public information does not say whether every customer who previously paid was moved automatically, whether the next bill should reflect a change, or whether past charges qualify for a refund. Do not assume a credit or cancel a working service before confirming how your account is handled.
- Check your latest invoice for a separate Claro Sync line item and compare it with earlier bills.
- Contact Claro on 1052 and ask what exact service or billing code the charge represents, and whether your plan qualifies for the no-additional-cost offer.
- Ask whether a correction or credit applies to your account, and request a service protocol number.
- If the charge is for a watch you intended to cancel, confirm that the carrier-side service record has ended; removing the watch’s eSIM alone may not do that.
Charges can also relate to a different Claro country, a business arrangement, another watch or a legacy account configuration. Claro must identify the specific line item for your account.

How to cancel
Apple Watch
- Open the iPhone’s Watch app and tap Celular.
- Select Claro Brasil and sign in if prompted.
- Tap Cancelar, then Fechar.

Samsung Galaxy Watch
- First request cancellation through Claro on 1052.
- Then in Galaxy Wearable, go to Configurações do Relógio > Planos Móveis > Ligado > Ok > Remover plano > Remover.
Removing the plan from the watch is not a substitute for cancelling the carrier-side service. Claro’s FAQ says that support may need the watch’s ICCID when multiple watches are active.
Common setup problems
- The watch has no cellular option: Check that it is the LTE/cellular variant, not GPS-only, and that its exact model is supported.
- Activation completes but data or calls fail: Confirm the eSIM profile is active, the line is eligible, network settings are enabled and Claro coverage is available at the test location. If calls fail, ask Claro whether VoLTE support is available for your device and line.
- You changed iPhones: Claro says an Apple Watch may need to be unpaired from the previous iPhone and paired with the new one before cellular service works correctly. Do not assume an iPhone backup transfers the carrier profile. See Claro’s Apple Watch guidance.
- You expect it to work abroad: Claro Brazil states that Claro Sync is not currently compatible with international roaming.
Claro Sync pricing is country-specific
These terms describe Claro Brazil, not every Claro operation. For example, Claro Colombia’s current page lists a recurring charge of COP $15,000 per smartwatch per month and describes a two-month introductory promotion in some cases. Is a cellular watch worth using with Claro?
The fee change is most useful if you already have a supported LTE watch and often leave your phone behind—for a run, workout, commute or short errand—and want calls or apps to remain available. It is less compelling if you nearly always carry your phone, own a GPS-only watch, depend on an unsupported imported model, or primarily want connectivity while traveling internationally. The service still depends on an eligible Claro postpaid line, compatible devices, eSIM provisioning and network coverage; it is not standalone smartwatch service.
