LMS-triggered issuance
A learner completes a course or assessment in an LMS and the credential is created automatically. Verify the exact LMS connector, whether it is native or supplied through a connector service, and which subscription includes it. A vendor saying “LMS integrations” does not establish that your edition is supported.
CRM, form or assessment automation
Training providers often need a CRM deal stage, registration form, exam result or membership status to trigger issuance. Confirm the field mapping, duplicate handling and error notifications before relying on unattended automation.
API or custom integration
An API is appropriate when your application is the system of record, when credentials must be issued in real time, or when you need custom approval and reissue logic. Ask for authentication details, rate limits, webhook behavior, test environments and a documented way to revoke or correct an issued credential.
Mixed operation
Many programs automate the normal path and retain a spreadsheet or administrator workflow for exceptions. Evaluate that exception path explicitly: a system that is fast for first issuance can still be difficult when a learner changes their name or a completion record is disputed.

Certifier: what is documented
Certifier describes bulk personalized digital certificates delivered by email or downloaded as PDF or CSV. Its product page lists dynamic document attributes, QR codes, customizable email text and branding, multiple email templates, and integrations with LMS, CRM and form tools. These are vendor-described capabilities, not independently tested results.

Do not compare a monthly headline price with a per-credential quote until the units match. Build a 12-month estimate containing:
- Number of unique recipients.
- Average and maximum credentials per recipient.
- Renewals and recurring credentials.

- Name the source system. Record the exact LMS, CRM, assessment platform, form tool or custom application, including edition and region.
- Check the connector directory. Look for a named integration, not a general “integrations” statement. Note whether it is native, Zapier-based or custom.
- Trace the trigger. Confirm which event starts issuance, which fields are transferred and whether an administrator must approve the credential.
- Test exceptions. Deliberately send a duplicate completion, missing email, changed surname and failed API request. Record the resulting alert and recovery process.
- Confirm plan gating. Ask whether the connector, API, branded domain, webhook or bulk limit is included in the plan you are pricing.

Ask who can revoke a credential, what a verifier sees afterward, whether actions are logged and how exports identify the affected recipient. This matters as much as first issuance when credentials support employment, licensing or continuing education.
