Yes, AI can shape music around a mood in real time, but the available evidence supports a specific kind of control: you describe a scene or choose a starting instrument, then adjust musical layers while an instrumental set keeps playing. It does not establish that an app can read your emotions automatically from your face, voice, activity, or listening history. These are suggestions for using the available controls, not claims that Murmur has dedicated “reflective” or “active” modes.
- Change one layer at a time. If the result feels too busy, try reducing a rhythmic layer; if it feels too bare, bring another layer in. Since the music continues while layers change, you can make gradual adjustments as the scene or your preference shifts.

What A Budget-Conscious iPhone User Gets
Murmur has a free plan with core presets and unlimited generations at a fixed track length, according to its site. The directory describes it as free to download with no subscription, and says Pro features require a separate one-time purchase. No Pro price is established here, so check the vendor’s site before buying. The site also says generation happens on-device, works offline, and needs no cloud connection after the model download. The product directory identifies it as iOS-only, so it is not an option to assume will work on an Android phone.
