How to choose a useful bark-alert camera

1. Match the alert to the job. If you need to know when barking happens, prioritize bark-specific notifications and clips. If you want to interact, check for two-way audio or treat tossing.
2. Verify the plan boundary. Ask which functions work without a subscription: live view, bark notification, event clips, continuous recording and history can each have different requirements.
3. Check room coverage. A rotating camera can cover more of one room, but furniture creates blind spots. A fixed wide-angle view may be enough if the dog stays in one place; monitoring separate rooms may require another camera.
4. Think about sound and placement. A microphone near a television, window, HVAC vent or loud appliance may hear competing sounds. Keep it unobstructed and test from the dog’s usual resting and barking spots.
