The displayed discounts were 69%, 75%, and 69%, respectively.
The “up to 77%” figure is supported by NordVPN’s historical 2025 Black Friday promotion, where it applied to Prime—not every plan. Buy now if you need a VPN before November; wait if you can comfortably hold out for a possible Black Friday price.

Is the 77% discount live?
Not based on the verified official offer available on August 18, 2026. The 77% claim refers to NordVPN’s 2025 Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotion. That historical offer listed Prime at $6.89 per month, or $186.03 for the first 27 months, including three additional months.
Calling the current August promotion a confirmed Black Friday 2026 deal would be misleading. NordVPN may launch another promotion later, but the final percentage could differ by plan, term, country, customer type, or checkout channel. A banner on an old or affiliate page is not enough: confirm the final price on NordVPN’s checkout page.
What “up to 77% off” means
“Up to” identifies the maximum discount, not a discount applied uniformly to every tier. In the historical 2025 promotion, the displayed discounts were:

The historical lineup and prices are not the same as the current 2026 lineup. Do not combine the old plan names or prices with today’s offer. NordVPN says promotional savings can be calculated against the current monthly price of the annual renewal and can include the value of bonus months, so the headline percentage is less useful than the total upfront charge.
Which NordVPN plan should you choose?
Basic: best for VPN-only use
Choose Basic if your main requirement is a VPN with core security features and basic scam or phishing protection. It is the sensible choice for readers who do not need password management, cloud storage, or identity-protection services.

What happens after the introductory term?
NordVPN subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel. The renewal charge is based on the then-current price, which can be substantially higher than the introductory rate and can change over time. The prices shown above—$139.08 for Basic, $219.48 for Complete, and $296.28 for Prime—were renewal signals displayed on August 18, 2026, not guaranteed future prices.
For subscriptions longer than one month, NordVPN says it sends a notification email before processing the renewal charge. Save the purchase confirmation and renewal date anyway. If you cancel auto-renewal through your Nord Account, access normally continues through the paid period.

NordVPN advertises a 30-day money-back guarantee for new subscriptions. This is a paid subscription with a refund option, not necessarily a no-card free trial. Refund requests should be made through NordVPN support within 30 days of the initial purchase. The standard policy generally does not cover renewal payments.
Read the current NordVPN money-back policy for applicable conditions and local-law exceptions. If you are testing the service, set a reminder before the 30-day window ends.
How to claim the deal safely
- Open the official NordVPN pricing page.
- Select the plan and subscription length that match your needs.
- Check the exact currency, tax, total upfront charge, bonus months, and renewal price at checkout.
- Remove unwanted add-ons. A dedicated IP, for example, may cost extra.

Important limitations
A VPN encrypts traffic between your device and the VPN server and can reduce exposure on local networks. It does not make you completely anonymous or protect against every online threat; it also shifts some trust to the VPN provider. Avoid treating bundled scam blocking, monitoring, or insurance as a replacement for safe account practices.
Streaming compatibility can change as services block VPN addresses. NordVPN should not be purchased on a guarantee that it will always unlock a particular catalog. Identity-protection and insurance features may have geographic limits, exclusions, coverage caps, and separate terms.

The current NordVPN offer is real, but the 77% Black Friday 2026 claim is not confirmed as of the August 18, 2026 price check. Choose Basic for VPN-only needs, Complete for a broader bundle you will actually use, and Prime only when its identity-protection benefits justify the higher cost. Buy now if you need coverage; wait if you are purely price-sensitive and can wait until November.
