True battery cases for the iPhone 13 are now uncommon. If you have the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro and specifically want a case with a built-in battery, the NEWDERY 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Case is the clearest currently verifiable option. However, most people should buy a MagSafe-compatible case and a reputable detachable battery pack instead: the setup is more flexible, easier to replace, and usually better suited to 2026 charging habits.

These capacities are manufacturer ratings, not measurements of energy delivered to the iPhone. Wireless charging, heat and conversion losses reduce the usable amount.
What counts as an iPhone battery case?
A battery case combines a protective shell and rechargeable battery in one permanently attached accessory. The phone slides into the case and receives power through its connector or the case’s charging system.
That is different from:
- MagSafe battery pack: a detachable battery that magnetically attaches to the phone or a compatible case.
- MagSafe case plus battery pack: a two-piece setup that provides protection and removable backup power.
- Wired power bank: a separate battery connected by cable, generally offering the best value and fastest charging.
Many current “iPhone 13 battery case” lists mix these categories. That is misleading if you specifically want a case with a built-in battery. The market has shifted toward detachable magnetic packs, which are more flexible and often offer greater capacity. Macworld’s current category coverage also reflects that shift.

The NEWDERY 10,000mAh Wireless Battery Case is the strongest currently verifiable answer for the standard iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro.
What the manufacturer lists
- Compatibility with the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, along with certain iPhone 14 models.
- 10,000mAh battery capacity.
- Qi wireless charging and wired charging.
- Listed 5V/1A output and 5V/1.5A input.
- Lightning data synchronization and wired-earphone support.
- Apple Pay support.
- Approximately 7.05 ounces and 5.98 × 3.04 × 0.98 inches.
- A 12-month warranty and 30-day return service on the product page.
The manufacturer also says it does not support magnetic charging or fast charging. “Wireless charging” here means Qi charging; it does not mean MagSafe attachment.
Why it may work for you
The battery is always with the phone, so there is no separate pack to remember or keep aligned while walking. It can also provide some physical protection and preserve access to wired accessories if the ports and cutouts fit your equipment.

A case nearly an inch thick is a major pocket, grip and car-mount compromise. The listed 5V/1A output is slow by modern standards, and charging while gaming, navigating, recording video or using 5G may create substantial heat. The 10,000mAh figure is a manufacturer specification, not an independently measured usable capacity. The dossier provides no independent testing of its efficiency, temperature, runtime or long-term reliability.

Buy it only from a seller with a clear return policy. Check the fit immediately, including the camera cutout, Lightning connector, buttons, speakers and any wired accessories.
Best Apple-integrated alternative: Apple MagSafe Battery Pack
Apple’s technical documentation confirms MagSafe Battery Pack compatibility with the iPhone 13 family. It is a detachable accessory rather than a battery case, but it offers the cleanest iOS integration: the iPhone can display battery information through its normal battery interface and widgets.
Apple reports up to 70% additional charge for the iPhone 13 mini under its stated test conditions. That is not a universal promise; results vary with temperature, battery condition, software, usage and charging losses. Do not apply that figure to every iPhone 13 model.
The main problem in 2026 is availability. Apple’s support documentation proves technical compatibility, not current stock, price or warranty coverage. The pack also uses an older Lightning-based design and has less nominal capacity than many third-party 5,000mAh and 10,000mAh magnetic packs. If buying used or from clearance stock, verify the model, authenticity, physical condition, battery health, functioning Lightning port and return rights.

Apple’s current iPhone 13 accessory listings are useful for checking the present accessory ecosystem, but should not be treated as proof that the battery pack remains routinely available.
Best high-capacity alternative: Anker MagGo
Anker’s iPhone 13 portable-charger collection includes magnetic products such as the MagGo Power Bank 10K Slim, MagGo Power Bank 10K, Anker 621, Anker 622 and Anker 633.
The 10K models are the more practical choice for heavy users who want more capacity than Apple’s pack provides. The 621 is a smaller, more portable option, while the 622 adds a stand. These are detachable battery packs, not protective cases, so you will need a MagSafe-compatible case if your existing case does not provide a strong magnetic ring.
Prices and stock change frequently. Prices seen on Anker’s U.S. collection page during research ranged from about $42.99 for the Anker 621 to approximately $79.86 for the 10K Slim; treat those as dated price observations, not current guarantees. Confirm the exact model’s dimensions, weight, charging standard, port, warranty and included accessories before buying.

Model-by-model buying advice
iPhone 13 mini
Do not buy a 6.1-inch iPhone 13 or 13 Pro battery case for the mini. It will not fit correctly. Look specifically for an iPhone 13 mini case, or use a compact magnetic pack whose width does not overhang the phone. Apple’s documented up-to-70% figure applies specifically to the mini under Apple’s test conditions. A small wired power bank may be the better choice if capacity per dollar matters more than cable-free use.
iPhone 13
The NEWDERY 10,000mAh case is listed for this model, but expect considerable thickness and slow charging. For most owners, a MagSafe case plus a detachable pack is the more adaptable choice.
iPhone 13 Pro
The same NEWDERY product is listed for the 6.1-inch iPhone 13 Pro. Check the camera cutout carefully: a case can share the display-size category while still fitting the Pro camera module poorly.

The Pro Max requires a dedicated 6.7-inch design. It cannot use the standard iPhone 13/13 Pro case. NEWDERY lists a separate 6.7-inch battery-case product, but its grouped compatibility list requires careful model verification. Treat it as a separate product, not evidence that the 6.1-inch case fits.

How much extra battery will you get?
Do not convert a 10,000mAh label directly into “two full charges.” Battery packs are rated at their internal battery voltage, while the iPhone charges at a different voltage. Conversion electronics, wireless charging losses, cable losses, heat and the phone’s battery condition all reduce delivered energy.
Similarly, claims such as “200% extra battery” are vendor marketing claims, not independent runtime measurements. A fair comparison requires measured usable output under repeatable conditions. No such independent measurements are established for the NEWDERY case here.
Compatibility and safety checklist
- Identify the exact model: mini, standard 13, 13 Pro or Pro Max.
- Check the camera cutout: especially when a case claims to fit both the 13 and 13 Pro.
- Confirm the charging method: Qi wireless charging is not magnetic MagSafe attachment.
- Check output speed: pay particular attention to products limited to 5V/1A.
- Test all ports: verify Lightning charging, data synchronization, CarPlay and wired headphones if relevant.
- Use a proper MagSafe case: a thick or non-magnetic case can weaken attachment and alignment.
- Watch for heat: avoid charging while demanding apps are running if the phone or pack becomes unusually hot.
- Check returns and warranty: especially for lesser-known or discontinued products.
- Inspect used products: reject anything swollen, damaged, counterfeit or lacking meaningful return protection.
- Check airline rules: a manufacturer’s air-travel statement is not a universal airline-policy guarantee.
What we would buy
Choose the NEWDERY case only if your highest priority is having the battery physically integrated into a protective shell and you accept its thickness, slow listed output and uncertain independent performance.

For most iPhone 13 owners, buy a strong MagSafe-compatible case and a reputable magnetic pack. Choose Apple’s pack when iOS integration and compactness matter more than capacity and you can verify authenticity and price. Choose an Anker MagGo 10K when you want more reserve power and can tolerate extra bulk. If speed and value matter most, use a wired power bank.
