Belkin’s SoundForm ANC Wired Earbuds put active noise cancellation in a wired USB-C headset with no internal rechargeable battery and no Bluetooth pairing. The connected phone, tablet or computer supplies the power—but it must support USB-C digital audio. Belkin listed the earbuds at $29.99 in the US on August 18, 2026; the product page also showed an “email me when in stock” notice, so check availability and checkout price.
What the Belkin SoundForm ANC earbuds are
The SoundForm ANC Wired Earbuds (USB-C), model family G3H0003, are in-ear headphones with a cable rather than wireless earbuds with a charging case. Belkin sells black and white versions. The listed package includes small, medium and large silicone ear tips, and the headset has 12mm dynamic drivers, a built-in microphone and inline controls.
Belkin’s current US listing shows a price of $29.99 as of August 18, 2026. Launch coverage in 2025 reported an expected price of $34.99 and an October launch window; that was the launch-time price, not the price on Belkin’s later US listing. How ANC works without a battery in the earbuds
“Battery-free” means there is no rechargeable battery inside the earbuds—not that the electronics run without power. The USB-C connection carries digital audio and draws operating power from the connected device. That power runs the headset’s electronics, including its active noise cancellation and controls. There is no earbud charging routine or Bluetooth pairing step, but the host device may use more battery than it would with passive wired headphones.

ANC is different from the sound-blocking effect of a snug ear tip. The tips provide passive isolation; active cancellation uses microphones and electronics to reduce some surrounding sound. Belkin also provides a Hear-Through mode that lets outside sound in. The available specifications confirm that ANC is included, but do not give independent measurements of its effectiveness against particular sounds. Treat it as an ANC feature, not evidence of premium or proven noise-cancelling performance.
The compatibility catch: USB-C must carry audio
A USB-C-shaped port is not, by itself, a guarantee these earbuds will work. The host device must support USB-C digital audio. Belkin’s support FAQ explains the requirement and says Bluetooth is not needed. Its current product page’s reference to Bluetooth-enabled devices is confusing; the more specific FAQ describes the wired connection and USB-C audio requirement.

Belkin lists or identifies tested device families including iPhone 15 and 16 models, USB-C iPads, various MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, and Samsung Galaxy S24 and S25 phones. Its US listing also names newer products such as iPhone 17e, Galaxy S26 models, iPad Air M4 and M5 MacBooks. Regional lists are not perfectly synchronized, so these examples should not be read as a guarantee for every model. Check Belkin’s compatibility FAQ and verify the exact device before buying.

- Confirm the device has USB-C and supports digital audio output over that port.
- Check whether your device requires a specific USB-C audio adapter or accessory.
- For a laptop, confirm the headset appears as an audio output and microphone input.
- Make sure a case, port protector, hub or dock will not prevent the plug from seating fully.
- Do not assume a USB-C-to-3.5mm adapter will work: these earbuds are designed for USB-C digital audio, and adapter compatibility must be checked.
Features and specifications
- ANC and Hear-Through: switched from the inline control unit, according to Belkin.
- Sound presets: Bass Boost, Balanced and Belkin Signature Sound.
- Inline controls and microphone: Belkin says the controls handle playback, track skipping, volume, calls and ANC/Hear-Through. The microphone is described as having environmental-noise reduction. Button behavior and microphone routing can vary by device, operating system and app.
- Hi-Res Audio: Belkin specifies support up to 24-bit/96kHz when the connected device and app support it; the label does not mean every source will play at that resolution.
- Cable: 1.2 metres (about four feet), flat and described by Belkin as tangle-resistant. It is part of the headset rather than a detachable accessory.
- Water resistance: IPX5. Belkin describes the earbuds as water- and sweat-resistant. This is not a waterproofing or swimming rating.
- Warranty: Belkin states a two-year warranty, including the cable.
Belkin says the headset works with common conferencing apps such as Zoom and Teams on supported USB-C audio devices. For a call, check that the meeting app has microphone permission and has selected the headset as its input.

What you gain—and what you give up
The main appeal is simple: no charging case, no pairing, and no earbud battery to lose capacity with age. That can suit a desk drawer, school bag or travel kit, especially if wireless earbuds are often out of charge when needed. A cable also avoids Bluetooth connection and pairing issues, and moving between devices is as simple as moving the plug—provided each device supports USB-C audio.
The trade-off is the cable itself. It can snag on clothing or an armrest, transmit rubbing noise, and limit movement during exercise. The integrated cable and inline control box are also physical parts that can wear or be damaged; because the cable is non-detachable, damage may mean replacing the headset. Belkin calls it tangle-resistant, not indestructible.

The host device powers the active electronics, so using ANC for hours may draw more power from a phone or tablet than passive wired earbuds would. And these are not a solution for every connection: they do not have a 3.5mm plug, and an adapter’s ability to carry the necessary digital audio must be verified.

They make the most sense for someone who wants inexpensive, wired ANC and has confirmed USB-C audio support—such as a student, office worker or traveler who prefers not to charge or pair a headset. They could also work as a backup set for a compatible laptop or phone, although their ANC performance should not be assumed to match a premium headset without independent testing.

Skip them if you need wireless freedom for workouts or walking away from your device, rely on a 3.5mm analog jack, cannot verify USB-C audio support, or want noise cancellation backed by measured comparisons. If noise cancellation is not important, Belkin’s comparison page lists a basic USB-C wired model at $19.99; if avoiding cables matters more, a wireless ANC set may be a better fit, with charging as the trade-off. Those comparison prices and availability can change.
If something does not work
No sound
- Unplug and reconnect the earbuds, ensuring the USB-C plug is fully seated.
- Select the USB-C headset in the device’s sound-output menu, then test another audio app.
- Temporarily remove the case and bypass any hub or dock.
- Try a device known to support USB-C digital audio. If it works there, check the original device’s audio support and settings.
ANC, Hear-Through or microphone controls do not behave as expected
Try the inline control again while audio is playing, and test on another compatible host. For calls, check microphone permissions and select the headset as the input in both the operating system and conferencing app. The headset does not need a separate charge for ANC: it is designed to receive operating power through USB-C.
Belkin’s support FAQ covers the USB-C audio requirement, controls and listed device families. The key buying decision remains compatibility: these earbuds avoid charging their own battery, but they still depend on a suitable, powered USB-C audio connection.
