No—not as a general current offer. The three games were included with Netflix Games when they launched on December 14, 2023, but reports say GTA III and Vice City left in December 2024 and San Andreas followed in December 2025. As of August 2026, the headline is historical, not a reliable promise of access. Availability can still vary by country and catalog, so check your own Netflix app.
What Netflix originally included
Netflix announced mobile versions of Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition for December 14, 2023. They were offered through Netflix Games on mobile, with installation handled through the Netflix app and the iOS App Store or Google Play. Netflix’s launch announcement describes the mobile release.
These were the mobile Definitive Edition versions, not Netflix access to the original 2001–2004 console releases or to the console and PC collection. Rockstar describes the Definitive Edition collection as having updated lighting and environmental effects, higher-resolution textures, greater draw distances, and modernized controls. These dates come from reporting on Netflix Games catalog changes, rather than a universal, permanent archive of every regional catalog. The reported departures of GTA III and Vice City came first; San Andreas was reported to leave later. Catalogs can differ by territory and change, so an exception in a particular market cannot be ruled out. But readers should not expect all three to be included now.

What “free on Netflix” meant
“Free” meant no separate game purchase while the title was included in Netflix Games. It did not mean the games were free to everyone or that subscribers permanently owned them. An active Netflix membership and a compatible mobile device were needed; access could also end if the subscription lapsed, a title left the catalog, regional availability changed, or the device no longer met the game’s requirements.
Downloading a game while it was available does not prove that you still have a lasting entitlement. After a title leaves a subscription catalog, whether an old installation launches can depend on its account checks, platform, and app version. Do not treat a previously downloaded Netflix copy as a permanent purchase, and do not assume saved progress will transfer to a paid copy.

Can you still get them through Netflix?
Open the Netflix app and check its Games section in your own market. If a game is absent, confirm that the app and device are supported and that you are using the right account—but keep in mind that the reported removals are the likely explanation. During the Netflix offer, the general path was to choose a game in Netflix’s mobile Games section, install it through the app store, then launch it with the Netflix account tied to an active membership. That is a historical path, not a guaranteed current download route.
The Netflix announcement covered mobile distribution; it did not provide console or PC access. Changing an app-store region or reinstalling Netflix is not a legitimate way to restore a catalog license. The paid listings and Netflix entitlement are separate routes.

Ways to play the games now
- Want one game on a phone or tablet? Look for its paid mobile edition in the Apple App Store, Google Play, or, where supported, the Amazon Appstore. Store availability, device compatibility, edition, and price vary by region. Launch-period reporting put the individual mobile releases at $20 each, but that is not a confirmed current universal price; check the live listing before buying. Contemporary coverage of the launch reported both the Netflix inclusion and launch-era price.
- Want all three on a console or PC? Consider Rockstar’s paid Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition collection, or check the storefront for your platform. This is a separate purchase from the former Netflix mobile access. A mobile purchase does not automatically unlock a console or PC copy. Rockstar notes that PC installation and activation require its account and launcher components, internet access for activation, and periodic entitlement verification.
- Already have GTA+? Check the current GTA+ benefits and Games Library before relying on it. The service offers a rotating library, so inclusion and platform eligibility can change; do not subscribe on the assumption that it includes all three games.

Check compatibility before buying
Store listings can remain visible even when an older device or operating system is unsupported. Rockstar’s mobile support information says its Apple iOS titles require iOS 17 or later for continued updates and support as of July 24, 2026; requirements can change, so check Rockstar Support and the relevant store listing for your device before paying. Android requirements also depend on the specific listing and device.
Finally, treat each purchase as platform-specific unless the seller explicitly says otherwise. A Netflix subscription, mobile app purchase, GTA+ membership, and console or PC collection are distinct entitlements. Access to one does not automatically carry over to the others.
