The $65 Apple AirTag four-pack deal was reported in October 2025, but it is not verified as live now. At that price, the pack cost $16.25 per tracker—about $34, or 34%, below Apple’s $99 list price. Apple’s current listing is for the second-generation AirTag four-pack at $99, so check the exact model and checkout price before buying.
AirTag four-pack deal: the price and what it means
Engadget reported the $65 price on October 27, 2025, describing it as a record-low offer at the time. That price works out to $16.25 per AirTag. Against the $99 list price, the saving is $34, or about 34.3%. Engadget’s dated deal report is historical, not proof that the offer remains available.
Apple currently lists a second-generation four-pack for $99. Best Buy and Walmart also list the second-generation 2026 pack around that price in the supplied retailer listings. The older $65 deal coverage concerns an earlier generation, so do not assume a listing for the current model is discounted—or that an old deal link points to the same product. Confirm generation, seller and total at checkout.

At $65, the bundle was compelling if you needed several trackers. At $99, the four-pack still costs $17 less than four $29 individual units, but that saving matters only if you will use most of them.

Should you buy the four-pack?
- Buy at about $65 if you use an iPhone and have four items—or a household’s worth of items—to track. It is a strong per-unit price compared with Apple’s list price.
- Consider it around $75 if you can put all four to use; the value falls if trackers will sit unused.
- At $99, buy if you specifically want four AirTags or the current generation. If you need only one tracker, Apple lists a single AirTag at $29.
- Wait or compare alternatives if the price is above $99, you use Android as your main phone, or you need standalone GPS tracking.
Before ordering, make sure the listing identifies the generation you want. The current Apple page is for the second-generation model; a discounted older-generation listing may be a different product. On a marketplace listing, check that the seller is Apple or the retailer itself rather than an unfamiliar third party.
What AirTags do—and what they do not
An AirTag is a Bluetooth item finder that appears in Apple’s Find My app. You can ask it to play a sound when it is nearby. When it is out of Bluetooth range, its location may be relayed by nearby Apple devices participating in the Find My network. It is not a standalone GPS tracker: it has no promise of continuous, real-time location updates, and updates can be delayed or absent where there are no participating devices nearby. You may see only its last known location.

That makes AirTags useful for items such as keys, a wallet, a backpack or checked luggage, but not a guarantee that an airline will recover a bag. Precision Finding can provide directional guidance at close range on compatible Apple hardware; it is a nearby-finding feature, not a live GPS map. Verify that your particular iPhone supports the feature you want.
Compatibility: check your device first
Apple’s current second-generation four-pack listing requires an Apple Account and an iPhone running iOS 26.0 or later, or an iPad running iPadOS 26.0 or later. Check Apple’s current product page for requirements before purchasing, especially if you use an older device.

AirTags are not a full-featured tracker choice for Android-only users: Android phones cannot pair and manage them through Apple’s Find My experience. Android devices may help detect an unknown AirTag and can read owner information presented through NFC, but that is not the same as tracking your own items. For Galaxy users, a tracker built for Samsung’s ecosystem is a more natural fit; mixed-device households should compare cross-platform options and their respective finding networks.
What comes in the box—and the extra cost to plan for
The four-pack contains four AirTag units. It does not normally include key rings, luggage loops, wallet holders or adhesive mounts. AirTags have no built-in key-ring hole, so attaching one to keys or a bag usually means buying a holder separately. Factor that accessory cost into the deal, particularly if you need four holders.

The current second-generation listing describes a replaceable battery with more than a year of life. Batteries eventually need replacing, even though AirTags do not require a tracking subscription. Check the exact product’s specifications for battery type and other details rather than assuming that every generation has identical specifications.

Limitations and privacy
- Network dependence: Location updates rely on nearby participating Apple devices when the AirTag is away from your own phone.
- Not for continuous tracking: It is designed to help locate belongings, not to monitor a person or vehicle.
- Anti-stalking protections: AirTags include protections that can alert people when an unknown AirTag appears to be traveling with them. Do not treat one as an invisible tracker.
- Battery and holders: Plan for eventual battery replacement and any attachment accessories your items require.
For the older generation, Engadget characterized the $65 offer as a record-low deal at the time. That is useful historical context, not a guarantee about today’s lowest price. The current model and live retailer checkout price are the deciding details.
