Matthew AI appears to be a legitimate AI dating-and-relationship coaching service from 320 Media LLC, the company associated with Matthew Hussey—but it is not a live conversation with Matthew Hussey. It provides text and voice responses shaped around the company’s description of his coaching material. It may be useful for quick message drafting, sorting through mixed signals, and thinking about boundaries. It is not a substitute for therapy, crisis support, professional relationship counseling, or a human coach.
The sensible approach is to use the free sample first, then subscribe only if its responses add value beyond a trusted friend or general-purpose AI. The main risks are recurring billing, the current no-refund position, and the amount of sensitive relationship information you may be tempted to share.
What is Matthew AI?
Matthew AI is a branded web-based AI coaching tool for dating and relationship questions. According to the company’s official product page, it offers unlimited text and voice access and is designed around Matthew Hussey’s published and recorded coaching material.

You can ask questions such as:
- “Should I send a follow-up after a date?”
- “How should I respond if someone says they are not ready for a relationship?”
- “What should I say after being ghosted?”
- “How do I contact an ex without over-pursuing?”
- “Is repeated last-minute cancellation a pattern I should address?”
- “How can I express interest while maintaining my boundaries?”
The important distinction is that the answers are AI-generated. Matthew Hussey’s name and coaching framework may shape the product, but there is no reason to assume that Matthew personally reads or answers individual chats.

The company has used different volume claims on promotional pages, including references to more than 200,000 and more than 6 million questions. Those figures have changed across pages and should not be treated as a stable technical specification or evidence that the service produces reliable outcomes.
Matthew AI is not the same as Sync
Readers may also encounter Sync by Matthew Hussey. It is a separate product positioned as an AI matchmaker and relationship coach. Sync uses concepts such as a “SoulPrint” and compatibility-oriented “SoulScores” to surface potential matches and enable chats between users.
Matthew AI is primarily a one-to-one coaching interface: you bring a dating situation, and it responds. Sync is oriented toward matchmaking as well as coaching. Reviews of Sync in the App Store—including complaints about repetitive questions, technical issues, and limited matches—should not be treated as direct evidence about the quality of standalone Matthew AI.
How useful is the advice?
The strongest case for Matthew AI is speed. It can help turn an emotionally messy situation into a concrete decision: send one message, ask a direct question, pause contact, or set a boundary. A dating-specific interface may also be more convenient than explaining the same context to a general-purpose chatbot.
However, a specific-sounding answer is not necessarily a genuinely personalized or accurate one. The meaningful questions are whether the service:

- Remembers relevant facts within the conversation.
- Adapts when an important detail changes.
- Distinguishes a first date from an established relationship or an unsafe one.
- Offers options instead of presenting one interpretation as certain.
- Separates observable behavior from guesses about another person’s motives.
- Encourages direct communication and reasonable boundaries.
- Recognizes when the situation requires human or emergency support.
Good dating advice should say, for example, that repeated cancellations may indicate low interest, poor reliability, or circumstances you do not know about—and that the pattern matters more than one message. It should help you decide what behavior you will accept without pretending to know another person’s thoughts.
Be cautious if an answer confidently labels someone “avoidant,” “narcissistic,” or “definitely uninterested” based on a few texts. Advice that encourages repeated messaging, manipulation, or tactics designed to make someone “chase” you is another warning sign. Emotional reassurance can feel helpful while still reinforcing rumination or a preferred interpretation.
No independent clinical validation, audited accuracy study, controlled relationship-outcome study, or third-party evidence establishing that Matthew AI improves dating results was identified in the available material. The company’s product claims should therefore be read as marketing and positioning, not proof that the service “works” for a typical user.
Who should try it?
Matthew AI may suit you if you:
- Want immediate help drafting or revising a dating message.
- Prefer Matthew Hussey’s direct, self-worth-focused coaching style.
- Want structured reflection before acting on an emotional impulse.
- Need occasional guidance outside normal coaching hours.
- Understand that the tool offers suggestions, not certainty.
It is a poorer fit if you:
- Need treatment for anxiety, depression, trauma, or obsessive relationship behavior.
- Want a therapist, counselor, or accountable human coach.
- Expect guaranteed dating success or matchmaking.
- Dislike storing intimate conversations with a commercial service.
- Will use it only once or twice but are unwilling to risk a recurring charge.
The company’s terms describe its services as educational and informational. They disclaim medical, legal, financial, and licensed therapeutic advice, do not guarantee outcomes, and limit responsibility for what happens after users act on suggestions.

Standalone Matthew AI
The official sales page currently displays $39 per month for unlimited text and voice access and the latest insights. Prices and promotions can change, so confirm the total, billing interval, taxes, and renewal terms at checkout.

The service has also offered limited-time introductory deals. For example, a dated December promotional page advertised a first month at $7 followed by the regular $39 monthly price. That promotion should not be assumed to be available now.
The free-access page offers three text questions or a three-minute voice call. Use that opportunity before paying rather than treating the sales page’s examples as evidence of answer quality.
Annual Love Life Club option
The annual option is not simply twelve separately priced AI months. The sales page presents it as an annual Love Life Club membership that includes Matthew AI and other club features, and advertises the club access as an $840 value. The exact checkout total should be confirmed before purchase because the terms describe the annual choice as a Love Life Club membership.
Love Life Coaching Program
The separate Love Life Coaching Program page displays $69.95 per month with monthly billing, or $33 per month billed annually. It includes Matthew AI alongside weekly live coaching, on-demand courses, community features, and events.
That larger membership may make sense for someone who will attend live sessions and use the courses and community. It is poor value for someone who only wants occasional help writing a message. Do not pay for features you are unlikely to use simply because the bundled value sounds large.

Privacy: treat your conversations as sensitive
Dating questions can contain sexual history, mental-health-adjacent information, names, screenshots, relationship conflicts, and identifying details about other people. Matthew AI’s privacy explanation says the service collects account, contact, technical, device, browsing, and usage information; may share data with vendors and service providers; and stores data on servers in the United States.
The company says conversations are not used to train its AI models. It also says users can request updates, deletion, or blocking of information through support, while acknowledging that no online transmission is completely secure.
There is an important qualification around anonymity. The marketing page refers to encryption and anonymous conversations, while the privacy explanation says that signed-in conversations are linked to the user’s email. The safest conclusion is that the service uses stated security measures and makes a no-training claim, but you should not treat it as anonymous or risk-free.
Before submitting a prompt, remove:
- Full names, phone numbers, email addresses, and social handles.
- Home, workplace, and exact location information.
- Passwords, payment details, or identity documents.
- Unedited screenshots containing someone else’s private information.
- Details that could expose another person without consent.
Use a description such as “the person I have been dating canceled twice” instead of uploading an identifiable conversation. Do not use the service as the primary resource for an active safety emergency, domestic violence, sexual coercion, stalking, threats, suicidal thoughts, or severe mental-health symptoms. Contact emergency services, a local domestic-violence organization, a licensed clinician, or trusted local support as appropriate.
Cancellation and refund warning
This is one of the most important parts of the buying decision. Matthew AI is a recurring subscription that renews automatically until canceled. The terms contain slightly different timing language, referring in different places to at least 24 hours or at least one business day before renewal. Do not wait that long: cancel several days early through the customer billing portal.

The support center explicitly warns that deactivating or deleting a profile in the Love Life app does not automatically cancel Matthew AI membership. Deleting an app is not a cancellation method.
The current support information says Matthew AI subscriptions do not qualify for refunds and that canceling does not produce a full or partial refund for unused time in the current billing cycle. Save the cancellation record and check the next card statement.
Pre-subscription checklist
- Screenshot the displayed price, billing frequency, and plan name.
- Confirm whether you are buying monthly AI access or annual Love Life Club membership.
- Save the cancellation instructions.
- Set a reminder several days before the next renewal.
- Cancel through the billing portal, not by deleting the app or profile.
- Save the confirmation email or portal record.
- Review the following payment statement.

Try the free text or voice sample first. If you subscribe, anonymize your prompts, record the billing terms, set an early renewal reminder, and cancel through the customer portal when the service stops adding value. Skip it if you need therapy, human accountability, guaranteed results, or a flexible refund policy.
