AMD’s bundle with Unknown 9: Awakening and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was a 2024 promotion, not a current deal. The purchase window ran from August 6 through October 5, 2024, and the final redemption deadline was November 2, 2024. As of September 15, 2026, buying one of the previously eligible AMD products does not automatically include these games.
The offer covered selected Ryzen processors, Radeon RX 7000-series graphics cards, and certain AMD-powered laptops. Eligibility depended on the exact product, participating retailer, region, and—in the case of laptops—the combination of CPU and GPU. AMD’s campaign terms are the controlling reference.
What games did AMD bundle?
The reward included both:
- Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2
- Unknown 9: Awakening
AMD’s 2024 terms assigned approximate retail values of $60 and $50 respectively, for a stated combined value of $110. That was a historical estimate for the promotion—not a current price, cash value, or guaranteed saving.

The games were delivered through Steam. They were not unrestricted cash-equivalent credits, and Steam and publisher account terms applied.

AMD’s campaign terms listed these desktop processors:

These were the models in AMD’s master terms. A retailer could advertise a narrower selection, so an eligible model in the general AMD list was not necessarily covered by every store’s version of the promotion.

Eligible desktop Radeon GPUs
The listed desktop graphics cards were:
- Radeon RX 7900 XTX
- Radeon RX 7900 XT
- Radeon RX 7900 GRE
- Radeon RX 7800 XT
- Radeon RX 7700 XT
- Radeon RX 7600 XT
Not every board-partner card or retailer listing automatically qualified. AMD required a purchase from a participating retailer or e-tailer, and regional exclusions applied; the terms specifically marked some products as unavailable for the promotion in Japan. Check the exact product listing, promotion badge, and purchase region rather than relying only on the GPU family name.

Laptop eligibility was stricter. Under the listed laptop rule, the system needed both a qualifying Ryzen processor and qualifying Radeon graphics.

Eligible mobile graphics:
- Radeon RX 7700S
- Radeon RX 7600S
A laptop with only one qualifying component did not satisfy the listed combination requirement. For example, an eligible Ryzen processor paired with Nvidia graphics was not enough, nor was a qualifying Radeon GPU paired with a different processor.

That final deadline has passed. An unused code may still be worth submitting to AMD Rewards support, but AMD’s terms do not provide a basis for promising that an expired code will be honored or reactivated.

How redemption worked
During the active campaign, the documented process was:
- Buy an eligible product from a participating retailer during the purchase window.
- Obtain the retailer-issued coupon code. Depending on the seller, it could arrive at checkout, inside the product box, by email, or through an online post-purchase request.
- Create or sign in to an AMD Rewards account.
- Enter the coupon code and provide the requested product information.
- If AMD prompted you to do so, install its product-verification tool.
- Use a Windows PC with the eligible hardware installed and detected. AMD’s terms say this verification could be required.
- Link a Steam account through AMD Rewards.
- Claim the included games. They were then added to the linked Steam account.
Internet access, a valid Steam account, and acceptance of Steam and publisher terms were required. If a game had not yet officially launched when claimed, the terms allowed it to remain locked until its release date.

Important restrictions
- Retailer participation: AMD’s product list did not mean every seller participated. Retailer-specific tables could be narrower.
- Exact product identity: Confirm the full CPU model, GPU board-partner model, or complete laptop configuration.
- Country of purchase: Each application had to be redeemed in the country where the qualifying product was purchased. Imported and marketplace hardware required particular caution.
- Regional and age limits: Participants generally had to be at least 18 or the age of majority in their country, whichever was older. AMD’s terms also excluded various countries and territories, including China, Belarus, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, Sudan, and Venezuela, among other restrictions.
- Copy limits: The terms limited claims to one copy of each application per eligible system or product and per person or email address, with a three-application household limit.
- No unlimited duplicate claims: Buying both a qualifying CPU and GPU did not guarantee unlimited copies.
ASUS described its version as a worldwide campaign, but that wording did not override AMD’s country, retailer, availability, export, and legal restrictions. The full AMD terms should be used for regional eligibility.
What to do if redemption failed
If the promotion had been active and an eligible product was installed but verification failed, AMD’s terms directed customers to AMD Rewards support. AMD could request additional proof of purchase or other documentation.
Useful records include:
- Retailer receipt or invoice
- Order number
- Product serial number, if available
- Coupon email or physical voucher
- Screenshot of the retailer’s promotion listing
- Copies of AMD Rewards support correspondence
If a retailer advertised the bundle but supplied no code, contact the retailer first because sellers used different delivery methods. Then contact AMD Rewards with the invoice and evidence of the promotion. For an old code in 2026, support is the only reasonable escalation route, and success is not guaranteed.

Not for this promotion. The games should not be counted as part of the value of a current CPU, GPU, or laptop purchase. Buy the hardware only if its performance, price, platform compatibility, and warranty make sense without the bundle.
Any current AMD promotion must be verified separately through an active retailer listing and a new valid coupon. The AMD Rewards portal is useful for redeeming a valid code; its existence does not make the 2024 offer live. Also compare newer-generation hardware, current discounts, and other game bundles instead of treating AMD’s historical approximate $110 value as present-day savings.
