Public Geekbench 6 results for Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 systems range from about 2,845 to 2,927 in single-core and 14,102 to 15,789 in multi-core. A useful expectation for a well-performing system is roughly 2,850 or better in single-core and around 14,500 or better in multi-core—but these are results from complete laptops and mini PCs, not a guaranteed score for the processor in every machine.
The spread reflects differences in laptop power settings, cooling, memory, firmware and benchmark version. Geekbench’s processor summary currently shows figures labeled Geekbench 7, so those scores should not be mistaken for Geekbench 6 results.
What is the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370?
The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is a laptop-focused processor in AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 Series, built on the Strix Point design. It combines four Zen 5 cores with eight Zen 5c cores for 12 cores and 24 threads, with boost clocks up to 5.1 GHz. AMD lists a 28 W default TDP and a configurable range of 15–54 W. It also includes Radeon 890M integrated graphics. These are processor specifications, not a promise that every laptop will run at the same power level or deliver the same benchmark result. AMD’s specifications provide the full details.
The configurable power range matters: an HX 370 in a slim notebook may be tuned for lower heat and noise, while a larger system may allow more sustained power. The model name alone does not tell you how a particular computer is configured.

Public Geekbench 6 results
The following results are examples from public submissions and an independent review, not a controlled average. Versions and system configurations differ, so read each row as evidence of the range rather than as a direct head-to-head test.
| System | Geekbench version | Single-core | Multi-core | Reported conditions |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AZW SER9 | 6.7.1 | 2,927 | 15,789 | Windows 11 Pro; Balanced power plan. Geekbench result |
| Framework Laptop 16 | 6.7.1 | 2,922 | 15,298 | Windows 11 Pro. Geekbench result |
| Framework Laptop 16 | 6.6.0 | 2,875 | 15,413 | 64 GB memory configuration. Geekbench result |
| Framework Laptop 16 | 6.6.0 | 2,837 | 14,723 | Separate user submission. Geekbench result |
| ASUS Zenbook S 16 | 6.4 | 2,845 | 14,102 | Independent review result. TechRadar review |
The examples suggest about 2,800–2,950 single-core and 14,000–15,800 multi-core as a practical public-result range. A score near the upper end is not a guaranteed retail result: the fastest submission may reflect a particular power mode, configuration or run condition.
What the single-core score tells you
Single-core performance is a useful directional indicator for tasks that do not keep many CPU cores busy at once. That includes much everyday browsing and office work, application responsiveness, light photo editing, and some game-engine or emulation workloads. Results in the high 2,000s point to strong single-threaded performance for a premium mobile Windows system.

Geekbench runs a particular set of workloads; real applications differ in how they use the CPU, memory and other hardware.
What the multi-core score tells you
Multi-core results are more relevant to workloads that can use many CPU threads, such as video encoding, software compilation, rendering, batch photo processing, compression and running several demanding applications at once. The observed span—from 14,102 in the Zenbook S 16 review to 15,789 in the AZW SER9 submission—is large enough to matter in some CPU-heavy tasks.

- BLOW AWAY THE COMPETITION – High core count CPUs create more heat when at full load. The TUF Gaming A14 is equipped to handle its high-power CPU with an upgraded pair of 89-blade dual fans.
A higher result can indicate that a system handles a short, parallel benchmark workload more quickly. It does not prove that the processor silicon is better, or that the machine will maintain that advantage during a long render or code build. Power limits and cooling can strongly affect multi-core performance.
Why scores vary between HX 370 systems
- Configured power and performance mode: AMD lists a 15–54 W configurable range. Manufacturer modes such as quiet, balanced and turbo can use different power and fan behavior.
- Cooling and sustained power: Chassis size, fans and thermal design affect how long a system can maintain high CPU power. A short benchmark run may benefit from boost behavior that a longer workload cannot sustain.
- Memory configuration: Capacity, speed and channel configuration differ between systems and submissions. The score belongs to the complete computer, not the processor in isolation.
- Firmware and software state: BIOS power tuning, chipset drivers, operating-system updates, background activity and security software can influence a run.
- Benchmark version: Results from Geekbench 6.4, 6.6 and 6.7 should be labeled by version rather than treated as perfectly interchangeable.
- Power source and temperature: A battery-powered run is not equivalent to a plugged-in one, and a first run on a cool system may differ from later runs after the cooling system warms up.
Geekbench 6 versus Geekbench 7
Check the benchmark generation before comparing numbers. Geekbench’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor page currently labels its displayed 2,533 single-core and 15,960 multi-core figures as Geekbench 7 CPU scores. They are not Geekbench 6 results and should not be placed in a Geekbench 6 comparison as though they were measured by the same version.
How to investigate a low score
These are practical troubleshooting guides, not official AMD pass/fail thresholds. One result alone cannot establish that a processor is defective or throttling.
- Single-core below roughly 2,600: Check the Geekbench version, power mode, AC connection, background load and BIOS before drawing a conclusion.
- Multi-core below roughly 12,500–13,000: Check whether the system is in a quiet or reduced-power mode, whether it is overheating or throttling, and whether firmware is current.
- High single-core but low multi-core: Burst responsiveness may be intact while sustained all-core power or cooling is constrained.
- Both scores low: Verify processor identification and investigate power-saving settings, system load and thermal conditions.
For a more useful check, follow this sequence:
- Confirm the test is Geekbench 6 and record the exact 6.x version.
- Verify that Geekbench identifies the processor as Ryzen AI 9 HX 370.
- Connect the system to its AC adapter and select the manufacturer’s performance mode, if available.
- Close CPU-heavy background applications and allow the system to cool before testing.
- Check for BIOS and chipset-driver updates through the computer manufacturer.
- Run the benchmark three times and compare the median, recording power mode and whether the machine was plugged in.
- If scores remain low, compare with results from the same laptop model and configuration. Temperature, power and clock data can help distinguish a limit from background interference, but the score alone cannot diagnose throttling.
What Geekbench cannot establish
Geekbench 6 is a CPU benchmark, not a complete laptop review. It does not establish battery life, fan noise, performance over a 10–30-minute workload, GPU or gaming performance, NPU application performance, display quality, SSD speed, software compatibility, unplugged performance or performance per watt. For workstation use, pair it with a sustained CPU test and application-based results; for a portable system, also consider battery, thermals and noise.
For gaming, look for game-specific frame rates at stated resolution and graphics settings, along with details about the Radeon 890M or discrete GPU, memory and plugged-in or battery operation. For AI workloads, look for application-specific NPU or GPU tests: a CPU Geekbench score does not measure local AI acceleration.

How to use the score when choosing a computer
For maximum CPU throughput
Prioritize reviews showing sustained multi-core testing, strong cooling and the performance mode you plan to use. A larger chassis or performance-focused design may sustain demanding work better, but may trade portability, noise or battery life.

For a thin-and-light laptop
Consider fan noise, surface temperatures and sustained performance alongside the peak score. The Zenbook S 16’s 14,102 multi-core result in the cited Geekbench 6.4 review illustrates why a thin implementation may not match stronger public results from other systems.
For gaming or GPU-heavy work
Do not use CPU Geekbench scores as a proxy for game performance, video effects or 3D rendering. Compare the complete GPU configuration and workload-specific tests instead.
For AI features
Do not assume that the “AI” in the processor name means a CPU benchmark measures the NPU. Confirm that the applications you use support the relevant accelerator and seek tests for those applications.
Bottom line
The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is a strong premium mobile CPU, with public Geekbench 6 results clustering around 2,800–2,950 single-core and 14,000–15,800 multi-core. Treat those figures as a range for complete systems, not a guaranteed chip score. For buying decisions, compare the exact laptop’s sustained performance, cooling, noise and battery behavior—and keep Geekbench 6 results separate from Geekbench 7.
