That means headlines describing Amazon as deleting a “new anime release” are misleading. The new release was an experimental localization option, not new animation.
Yahoo/Total Film’s account described the date-specific changes, while Ars Technica reported on the label and subsequent removal.
Was the entire film removed?
The evidence supports the narrower conclusion that Prime Video withdrew the AI English audio track. It does not establish that Amazon removed No Game No Life: Zero itself from Prime Video in every market.
Some coverage indicated that the title no longer had an English-language option after the experimental track vanished. However, Prime Video availability and audio choices vary by country, licensing agreement, account, and date. They do not, by themselves, prove that Amazon breached a contract, violated copyright law, or acted unlawfully. What happened to Amazon’s wider AI-dubbing plans?
The removal does not prove that Amazon abandoned AI dubbing. A later report discussed a Prime Video job listing seeking leadership for an AI-enabled dubbing platform. Because the listing was reportedly deleted, it is evidence of apparent continued interest—not proof of a finalized product, permanent policy, or approved rollout.
Likewise, the anime incident does not prove that every AI-dubbing project at Amazon used the same technology or workflow. Each title, language, territory, and licensing arrangement could be different.

Where can viewers watch the film?
There is no reliable, current territory-by-territory availability result in the supplied research. Viewers should check the title directly in their country on Prime Video, HIDIVE, Crunchyroll, and authorized digital or physical retailers.
