Best overall: Sony WF-1000XM6. Choose Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) for the strongest noise cancellation, Galaxy Buds4 Pro for a Samsung phone, Pixel Buds Pro 2 for a Pixel, and Technics EAH-AZ100 for sound quality. Your ear shape, phone brand and sale price can change the best choice.
“Best for Android” means broad Bluetooth compatibility plus a useful Android app, codec support or ecosystem features—not that the earbuds work only with Android.

1. Sony WF-1000XM6 — best overall Android earbuds
The WF-1000XM6 is the safest one-pair recommendation for most Android owners. Sony lists IPX4 protection and its QN3e noise-cancelling processor. See the official product page and independent Android testing.

- Strong and Smart Noise Cancelling: Reduce noise by up to 42dB with an advanced active noise cancelling system. With adaptive technology, soundocre P30i detects external sound and automatically selects a level of noise cancelling optimized for your ears.
- Transparency Mode: Let in the world or focus on your audio, the choice is yours. Simply switch to transparency mode to hear the world around you when needed.
- Powerful Bass: Unleash deep, punchy bass with soundcore P30i noise cancelling earbuds' 10mm drivers, amplified by the soundcore exclusive BassUp technology for an immersive, robust audio experience.
- Long-Lasting Convenience: Enjoy up to 10 hours of playtime (6 hours with ANC) on a single charge, and up to 45 hours with the case (25 hours with ANC). A quick 10-minute charge provides 2 hours of use, perfect for your on-the-go lifestyle.
Buy it for commuting, flights, offices and mixed-brand Android use. The foam/silicone tips need maintenance, the fit is not universal, and LDAC can reduce battery life or conflict with multipoint.
2. Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) — best ANC
Bose remains the strongest starting point when blocking aircraft engines, buses, trains or HVAC hum matters more than every other specification. The second generation adds wireless charging and updated adaptive ANC. Bose documents the design on its product page; comparisons from SoundGuys and Tom’s Guide place it among the leading ANC performers.
The substantial earbud and stability-band design may not suit every ear. Battery life is less competitive, especially with Immersive Audio, and the Android feature set is less ecosystem-specific than Sony’s.
3. Samsung Galaxy Buds4 Pro — best for Galaxy phones
Galaxy owners get the deepest integration: Adaptive ANC 2.0, Adaptive Noise Control, Voice Detect, Siren Detect, 360 Audio, device switching and Samsung voice features. Samsung lists IP57 protection and a US starting price of $249.99 on its product page.
They still pair with other Android phones through Galaxy Wearable, but Samsung’s 24-bit/96 kHz UHQ audio, some codecs, AI functions and switching require specific Galaxy devices and software. Check Samsung’s compatibility chart before buying.
4. Technics EAH-AZ100 — best sound quality
The AZ100 is a premium alternative for listeners who value natural, detailed sound and LDAC more than ecosystem automation. It works broadly with Android and offers extensive customization. It is a less obvious choice for maximum ANC, and its charging case is bulky. See Technics at technics.com and comparative testing from RTINGS.

5. Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 — best for Pixel
Pixel Buds Pro 2 pair a lightweight, twist-to-adjust stabilizer with Tensor A1 processing, Adaptive Audio and Google Assistant or Gemini-related features. Google quotes up to 30 hours with the case and lists a $229 price on its Store page. Pixel software, Android version, account state, country and language can determine which voice features appear. Non-Pixel owners should compare Sony, Bose and OnePlus first.
6. Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 — best audiophile alternative
The MTW4 remains attractive for detailed sound, codec breadth and Android customization. It is an older flagship, its ANC is not the reason to choose it, and the larger fit may bother small ears. Buy it when discounted against newer models through Sennheiser.

The Tour Pro 3’s smart charging case and broad compatibility suit travelers who want controls and flexibility. The case takes more pocket space and JBL lacks Samsung or Google-level phone integration. Details are at JBL.
8. Nothing Ear (3) — best design-focused midrange option
Nothing offers distinctive styling, cross-brand Android compatibility and app customization. Expect less isolation than Sony or Bose, and confirm the current codec list, IP rating, battery claim and US price at Nothing’s store.
9. OnePlus Buds Pro 3 — best for OnePlus and value
OnePlus users benefit from fast pairing and deeper controls, while other Android owners still get normal Bluetooth functionality. Advanced features can be phone-dependent, so check the current listing at OnePlus.
10. Soundcore Liberty 4 Pro — best app value
Soundcore’s app supplies unusually broad EQ and listening controls. It is a value pick when its current promotion supports that claim, not a substitute for flagship ANC or microphones. Check Liberty 4 Pro pricing directly.

11. Sony WF-1000XM5 — best discounted premium buy
The XM5 still delivers strong ANC, LDAC, EQ and multipoint. At similar prices, the XM6 is the better purchase; choose XM5 only with a meaningful discount and new, authorized stock. Official details: Sony WF-1000XM5.
12. Sony WF-C710N — best lower-cost Sony
This is the economical route to Sony’s app and ANC experience. It lacks premium codecs and flagship processing, so describe it as good for its price rather than XM-level. See Sony.
13. CMF Buds 2 Plus — best inexpensive feature set
CMF targets low-cost ANC and app controls. Verify current US pricing, microphones, durability, firmware support and returns at CMF; budget ANC cannot match Bose or Sony.
14. EarFun Air Pro 4 — best budget codec candidate
Air Pro 4 is appealing for inexpensive ANC, multipoint and modern codec support. Retail availability, app polish and support vary, so confirm the model and price at EarFun.
15. JBL Live Beam 3 or Soundcore Space A40 — sale-dependent value
Choose Live Beam 3 for JBL’s app and smart-case approach via JBL. Choose Space A40 when long battery life and a low sale price matter more than premium sound or calls; it is an older platform at Soundcore.
How Android compatibility really works
- Bluetooth playback: SBC and AAC work broadly.
- Companion apps: Sony Sound Connect, Galaxy Wearable, Bose, Pixel Buds, Nothing X, JBL Headphones and Soundcore unlock EQ, updates, fit tests and ANC controls.
- Codecs: LDAC requires a compatible Android phone and setting; high-resolution modes can reduce battery life or disable multipoint.
- Switching: Fast pairing and seamless handoff are often limited to the maker’s phones.
- Spatial audio and AI: Availability depends on phone, Android version, app, content, country and language.
ANC, fit and sound: what matters in practice
ANC is strongest against steady low-frequency engine and HVAC noise. It is less reliable against speech, keyboard clicks, sudden sounds and wind. A poor seal can make a cheaper earbud outperform a higher-rated model, so test every tip size, consider foam versus silicone, and use a return policy that permits hygienic earbud returns.

- Real-Time Adaptive Noise Cancelling: Advanced ANC reduces noise by up to 52 dB. Adaptive technology detects your surroundings and automatically chooses the best noise-cancelling level for you
- Hi-Res Certified Sound with LDAC: Experience stunning, lossless Hi-Fi audio. Powered by LDAC, and Hi-Res Audio, these noise-cancelling earbuds reproduce musical nuances, delivering rich, well-balanced treble and bass.
- Real-Time 100+ AI Translation: Communicate effortlessly in over 100 languages. AI instantly translates speech with high accuracy, keeping conversations smooth and natural.
- 6 AI-Enhanced Mics for Clear Calls: Six microphones work with an AI noise reduction algorithm to separate your voice from background noise. The wind-noise reduction algorithm keeps calls clear even outdoors.
- Ultra-Long Playtime & Fast Charging: Enjoy up to 10 hours of playtime on a single charge (50 hours with the case). Even with ANC on, get 8 hours per charge and 40 hours total. A quick 10-minute charge gives 3.5 hours of listening.
Stems, bean-shaped shells, wings and stability bands create different pressure points. Check weight, case pocketability and whether the earbuds remain secure during exercise. IPX4, IP57 and similar ratings describe tested water or dust resistance—not swimming or immunity to salt, soap or heavy rain. Samsung’s IP57 and Sony’s IPX4 are not interchangeable.
Do not equate 24-bit/96 kHz with automatically better sound. Tuning, seal and EQ usually matter more, while LDAC can trade battery life or connection stability for higher bitrate. Compare battery figures only when ANC state, codec, volume and spatial mode match; manufacturer ANC-off estimates are not directly comparable with ANC-on results.

Calls, battery and common problems
Microphone quality varies with wind, traffic and conferencing apps. Check performance in ordinary phone calls as well as Meet, Teams, Zoom and WhatsApp. If one earbud drains faster, inspect charging contacts, fit and adaptive-ANC use; one microphone may be working harder.
ANC sounds weak
- Try every included tip and run the app’s fit test.
- Clean microphone openings as directed by the manufacturer.
- Disable adaptive modes and compare fixed ANC.
- Confirm ANC is enabled and retest in the same environment.
- Exchange the earbuds if a comfortable seal is impossible.
LDAC is unavailable
Confirm phone support, enable LDAC in Android Bluetooth or the companion app, and disable a multipoint mode that limits it. LDAC is optional; stable SBC or AAC can still sound excellent.
How to choose by phone
| Your phone or priority | Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Samsung Galaxy | Galaxy Buds4 Pro | Most complete Samsung integration |
| Google Pixel | Pixel Buds Pro 2 | Google voice and device features |
| OnePlus | OnePlus Buds Pro 3 | Fast pairing and value |
| Motorola, Xiaomi, Nothing or mixed Android | Sony WF-1000XM6 | Broad app, codec and multipoint support |
| Android plus Windows laptop | Sony WF-1000XM6 or Technics AZ100 | Less dependence on one phone ecosystem |
Ranking method
The ordering weighs ANC and passive isolation at 30%, Android compatibility and app quality at 20%, comfort and fit at 15%, sound and codec support at 15%, calls at 10%, battery, durability and charging at 5%, and value at 5%. It combines current independent comparisons with manufacturer specifications, penalizes ecosystem lock-in for general Android recommendations, and treats older products as sale-dependent. Test procedures differ, so the list does not pretend to provide one universal ANC decibel ranking. RTINGS currently places the WF-1000XM6 at the top of its Android list; its broader roundup includes Samsung, Technics, Nothing, Bose and Sennheiser alternatives.
