The best Discord game bot depends on what your group wants to play: Dank Memer for a sprawling economy game, Pokétwo or PokéMeow for Pokémon collecting, Mudae for anime and game-character collecting, and GarticBOT for drawing-and-guessing sessions. For XP and rewards rather than a full game, look at Arcane, Tatsu, or a server-management bot you already use.

This list separates game-first bots from gamification tools and flags options whose current operation or feature details need confirmation. A large server count or directory ranking is not proof of quality, safety, or uptime. Check each bot’s official page and support links before inviting it.

Quick comparison

Bot Best for Experience Progression model Free and setup notes
Dank Memer Deep economy game Collecting, fishing, hunting, exploration, pets, farming, trading Confirm current details and server settings Core game access and optional paid features may differ; check the live site
Pokétwo Open-source Pokémon game Random spawns, catching, trading, marketplace, 3v3 battles Global marketplace and trading are part of the experience Official site describes it as free and open source
PokéMeow Pokémon alternative Catching, evolving, trading, battling Check current rules for the exact feature Official site says it is free; verify supporter benefits separately
Mudae Anime and game-character collecting Character rolls, wishlists, trading, multiplayer and word games Check the current game configuration; do not assume every system is global Core access is listed as free, with paid features also available
Tatsu Community economy and virtual pets XP, currency, items, pets, houses, profiles, stores, leaderboards Global economy and profiles, with some server-specific features Feature and support options vary; check current terms
OwO Animal collecting and social competition Collection, hunting, battles, trading and currency are commonly associated with it Verify the specific progression and data rules Confirm live commands, permissions and support through official channels
GarticBOT Drawing and guessing Short, active group rounds Session-based rather than a persistent RPG loop Check current official availability and invite flow in Discord’s App Directory
Discord Games Bot Quick mini-games A bundle of simple games, including examples such as tic-tac-toe Primarily individual sessions Check current support and commands in its App Directory listing
TriviaBot Quiz-style rounds Trivia is a good fit for timed, score-based group play Confirm whether the current bot offers scorekeeping or leaderboards Only add a bot after confirming its official listing, question source and active support
IdleRPG Asynchronous RPG progression Intended for text-based progression that can continue while players are away Verify current data persistence and reset rules Confirm the original bot is active and its official invite and documentation are current
Virtual Fisher Focused fishing progression Fishing-themed collection and progression Verify data persistence and leaderboard behavior Confirm current developer, commands and official invite before choosing it
Bake.gg Bakery-themed incremental game Cozy idle-game concept Check whether progression is server-specific or global Appears in game-bot discovery listings; confirm active gameplay, support and monetization
Arcane XP and role rewards Leveling and engagement features, alongside server tools Server XP and reward configuration; confirm current limits Gamification tool, not a full standalone game; check paid feature limits
Dyno Moderation first, with extras Server management and some entertainment commands Not a dedicated game progression system Choose it for management needs, not solely for games; see official documentation
MEE6 Leveling and community management XP, rewards and broader server tools Check current server and account settings Gamification-adjacent; verify live pricing and free limits

Progression and pricing can change. Global trading or profiles do not necessarily mean every balance, setting, leaderboard, or reward is shared across servers. Check the bot’s current documentation before building a community around its economy.

Best Discord game bots by type

1. Dank Memer — best all-around economy game

What you do: Build an ongoing game loop around currency, collecting, fishing, hunting, exploration, pets, farming and trading. Dank Memer is the broadest fit here for a server that wants a game members can return to between conversations.

#1 Best Overall
GameSir G7 SE Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One & Windows 10/11, Plug and Play Gaming Gamepad with Hall Effect Joysticks/Hall Trigger, 3.5mm Audio Jack (White)
  • Versatile compatibility: supports Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One X/S consoles and PC Win10 and above (including the game platform Steam).
  • Precise control: features Hall joysticks and Hall triggers for a comfortable feeling, long service life and improved game accuracy.
  • Plug and Play Convenience: Wired USB connection (removable) for easy setup and instant play without the need for additional drivers.
  • Customizable experience: Includes 2 custom backbuttons that allow users to eliminate false triggers and improve their gaming experience.
  • Impressive gameplay: Provides a pulsating vibration trigger and an asymmetric vibration grip motor for intense tactile feedback.

Best for: Active communities that enjoy asynchronous progression and competition. Trade-off: Its many systems can crowd out ordinary chat, and gambling or robbery mechanics may not suit younger audiences or every server’s rules. The official site has store and freemium resources, so do not assume every feature is free or that purchases are purely cosmetic. Review the live feature and purchase information at dankmemer.lol.

2. Pokétwo — best open-source Pokémon bot

What you do: Catch Pokémon that spawn in conversation, collect them, trade, use the marketplace and battle in three-on-three matches. Its official site describes it as free and open source and highlights global trading and a marketplace, making it a strong fit when players want a shared collection game that can extend beyond one server.

Best for: Pokémon-focused communities with enough active chat to make encounters engaging. Trade-off: Spawns can create channel noise, and trading, rarity and battle systems take time to learn. Use a dedicated game channel and explain local rules. It is a third-party Pokémon-themed bot; do not imply endorsement by The Pokémon Company. See Pokétwo’s official site.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

3. PokéMeow — best alternative Pokémon game

What you do: Catch, evolve, trade and battle Pokémon. It belongs in the same broad category as Pokétwo, but the encounter, command and progression loops differ, so try it on its own merits rather than assuming one is a better version of the other.

Best for: Players who want another Pokémon-style experience or prefer its current interface and community. Trade-off: Check the live help and support resources for current commands, progression, data rules and supporter benefits. Its official site says the bot is free to use: pokemeow.com. Like other Pokémon-themed bots, it should not be presented as an official Pokémon product absent explicit authorization.

4. Mudae — best anime and game-character collection bot

What you do: Collect characters through rolls, build wishlists, trade and play multiplayer or word-based games. It suits anime, manga, comic and video-game fandoms more than a conventional RPG. Mudae’s official site claims a database of more than 140,000 characters and hundreds of commands; those are creator claims, not independently audited counts.

Best for: Fandom servers comfortable with scarcity, repeated play and character competition. Trade-off: Character ownership can create disputes, and mature content, spoilers and fandom disagreements need rules and moderation. The core bot is listed as free, with paid features available; verify current limits and the current command prefix in its help resources rather than relying on old guides. Visit mudae.net.

Logitech G F310 Wired Gamepad Controller Console - Blue/Black
  • With broad game support, the Logitech Gamepad F310 works with old standbys to today's biggest titles, so it's easy to set up and use with your favorite games.
  • Profiler software allows the gamepad to be programmed to perform keyboard and mouse commands for games without gamepad support.* * Requires software installation.
  • A familiar control layout that doesn't require a learning curve to be able to use, with all the same buttons as on an Xbox 360.
  • The unique floating D-pad rests on four switches-instead of a single pivot point-making it responsive to quick changes in direction.
  • The six-foot cord lets you lean back and play a comfortable distance from your PC monitor.

5. Tatsu — best community economy and virtual-pet system

What you do: Earn XP and currency, collect items, trade, care for pets, decorate houses, build a profile and use stores and leaderboards. Tatsu is between a full game and an engagement platform: members get progression, while server owners can use community rewards.

Best for: Communities that want participation rewards and a persistent social profile. Tatsu describes its economy and profiles as global while also offering server stores and leaderboards, so distinguish user-wide progression from local configuration. Its site’s server-use figures are self-reported, not an independent quality measure. Consider the extra complexity and moderation needed to balance an economy. See Tatsu’s official site.

6. OwO — best for animal collection and social competition

What you do: OwO is commonly associated with animal collecting, hunting, battling, trading, currency and social commands. It can suit a group that wants collecting and competition rather than a single short party round.

Best for: Communities that enjoy a themed collection loop. Trade-off: Confirm current commands, pricing, permission requests, support and progression rules from the live official listing or support community before adding it; feature descriptions and command examples can age quickly. Official site: owobot.com.

7. GarticBOT — best drawing-and-guessing option

What you do: Play drawing-and-guessing rounds together. Unlike an economy bot, it is an active group activity, so it works best when people are online at the same time and want a short game night.

Best for: Voice-chat groups and scheduled casual sessions. Trade-off: It is less suited to asynchronous play; check current official availability, invite flow and content controls in the Discord App Directory before inviting it.

8. Discord Games Bot — best for quick mini-games

What you do: Play simple mini-games; the App Directory listing gives tic-tac-toe as an example. A small bundle of quick games can be a better fit than installing a deep economy bot when friends just want a short diversion.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

9. TriviaBot — consider only after checking the current listing

What you do: A quiz bot can support timed questions and group competition, but the name alone is not enough to identify a currently maintained product or confirm how it handles scores, question sources and permissions.

Best for: Groups that want accessible quiz rounds rather than collecting or RPG progression. Trade-off: Before installing, confirm the exact bot’s official invite, developer, current documentation and support. If those are unclear or inactive, choose a maintained quiz app from Discord’s App Directory instead.

10. IdleRPG — check whether the original bot is still active

What you do: IdleRPG is associated with asynchronous, text-based RPG progression: the appeal is developing a character without needing every player online for a live match.

Best for: Groups interested in a persistent RPG loop. Trade-off: Its current operating status, official domain, commands and data persistence need confirmation before you rely on it. Do not use an old invite or assume old progress systems still work; verify the current official support channel first.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

11. Virtual Fisher — check the current service before choosing

What you do: The concept is a focused fishing game with collection and progression, a lighter alternative to a bot with many overlapping economies and systems.

Best for: Communities that want a narrow, easy-to-understand activity. Trade-off: Confirm the current developer, invite, command list, persistence rules and maintenance status through official channels. If those cannot be confirmed, do not treat an old directory entry as proof that the service is active.

12. Bake.gg — a bakery-themed idle-game candidate

What you do: Bake.gg has appeared in game-bot discovery listings as a bakery-themed idle or incremental game, offering a different theme from Pokémon, anime and general economies.

Best for: Players who like cozy incremental progression. Trade-off: A discovery listing is not a guarantee of stability or support. Confirm that gameplay is available, check current documentation and paid-boost details, and look for a credible official support route before adding it. Discovery listing: DiscordBotList’s games category.

13. Arcane — best for XP and role rewards

What you do: Reward participation with XP, levels and roles, alongside other server tools. That makes Arcane a gamification bot, not a full RPG with a separate fictional world or collection loop.

Best for: Communities where member activity and role progression are the goal. Trade-off: XP farming and spam can undermine the system, and role awards require appropriate role hierarchy and permissions. Check current plan limits and configure where XP is earned. Official site: arcane.bot.

14. Dyno — use it when moderation is the main need

What you do: Dyno is primarily a server-management bot for moderation, automations and logging, with entertainment commands as extras. It belongs in this list only as an adjacent option for owners who already need its management features.

Best for: Servers that want moderation first and a few additional engagement commands. Trade-off: It is not a dedicated game, and adding multiple moderation bots can duplicate logs or create conflicting automations. Check Dyno’s site and documentation for current modules and paid features.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

15. MEE6 — a leveling comparison, not a dedicated game

What you do: MEE6 is a server-management and engagement product often considered for XP, levels and rewards. Compare it with Arcane or Tatsu when the objective is community participation—not with a Pokémon or economy game.

Choose by the experience you want

  • One deep economy game: Start with Dank Memer, if its mechanics and monetization fit your community.
  • Pokémon collecting and battles: Compare Pokétwo and PokéMeow based on their current interface, rules and progression; do not run both by default.
  • Anime and game-character collecting: Mudae is the clearest fit, provided your server is ready to moderate content and collection disputes.
  • Pets, profiles and community economy: Consider Tatsu, especially if server rewards matter as much as gameplay.
  • Drawing and guessing: Check GarticBOT’s current App Directory availability for active group rounds.
  • Quick casual games: Check Discord Games Bot or a currently supported trivia app.
  • XP and roles: Compare Arcane, Tatsu, MEE6 or Dyno based on the management features you actually need.
  • Small friend group: Prefer a lightweight game with limited permissions and no need to tune several currencies.
  • Large public server: Prefer a bot with clear official documentation, support and configuration controls; use dedicated channels and moderation rules.

How to add a Discord game bot safely

  1. Open the bot’s official website or Discord App Directory listing. Confirm the developer identity and support links; avoid unofficial invite links.
  2. Choose Add to Server, Invite or the equivalent, then select the intended server. You generally need Manage Server permission to install an app.
  3. Review requested permissions before authorizing. A game bot commonly needs View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links, Read Message History, Add Reactions, Use External Emojis or Use Application Commands, depending on how it works.
  4. Grant Manage Roles only if it must award roles, and Manage Messages only if it needs to moderate or clean up messages. Treat Administrator as a warning: do not grant it automatically; check the bot’s official explanation and whether installation can proceed without it.
  5. Create a dedicated channel such as #bot-games if spawns, commands or notifications could clutter conversation. Restrict access or commands by channel where the bot and server allow it.
  6. Run the bot’s current help command—often /help or a documented equivalent—and configure channels, cooldowns, roles and leaderboards. Do not assume all bots use the same command prefix.
  7. Test ordinary gameplay and any role or moderation action with a non-administrator account. Check role hierarchy if the bot cannot assign a reward role.

If it does not respond, confirm you installed it in the right server, that commands are enabled in the channel and that the bot’s role has the permissions it needs. Recheck its dashboard or official support before reinstalling. If it behaves unexpectedly, restrict or remove it through Server Settings → Integrations. Never install an executable or share account credentials because an invite page says they are required.

Discord describes bots as applications that respond to commands, events and interactions; its bot documentation explains the platform model. Discord distinguishes bots from Activities, which are embedded web applications launched inside Discord. A bot is not the only way to play together: for a game designed to launch inside a channel, look for an Activity rather than a command-based bot.

Free play, paid features and fairness

“Free bot” can mean that the app can be added at no cost; it does not promise that every feature is free, that play is unlimited, or that purchases have no competitive effect. Pokétwo’s official site describes it as free and open source. PokéMeow also says it is free to use. Mudae offers free core access but lists paid features. Dank Memer has store and freemium resources; Tatsu and community-management tools may also have paid or supporter options.

Before settling on a bot, check its official current terms for core gameplay limits, cooldowns, optional currency or cosmetic purchases, premium features, supporter tiers, voting rewards and whether paid benefits affect competition. Prices and bundles change, so this article does not quote them. For a competitive server, ask whether purchases or boosts create an advantage before making the bot’s economy central to the community.

Global progress or server-local rules?

Progress can be server-bound (earned only in one server), global (follows a player across communities), hybrid (for example, a global profile with local leaderboards), or part of a per-server economy. These distinctions matter: a shared economy can provide continuity but may import wealth or items into a server; a local economy is easier to balance but may not follow members to another community.

Tatsu explicitly describes a global economy and profiles while also offering server-specific stores and leaderboards. Pokétwo describes trading across servers and a global marketplace. For other bots, check the current rules for the exact inventory, balance, leaderboard and game mode you care about—one global feature does not prove all progression is global.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

One bot or several?

Start with one game-first bot and add another only if members actually use it. One broad bot is easier to explain and means fewer permission sets, but can dominate chat and leaves the server dependent on one service. Several specialized bots can serve different interests, but they add commands, notifications, permissions, possible conflicts and separate economies.

In particular, running Dank Memer, Tatsu, OwO and another economy bot together can leave members juggling currencies, inventories, cooldowns and leaderboards. Multiple XP systems can also create confusing reward rules. Keep games in dedicated channels, state which bot’s economy or XP counts for server rewards, and remove integrations the community no longer uses.

Safety, moderation and reliability

  • Match mechanics to audience: Review gambling, robbery or theft mechanics, purchases, loot-box-like systems and mature or suggestive character databases before inviting a bot into a younger or all-ages server.
  • Control noise: Random spawns, repeated game commands and automated rewards can overwhelm chat. Use a dedicated channel, sensible cooldowns and clear rules.
  • Check data and account requests: Review the privacy policy and terms, what data the service collects, whether account linking is required and whether users are sent off-platform. Do not treat App Directory presence as a safety guarantee.
  • Plan for service changes: Third-party bots may go offline, change commands or pricing, or stop supporting a feature. Do not assume game progress is backed up or recoverable; check official status, updates and support before relying on it.
  • Do not rely on popularity alone: Directory rankings can help discover options, but votes, server counts and listing freshness do not establish balance, privacy, uptime or fit. DiscordBotList explains that its ranking uses several listing and popularity signals in its games category.

For a contrasting warning, the domain formerly associated with Epic RPG currently displays a domain-for-sale page. That is not enough to establish the bot’s full status, but it is a good reason not to trust an old recommendation or invite without confirming the project’s current official presence.
