For a softer variation, try this prompt: “Instrumental lo-fi for a quiet reading hour, gentle rain, warm felt piano, soft brushed drums, no vocals.” Choose a duration between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. The product information lists MP3, WAV and MP4 lyrics-video exports; confirm current details on the Media.io AI Music Generator site. Commercial licensing is included on paid plans.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How To Prompt For Relaxing Lo-Fi
Lo-fi for relaxing works best when the prompt names a calm use and keeps the arrangement gentle. Ask for an instrumental track if you want background music without lyrics. Start with one texture and one lead instrument, then add a restrained rhythm; piling on sound details can make a prompt harder to steer.
- For studying: “Instrumental lo-fi for focused reading, soft piano chords, light rain ambience, muted drums, steady and unobtrusive.”
- For winding down: “Slow, mellow lo-fi for evening relaxation, warm electric piano, gentle vinyl texture, sparse beat, no vocals.”
- For a short loop: “Seamless 15-second lo-fi loop, quiet rain, soft keys, subtle kick and snare, no abrupt ending.”
These are prompt ideas, not guarantees about what any generator will produce. Use controls such as tempo, key, mood or duration only where a tool’s information establishes them; check the vendor’s site for unsupported controls, phone availability, export options and current terms. Do not upload another person’s voice or music unless you have permission, and check the applicable platform terms before using generated or remixed audio commercially.
