The reported list of 117 Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO devices was a December 2023 compilation for the original HyperOS rollout—not a current upgrade roadmap. It included tablets as well as phones, grouped regional variants and aliases, and was not published as a complete official Xiaomi master list. The rollout was expected to run from late 2023 into the first quarter of 2024; actual availability varied by model and region.
“Eligible” meant expected or likely to receive that first HyperOS release. It did not guarantee a prompt OTA, the same features in every country, or an upgrade to a particular Android version. Use the list below as a historical reference, then check the exact model and regional firmware on your device.
Updated August 18, 2026: This is an archival HyperOS 1-era list, not an eligibility list for HyperOS 2, HyperOS 3 or later versions.
The reported 117-device list
The names below reproduce the Xiaomiui compilation circulated by technology outlets in December 2023. Slash-separated names are retained because some entries refer to regional aliases or grouped variants; they should not be read as proof that each name is sold in every country or is the same device in every case. The source list also contains an apparent duplicate POCO M5, so “117” is a reported count, not an independently verified count of unique global models. Mundo Xiaomi’s reproduced list and ProAndroid’s report provide the contemporary context.

Was the list official?
No. The 117-device figure came from a Xiaomiui compilation reproduced by other outlets; Xiaomi had not issued a complete official document naming all 117 devices when these reports appeared. Contemporary coverage described the list as expected or likely eligibility, not a guaranteed update schedule. Tuổi Trẻ/PLO’s reproduction likewise notes the absence of a complete official list.

The report concerned the first HyperOS rollout, with stable releases expected to begin around December 2023 and continue into early 2024. Those dates were forecasts at the time, not commitments for every country or variant. A name appearing here does not establish that a particular handset received an update, or that all devices in a grouped entry received identical builds.

HyperOS is not the same thing as an Android-version upgrade
HyperOS is Xiaomi’s software platform and user interface; the Android version is the underlying operating-system base for a particular build. A HyperOS-branded update does not, by itself, mean the phone moved to the newest Android release. Check both the HyperOS build and Android version in the phone’s software information rather than treating one as proof of the other. Update reporting has also highlighted that rollout timing and Android bases can differ by device and region. TechYorker’s rollout coverage discusses those distinctions.

Major OS upgrades and security support are separate as well: a device may stop receiving major platform upgrades while continuing to receive security fixes, depending on Xiaomi’s support policy for that model and region.
Why a listed phone may not show an update
- Staged rollout: OTA releases are commonly distributed in waves, so owners of the same model may see an update at different times.
- Regional firmware: Global, EEA, India, Turkey, Russia and China builds can follow separate release paths. A model name alone does not identify the firmware branch.
- Carrier approval: Carrier-sold variants can require separate certification and may receive a package later.
- Model suffixes and rebranding: Similar names may refer to different hardware, while one device can be sold under different Redmi, Xiaomi or POCO names in different markets.
- Paused or replaced builds: A rollout can be delayed, paused or reissued after release; a past timetable does not prove that an OTA remains available now.
- Support window: The 2023 compilation is not evidence of ongoing major-update support in 2026. Current support depends on Xiaomi’s policy and the exact regional variant.
Imported phones deserve particular care: a China-market device does not necessarily use the same firmware package as an international model that looks similar. Do not infer compatibility from a slash-separated alias in the list.

How to check your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO device
- Open Settings and then About phone.
- Note the exact device name and model number, plus the current HyperOS or MIUI version, build number and region identifier if shown.
- Return to the update screen. Depending on the device and software build, it may be labelled System update, Updater or HyperOS version.
- Choose Check for updates. If an OTA is offered, review its build number, Android version and security-patch level before installing.
- If no update appears, confirm the device’s regional firmware branch and allow for staged distribution. A missing OTA is not, by itself, proof that the model was excluded from the historical report.
- Before installing, back up important data, use a reliable Wi-Fi connection and make sure the battery is sufficiently charged.
Menu labels vary by region and software version. If you are unsure about a build, use Xiaomi’s support information for your country or wait for the device’s own OTA rather than downloading a package from an unfamiliar source. Changing region or manually flashing firmware is not a safe first-line fix: an incompatible package can cause data loss, boot problems or other device issues.
What the list can—and cannot—tell you in 2026
It can help identify which models were expected to receive the original HyperOS release when the compilation appeared. It cannot tell you whether a phone is eligible for a later HyperOS generation, whether its regional build is still supported, or which Android version it currently runs. For those questions, give priority to an official OTA for the exact device, its model number and regional firmware, and current Xiaomi support information for that market. Treat third-party trackers and the old 117-device compilation as secondary context, not a substitute for device-specific confirmation.
