The fastest built-in way to find your WordPress system information is Tools > Site Health > Info in the WordPress dashboard. Expand the sections you need, then use the copy or export control to prepare a diagnostic report for support.
Find system information in the WordPress dashboard
- Sign in to your WordPress administration area.
- Open Tools > Site Health.
- Select the Info tab.
- Expand the sections relevant to your problem.
The Info screen is a read-only, detailed inventory of your site’s technical environment. Depending on the installation, its sections can include WordPress version and configuration, server setup, database details, directory and file permissions, active themes, installed plugins, and media handling.
Because the values are specific to your site, do not substitute a version or limit from another installation. Copy the values shown on your own Info screen when reporting a problem.

Copy the report for WordPress support
Use the Info screen’s copy or export control to place the displayed diagnostic information on your clipboard. Paste it into your support ticket, forum post, or message to your administrator. Supplying the complete relevant sections is usually more useful than sending a screenshot of a single setting.

- Expand only the sections that relate to the issue when a support agent requests specific details.
- Keep the copied text intact when possible so the support team can identify versions, extensions, and server conditions.
- Review the report before posting it publicly. WordPress support guidance indicates that some private information is filtered, but you should still check the copied content for hostnames, paths, usernames, or other details you do not want to disclose.
The Info screen reports settings; it does not provide controls for changing those settings.
Know the difference between Status and Info

Site Health was introduced in WordPress 5.2. Status and Info are complementary: Status highlights findings, while Info supplies the underlying technical inventory a support person may need.

wp cli infoThis command describes the WP-CLI environment, including the operating system, shell, PHP binary and version used by the CLI, the CLI php.ini file, and the WP-CLI version.
That PHP output belongs to the command-line runtime. It is not automatically the PHP version or configuration serving browser requests through your web server. For the website’s server-side details, use the dashboard’s Site Health > Info screen and inspect its Server section.

wp site-health infoUse it when you need to retrieve Site Health data from a terminal-based workflow. Make sure you run commands in the intended WordPress installation and under an account with the required permissions.

Some values shown in Site Health are controlled outside WordPress, such as hosting-level PHP settings, web-server limits, or permissions managed by the server administrator. The Info screen can identify the condition, but it cannot change it.
- Record the exact section and value shown in Site Health Info.
- Compare it with the requirement given by the plugin, theme, or support agent.
- Contact your hosting provider or server administrator with the copied details and the requested change.
- After the provider confirms the change, return to Site Health and verify the updated value.
On managed hosting, the provider may apply the change for you; on a self-managed server, the administrator may need to edit the web-server or PHP configuration directly.

A quick route for common questions
“What WordPress version am I running?”
Open Tools > Site Health > Info, expand the WordPress section, and read the version reported for that installation.
“What PHP version does my website use?”
Use the Info screen’s Server section for the web environment. Do not rely on wp cli info alone, because it reports the PHP binary and configuration used by WP-CLI.
“What should I send to support?”
Copy the relevant Site Health Info sections, review the text for sensitive details, and include it with a description of the error, when it began, and what changed immediately beforehand.
“Where do I see warnings?”
Open the Status tab. It groups results into critical issues, recommended improvements, and passed tests; switch to Info when you need the detailed configuration behind a support investigation.
