For a straightforward ApiFlash replacement, start with ScreenshotNeo: it offers a one-request screenshot API, bills only clean screenshots, and has a free tier of 1,000 screenshots a month without a card. ScreenshotNeo is the first alternative to try; the six services below cover other needs, from a close like-for-like API to browser automation and scraping platforms. Choose by successful captures, throughput, rendering needs, and how your workload handles blocked or failed pages—not by the advertised monthly price alone.
Start with ScreenshotNeo
ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server from Yorker Media. A GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP, or PDF. Its distinction for scaled capture is its billing and cleanup behavior: before capture, it accepts cookie or consent banners like a visitor and removes more than 60 known consent platforms, newsletter popups, and chat widgets. Each cleanup step can be turned off. Bot checks and CAPTCHAs, blank pages, timeouts, failed loads, and cache hits are not billed; response headers identify the page verdict and billing result.
It also supports full-page capture with lazy images loaded, CSS-selector element capture, dark mode, device presets and custom viewports, retina scale, PDF options, HTML/CSS input, custom CSS and JavaScript, click-before-capture, selector hiding, wait conditions, request and resource blocking, custom headers, cookies, user agents and Authorization, timezone and geolocation, transparent backgrounds, resizing, configurable cache TTL, signed image links, asynchronous jobs with signed webhooks, bulk capture of up to 100 URLs per call, usage API, and an OpenAPI specification. Parameter names used by other screenshot APIs also work, which can ease switching, though you should still test your exact request and output handling.

Six ApiFlash alternatives
The following six services are drawn from provider material or an industry comparison dated 2026. Plans, quotas, request limits, and anti-bot behavior can change; treat quoted prices and allowances as published figures from that material, not a promise that terms remain unchanged. Only ScreenshotOne pricing and Urlbox plan details below are attributed to their respective providers; ScrapingBee, Scrapfly, and ScreenshotRender figures come from the ScreenshotRender comparison, not first-party pricing pages.
| Service | Published scale/pricing detail in the 2026 material | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| ScreenshotOne | Up to 100 free screenshots/month; Basic $17/month for 2,000, with 40 requests/minute and $0.009 per extra screenshot (ScreenshotOne, 2026). | Closest like-for-like screenshot API. |
| Urlbox | Ultra $99/month for up to 15,000 renders; Business listed at $498/month (Urlbox, 2026). | More demanding rendering, stealth, privacy, or support requirements. |
| Browserless | Pricing figures not stated in the cited screenshot documentation. | Screenshots embedded in programmable browser workflows. |
| ScrapingBee | Screenshot-specific limits and current pricing not established in the cited comparison. | Workloads that also need scraping and proxy rotation. |
| Scrapfly | Comparison lists a one-time 1,000-credit allowance and a $30/month starting plan; screenshot calls consume credits. | Teams already using its scraping platform. |
| ScreenshotRender | Comparison lists a refillable free tier of 100 renders/month and a $14/month starting price. | A price-focused candidate worth verifying. |
1. ScreenshotOne: closest like-for-like replacement
ScreenshotOne is the most direct comparison when the job is simply to send a URL and receive a rendered image or document. Its documented endpoint is https://api.screenshotone.com/take; the getting-started documentation describes GET and POST requests. It also accepts JSON options and hosted HTML or Markdown input.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Its Basic plan’s published 40 requests per minute is a useful throughput reference, but it is not a guarantee that every workload will sustain that rate: confirm the current limit and how your account handles concurrency and bursts. ScreenshotOne says only successfully rendered screenshots not served from cache count toward quota. Its listed capabilities include PNG, WebP, JPEG and other formats, HTML and PDF rendering, full-page capture, caching, S3 upload, webhooks, signed links, ad and cookie-banner blocking, and stealth mode. Compare its cleanup and failure handling against your pages rather than assuming that similarly named controls behave identically.
2. Urlbox: tiered rendering and stealth options
Urlbox publishes Lo-Fi, Hi-Fi, Ultra, Business, and Enterprise plans. The 2026 pricing material lists Ultra at $99 per month for up to 15,000 renders, described as suited to complex rendering scenarios with priority support. Business is listed at $498 per month with increased limits, SLAs, security, and dedicated support; the pricing table varies request-per-minute limits, third-party website coverage, and privacy or stealth behavior by tier. A seven-day trial is advertised in that material.
This tiering makes Urlbox relevant when third-party coverage, privacy, stealth, or enterprise support matters more than the lowest entry price. Before choosing a tier, map your target domains and peak request rate to the exact plan terms. The published summary does not establish that every tier provides identical stealth behavior or throughput.

- CRISP CLARITY: This 22 inch class (21.5″ viewable) Philips V line monitor delivers crisp Full HD 1920x1080 visuals. Enjoy movies, shows and videos with remarkable detail

- THE PERFECT VIEW: The 178/178 degree extra wide viewing angle prevents the shifting of colors when viewed from an offset angle, so you always get consistent colors
3. Browserless: screenshots inside browser automation
Browserless is a better fit when a screenshot is one operation in a larger browser task. Its REST APIs cover screenshots, PDFs, content retrieval, structured scraping, crawling, downloads, and function execution. The dedicated /screenshot endpoint accepts a URL or raw HTML with Puppeteer-style options and returns PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Its documentation shows POST authentication with a token, full-page capture, and element-bounded capture.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →That breadth can avoid stitching together separate browser services when your workflow already needs programmable actions. It also means Browserless is not necessarily the simplest drop-in choice for a single URL-to-image request: check how your current code maps to its authentication, request body, and browser options before estimating migration effort.
4. ScrapingBee: scraping-first with screenshot support
ScrapingBee is described in the 2026 comparison as a general web-scraping API, with screenshots as a secondary feature. Its credit-based accounting and proxy-rotation positioning may suit a workload that combines extracting page data with capturing images, particularly when access to bot-protected sites is part of the job.
Do not infer screenshot economics from a general scraping credit price. The cited comparison does not establish screenshot-specific limits or current pricing, so verify the credit cost, supported capture options, and relevant plan limits directly before projecting volume.

- In-Plane Switching (IPS): See excellent color accuracy and consistency across wide viewing angles with In-plane Switching (IPS) technology.
- Ultra-thin bezels: Maximize your viewing experience with thin bezels.
5. Scrapfly: sensible when scraping is already in your stack
The comparison lists a one-time 1,000-credit allowance, a $30 monthly starting plan, opt-in anti-bot handling, and a credit cost for screenshot calls. Because screenshots draw on a broader scraping platform’s credits, Scrapfly is more natural for a team already paying for scraping than for a service needed only to render screenshots.
Those credit and plan details come from the comparison, not a first-party pricing page here. Confirm current credit accounting and feature limits with Scrapfly, then estimate costs using your expected mix of screenshots and other scraping requests.
6. ScreenshotRender: a price-focused candidate to verify
The 2026 comparison presents ScreenshotRender as a dedicated API with a refillable free tier of 100 renders per month, a $14 monthly starting price, per-successful-shot billing, and stealth on paid plans. Those details come from an industry comparison rather than a first-party pricing source in the material available here. It may be worth evaluating if the stated price is attractive, but first confirm current plans, reliability, terms, and the exact definition of a billable successful shot with the provider.

Estimate successful shots, not just requested URLs
Separate clean captures from cache hits, timeouts, blank results, browser errors, and pages that stop at a bot check. Providers may bill these outcomes differently. Calculate your expected monthly successful captures and examine overage or credit rules alongside included volume. ScreenshotOne publishes a $0.009 per-extra-shot figure for Basic; other billed-unit details should be checked against the current plan terms.

- INCREASED VERSATILITY: Connect to more; Plug devices straight into your monitor for increased flexibility, making your computing environment even more convenient
Test peak throughput and queue behavior
At your expected traffic shape, check request-per-minute limits, concurrency, burst handling, and whether work is queued or rejected. A monthly quota does not tell you how quickly a batch can finish. ScreenshotOne’s 40 requests per minute applies to its published Basic plan; Urlbox’s limits vary by tier. The cited Browserless screenshot documentation does not provide comparable figures, so obtain the applicable limit for your intended plan.
Match rendering options to the page
Test the specific cases your product needs: full-page versus viewport capture, lazy-loaded content, element selection, JavaScript rendering, wait conditions, custom viewport or device settings, image format, and PDF output. Check whether you can supply HTML directly if that matters. A feature list is not a substitute for confirming that the option exists on the plan and endpoint you intend to use.
Treat anti-bot and location needs as separate tests
“Stealth,” proxy rotation, and third-party coverage are not interchangeable guarantees that a CAPTCHA or access restriction will be overcome. Use a representative set of target pages and regions, and record whether each result is clean, blocked, or incomplete. The material describes Urlbox tier differences in stealth and third-party coverage, and ScrapingBee and Scrapfly as relevant to proxy or anti-bot workloads; it does not establish universal access or a guaranteed bypass for any provider.
Review delivery and operations
Decide whether your integration needs caching, storage upload, signed public-image links, webhooks for asynchronous jobs, bulk requests, usage reporting, or an SLA. ScreenshotOne lists caching, S3 upload, webhooks, and signed links; Browserless offers a broader browser-task API. These differences can matter more than a small per-shot price gap if they eliminate separate infrastructure in your application.

Migration and validation checklist
- Inventory the ApiFlash parameters your application actually sends, including viewport, full-page behavior, waits, authentication, cookies, and output format.
- Map those requirements to the replacement endpoint and note differences in parameter names, response body, error signaling, billing, and cache behavior.
- Run a representative test set: static pages, JavaScript-rendered pages, long pages with lazy images, consent banners, popups, and pages that may block automated browsers.
- Compare returned images and classify failures separately from successful captures. Confirm the vendor’s definition of billable success before moving production traffic.
- Test your actual batch size and peak arrival rate, including retries and webhook handling if you use asynchronous jobs.
- Recalculate monthly cost using expected successful captures, cache hits, overages or credits, and any broader platform spend—not only the headline plan price.
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo provides a single-call API rather than requiring you to build and maintain your own browser capture flow. Cookie banners, popups, and chat widgets are removed before the shot; bot checks, blank pages, and failed loads are never billed; its MCP server lets AI agents take screenshots; and 1,000 screenshots per month are free with no card, with paid plans starting at $5 for 3,000.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I treat any of these as a drop-in ApiFlash replacement?
Not without testing. Endpoints, authentication, option names, response handling, and billing rules can differ; verify the parameters your application depends on before switching production traffic.
Does a stealth or anti-bot feature guarantee a successful screenshot of a protected page?
No such guarantee is established here. Test the particular pages and regions you need, and account for blocked or incomplete results in your workflow.
