Not as a straightforward software matchup. “Payroll Plus” is used by several unrelated payroll providers, so its features and availability depend on which vendor you mean. Ultimatix, by contrast, is a restricted Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) portal for employees and affiliates—not a publicly presented HRMS that an outside business can buy. Identify the Payroll Plus provider first; if you want a commercial TCS HRMS, TCS iON HRMS is the more relevant product to investigate.
First, identify which Payroll Plus you mean
Payroll Plus is not a unique product name. It can refer to unrelated local payroll services, software-and-service offerings, or a product inside a broader benefits platform. Features, service area, and purchasing terms from one provider should not be attributed to another.

Before comparing features, confirm the provider’s legal or trading name, country and state, product or login URL, and whether you are evaluating software, managed payroll, or a payroll bureau. The same name does not establish that vendors share a platform or service footprint.
What Ultimatix is—and who can use it
The official Ultimatix login page identifies a TCS environment with access restricted to employees and affiliates. It presents authentication options and TCS helpdesk information, rather than public product plans, pricing, a sales process, or general customer registration. That makes Ultimatix an internal employee and enterprise-services portal, not a normal commercial HRMS purchase for an unrelated employer.

Public descriptions associate Ultimatix with employee self-service activities such as viewing payslips and tax documents and handling leave or attendance. A third-party guide describes those functions, but it says it is not affiliated with TCS; treat it as descriptive, not as a complete official product specification: Ultimatix guide.
Also distinguish payroll visibility from payroll execution. A portal can present a payslip or let an employee submit a leave request without being the system that calculates an employer’s payroll, funds payments, withholds tax, or files employer returns. Public access information does not establish Ultimatix as an external payroll processing service.

What a Payroll Plus provider may offer
Because the brand is shared, there is no single feature set to compare with Ultimatix. The following are examples from the providers’ own materials, not a combined specification.

The provider advertises full-service payroll, tax filing, direct deposit, payroll reporting, employee self-service for pay stubs and W-2s, and time-and-attendance options. Its HR/HCM offerings include onboarding, document management, applicant tracking, PTO requests, benefits enrollment, and an employee HR portal. Payroll Plus CSRA
Its public materials describe full-service payroll, direct deposit, tax filing, online payroll processing, time and attendance, applicant tracking, WOTC and background checks, performance reviews, time-off management, and reporting. It states a customer range of one to 500 employees. These are provider claims, not proof that every capability is included in every engagement: Payroll Plus CSRA services.

This provider emphasizes payroll and tax services alongside time and attendance, ACA compliance, workers’ compensation, HR compliance support, voluntary benefits, and workforce-management tools: Payroll Plus Louisiana solutions.

A feature-count winner would be misleading: these offerings do not share the same buyer, access model, or stated purpose. Even where both relate to payroll or HR, an employer’s outsourced payroll service and an employee portal are different parts of the work.

Which should you choose?
Consider a specific Payroll Plus provider if you are an employer
Proceed only after confirming it serves your jurisdiction and your organization’s payroll model. Decide whether you want a provider to run payroll and handle tax services, software your staff operate, or a combination. Local coverage, supported worker types, service responsibility, and included support matter more than the shared brand name.

Use Ultimatix only if you are authorized
If you are a TCS employee or affiliate, use the access and support routes provided by TCS. If you represent an unrelated business seeking HR or payroll software, Ultimatix is not presented as an available product to procure.
Investigating a commercial TCS HRMS?
TCS separately publishes information about TCS iON HRMS. That is a more plausible TCS product to examine when the intended question is “Which commercial HRMS should our organization evaluate?” Its brochure does not establish a public price; request product, implementation, and commercial details from TCS.
Pricing, scope, and implementation: what to verify
A numerical price comparison is not supported by the public information cited here: Payroll Plus pricing is vendor-specific and generally quote-led, while Ultimatix has no public commercial price page. Ask for a written proposal that separates recurring software or service charges from implementation, payroll processing, year-end forms, integrations, support, and optional modules.

Use these questions to assess the actual Payroll Plus provider—or any alternative HRMS—before signing:
- Which countries, states, and legal entities are supported, and are there limits by employee location?
- Who calculates payroll, funds payments, files returns, and responds to tax notices?
- Which forms and statutory reports are included—for example, W-2s, 1099s, ACA filings, or local equivalents?
- Does the service cover contractors, tipped workers, multiple pay rates, or multiple locations relevant to your workforce?
- Are employee and manager portals, timekeeping, benefits administration, and onboarding included or separately priced?
- Which time clocks, accounting systems, or HR tools can be connected, and how is data exported if you leave?
- What conversion work, implementation schedule, training, support coverage, renewal terms, and cancellation terms are documented in the contract?
Bottom line: this is an identity and access question first
Payroll Plus could be a purchasable payroll service, but the exact provider must be identified. Ultimatix is a restricted TCS portal, not a publicly offered competitor for external employers. Compare a verified payroll vendor with the commercial service you actually need; if the TCS connection is central, investigate TCS iON HRMS rather than treating Ultimatix as a product available for purchase.
